I'd like to leave a review but I've never been able to get my car looked at. I've come to the door at least 4 times over the years and each time it's 1.5 hour or more wait to get seen for service (oil change and inspection). I understand the wait time, what I don't understand is why I can't make an appointment. Apparently they get so much business that this model of first come first serve me works for them. The work was performed five years ago, but I felt compelled to write a review. The experience had bothered me enough to warn other potential customers. I normally do not write reviews, especially since I am retired and have positive things to look forward too. I took my Toyota Tacoma in for servicing and was quoted a price to change out the universal joint and to lube all zerk fittings. I left the truck there overnight. The next day I received a call stating the estimated time it would be ready for pick up and the final price. The price was much higher than the amount initially quoted. I asked them to take the truck off the lift as I resorted to taking the truck elsewhere. The manager rejected my plea and I decided not to contest his unsatisfactory behavior. I had an experience earlier in the day with a different car place that made me feel like an inconvenience. Buckys Highway 303 was wonderful. The BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Knowledge, respect and kindness. My car needed a starter so we called and dropped it off within an hour! THEN we got a call that the battery needed replacement. My partner was at work and I was without a car, so Jacob came and picked me up to warranty the battery and returned to work. I had written a negative review, which I retracted. My concern was over a price I was quoted on a part. The manager called my home to explain that he was providing me an "OEM approved part" and that's why the higher cost (almost double). I checked with Autozone on-line, and though the part was "OEM equivalent" (vice OEM approved) and covered by their warranty, it was less than half of the price quoted. The service at this store is good, and their workmanship is likewise. I would suggest however, that when you are quoted a price that seems high, ask the reason why and for less expensive alternatives. For me, getting a quote of over nearly $800 for an alternator was too high. I had the work done for $500 even. That said, I don't want to cause problems for this store because of my experience. Again, the important thing is to ask questions and get all your price options quoted to you up front. Good luck! read more

Dudes there are awesome. Had a muffler replaced. They did it for $50 less than the guys in Gorst quoted me. I was the last appointment of the day and told the mechanic, Brian, to take your time. He did and did an absolutely fantastic job. I am more than happy and the price was very fair. The front desk guy Nick, very friendly too. Gave me alot of advice on my car. Ridiculous wait time. I waited two hours in the lobby with no other customers for them to "diagnose" what was wrong with the car. When I walked in I asked how long that would take and I was told 45 minutes to an hour. I came in with a diagnostic check done showing what was wrong with the car. I asked several times how long it would take and I was told to "give me ten minutes." Thirty minutes later I asked again as the mechanic was eating at this point and they still had no time for me. I wasted hours on my one day off here, had to pay $126 for work NOT to be done, and would absolutely not recommend anyone come here for any auto repair...Ever. read more

These guys are so friendly. It started out with me just needing to unplug my battery from my car to reset some accessories to get them working again, Eric answered the phone and said I could come right in. So I did and it only took about 5 minutes and I was gone. He didn't even charge :D all he asked was that I write a review, but I wanted to wait until I was going in for the rest of what my car needs. Plate lights, upper radiator hose, and front blinker. They said they could take care of all that in one day and I didn't have to wait forever for an appointment. I was able to get one the day after I called!! Alot of people just want to take their car in and don't care what the people are like, I prefer to know I'm going to be handing my vehicle to helpful friendly hardworking people, and I found them here at Buckys. These guys did crappy work and Everytime I came in something new and expensive broke while in their possession. After 5 visits in a few months it was getting insane. When they replaced manifold, I got my car back and after 50 miles, it started steaming from hood. There were cables not latched on right, just crappy job. So then I had further manifold issues and they had to repeat work. I finally stopped coming in and after getting my car back the last time, my ac wasn't working as they returned my car. I was frustrated and 4k in so I just didnt deal with it. Now, another mechanic says things were not put back together right which caused damage (in the same area Buckys was working.) Now I'm at another $1000 to repair their crappy work. I will never return to Buckys and you shouldn't either. Seriously stay away from these guys.... read more

I was less than impressed with the results that Bucky's gave me. I dropped my vehicle off and was told that replacing the clutch would be an eight hour job. I told them to take their time to do it right, and they agreed. Thirteen days later they called me and told me that my car had been finished for two days and I needed to come and get it. They in fact did replace the clutch. However, when I checked under the hood there were several loose screws, disconnected wires, loose wires, and an overall incomplete project. If I had known I would pay them over a thousand dollars to almost finish the job I paid them for, and spend one of my few days off finishing the job. I would never have brought my vehicle to them. If you need work done on your vehicle and want the job done right and completed. I would suggest bringing your vehicle somewhere else. read more

