If I could, I would give these guys 0 stars!! We took our truck in for new exhaust and muffler due to salt on the roads. We had to take it back 3 times because the weld kept breaking. They didn't give us new brackets, or a sleeve to put on the joint. After 2 days of the last weld it broke again! We ended up taking her, the truck, into a better place. We looked at the work that these guys did. What the hell?! The new muffler already had a crack, after only 1 year! We saw the original hangers, they did not replace any of them!! Beware if you use these guys!!! They are cheap to use for a reason. read more

Long time customer but... I just had 2 tires replaced at Discount on Park Avenue and made it to Kansas City when both dually wheels on drivers side fell off. This caused new rotor, caliper, studs, both wheels and spacer to all be destroyed. I called them but was left on hold for 10 minutes, they hung up and never returned call, note: it was 95 degrees/90% humidity outside and I was trying to find shop to take rig that they broke. Towed and finally repaired, yesterday I went by Discount when I returned to Bremerton. I showed pics of damaged rotor, broken wheel studs and oblong holes in wheels to employee who said "it could not be their fault" acted like nothing ever is, even got in my face, I said to self "please do what you are suggesting". Other employee said "guilty one(Peewee) was probably trying to think of an excuse why he screwed up". Then he suggested someone may have loosened lug nuts when I took breaks but I only stop for gas and 1 hour naps. note: to access lug nug nuts requires 6mm allen to remove wheel cover and requires proper lug nut key doing all this in the time it take to walk into store to pay. Sure dude! Yes, I am not happy that this store that I have been supporting for years refuses accountability or to pay tow, repair, etc... costs $$$ that were caused by them which could have been much worse(5 minutes earlier I was on freeway doing 70 MPH). Nothing but silence and denial from Discount on Park Avenue Bremerton. Hopefully you dont have any issues after sale because obviously there is NO accountability just sales. read more

Briefly. (Long ago) was impressed w/the owner's work and attitude w/reasonable prices, etc. However, lately I have (not) been able to get the receptionist to call me back or have someone else get back to me (ever). If I lucked out and one of the shop techs answered the phone they were quite helpful. Unfortunately I have had to deal w/some bad outfits in my lengthy experience and my instincts have become well honed. I started to (wonder) if this receptionist was related to the boss; wife, girlfriend or the (typically) worst, the 'daughter' so if not being competent no worries of being fired, etc.. Nepotism is often the downfall of many a business and saw first hand how that can happen. Pretty hard to fire your kid (especially) when the mom is in play, too. Guess owner figures can do well enough w/problematic child (but) not fair to the customer. I will try to deal w/this outfit again (someday) but worn out for now. Clear explanation of what's going on, friendly, the mechanics actually seem happy to be there, was able to get me in pretty quickly, good follow-through. Don't let the outside fool you, this is a safe place. No, it's not part of that chain, but might be better. You wanna "Shop Local" but mechanics are hard to trust? Lost my business and referrals forever. Made an appointment for 3:30 today for a simple exhaust mod and when my son showed with is brand new 22 Scat Pack Challenger, they told him to get lost. The place has a local shop feel to it so if you're into stale coffee, used car salesmen like service reps and expired copies of People's magazine then this place isn't for you. You're more likely to find a pigeon with a raccoon's tail late on a Tuesday than you are a better deal than Paul's elbow grease. He always does solid work at an unmatched price. You can take the industry average price for a given repair and multiple it by ~.6(if not less) in most cases and Paul's price will be in that neighborhood. I took my '01 Mitsubishi Eclipse in to get a catback installed, and Paul did it much faster than they had anticipated it would take. Went to work one day, got ready to go home and found my car, literally on the floor my tire was completely flat. I got very nervous because it was well after 5 pm and I knew no one would be open. I called Paul 2 minutes before they closed, I was impressed that he actually answered the phone, he said to have it towed and he'd take care of it first thing in the morning. Got to the shop first thing in the morning, he check all the tires, he suggested I change another one that was looking pretty bad. He was able to give me several budget friendly options. He had to order my tires, I wasn't surprised, I honestly can't say what kindof tires I have but I know everyone, including the dealership, ends up having to order them. He told me they wouldn't be able to fix it that day but they'd be done by 9:30 am the next day. Then he gave me a ride back to work, because they had to keep the car. I honestly could have walked it's less than 10 minutes away, but I was very impressed with service. He dropped me back at my job safely, told me a little about Bremerton (I'm new here) and even said he knew my one of my bosses because their kids went to school together. I had such a great experience, I recommended him to everyone at the firm if they ever need a tire. If I ever have another problem and Paul can fix it, I'm calling him first. Thanks Paul. read more

I went in to get an estimate on new tires and asked if they'd also tighten some bolts on a trailer hitch that I couldn't reach to tighten. While the gal was looking up tires to get me a quote, one of the workers went and tightened the bolts for me which was great. Then I received the quote for the tires/installation which was very reasonable so I made an appointment. I ended up showing up a day early to explain that I might not be available the next day. They said no problem and squeezed me in a day early. Very polite. Very professional. Would definitely go back. read more

Great prices! I got a better set of tires at a better final price than what I was planning on getting from Discount Tires (the chain). Since they don't nickel and dime you with a bunch of various fees, my total was lower than the chain despite getting a more expensive, better quality set of tires. They were super fast to install my tires, too -- estimated the work to take 1 to 1.5 hours but they were done in under an hour. They also told me that they would fix flats and rotate my tires for free for the life of the tires. If only I knew about them when I needed tires on my last car. Sam, the gentleman who was manning the desk when I was there, was super courteous and friendly. I recommended them to my mom (who needs to change her tires soon) and I definitely recommend everybody in central Kitsap to call them when you compare prices. Don't be turned off by the initial per tire quote you get -- pay attention to the final totals after taxes and fees, since that's where I saw the real difference. read more