I had doubts going to Bucky's because of some bad Reviews that I had read earlier about some other Buckys location but after calling around and they were going to charge me more I decided to give Bucky's in Bremerton by oil can Henry a shot. I was greeted with a friendly and professional looking individual told him what I needed and he told me have a seat and he will take care of it. He welded a bung in my headers and within about 15 minutes told me thank you for stopping by and I was out the door I must say his professionalism and courteousness will get me to stop by Buckys again if I ever need anything done thank you guys at Buckys You all are pretty awesome read more

we came in for a used car inspection. These guys were great and went above and beyond what was expected. The salesman tried to limit the inspection and they were able to take a look at the vehicle thoroughly. we found a bunch of leaks and rust making the car sadly overpriced. I have to give a big fat rave to Silverdale Bucky's. My 2008 Nissan Pathfinder had the transmission cooler go bad (common issue with this car). I knew what the problem was when I took it in but I didn't say a word. They called me about an hour and a half after I dropped it off and told me exactly what I already knew and nothing more. That's a big deal to me as I have had places try to B.S. me before. Anyways they replaced the radiator and some other small things last February. At this point my transmission was damaged and going out because of the issue with the cooler. I decided to drive it until it completely quit. That happened in late May or early June. I didn't have the money at the time to fix it but had it towed back to Bucky's where it sat for about 6 months. I was able to bring them the money today... yay! They didn't charge me for storage and even negotiated on price. They are by far the best automotive mechanics in the whole wide world! I strongly suggest you give them a try if you're in need of a mechanic. read more

I went to Buckys for an oil change, brake inspection and etc. Upon arriving, I was a little confused because of its location, kind of tucked away so to speak. The manager greeted me outside, opening the door. He said the inspection shouldn't take to long. There was only two other people in the waiting area. I had brought my car in because of vibration and pulsating in my brakes and sometimes smelling an odd odor. The manager let me know of the possibility my rotors may be out, and Etc.. It turned out my car was going to need further work. They don't have a shuttle service available at the time, however the manager drove me home on his lunch break. i was surprised to see these kind of reviews on here. They treated me with excellent customer service. And i was able to pick my vehicle up the following evening. read more

I never write reviews, but I can't let this one go. Nick at Bucky's is hands down the best mechanic I've dealt with. The entire Bucky's team has been phenomenal. I brought my Nissan Titan in (towed actually) with what I thought was possibly a fuel pump issue. I had bought the truck from Lakewood Auto, which by the way never get a vehicle from those guys, they're crooks. Turns out the truck had been sitting and rodents had eaten through most of the wiring. Looks like Lakewood fixed it up enough to make it run for a while so they could sell it. Nick looked at the truck and quoted me 3300 to 5500 for a new engine and wiring. I scraped up just enough and gave them the go ahead to fix it. Several weeks later (and much more than 5500) the truck was fixed. I asked Nick if they were going to charge me any more, as it ended up costing Bucky's about another thousand and and they waived the fees since I had already been quoted the lower amount. I went to get my windshield wipers fixed in September of 2015. They stopped working & wouldn't move so I asked if that is something they could fix & they of course agreed. I paid $683 to have the problem fixed or so I thought & when I went to pick my car up they took me to my car & told me that my windshield wipers worked but do not park correctly & if I would like them to work correctly I needed to pay more money. Obviously after spending almost $700 you want everything to work correctly so I obviously fought that. Also the manager told me he had replaced my cabin filter for free while still charging me $30 for the part, so there was no permission given to replace that & also replaced my windshield wiper blades without permission while charging me for that also. I argued with the manager for over an hour on the phone who was very unprofessional- he gave me a free oil change in return which I obviously would never use. 1 year later & they stopped working again! Took it into another shop & they told me the reason they didn't park correctly was Buckys had broken a part in the setup & never told me or fixed it! A part that is over $200! So one year later another $700 out the window because Buckys was to stupid to know how to fix them. I would also like to throw in there that after the whole situation I went into the Volkswagen dealer to get a quote for everything buckys had charged me for & the work- under $600. While my car was in buckys shop, I also had an employee look up my info on the computer & looked me up on facebook to hit on me. They are rude, overpriced, dishonest & truly don't know how to work well on cars. read more
