It was expensive for the amount of food we got! It is okay, though, because we went for the experience, to sit down and enjoy the ambiance, and on our last night at the beach. You really can't beat this location and what is around the area! It is a casual experience - you order at the bar area, and there was a long line for Sunday night after the 4th of July! For it being a busy weekend, the food did not take long, surprisingly. We waited for the food at the bar and were able to snag a table right outside. For the food: The steak tacos were honestly amazing, and I wish I would have just gotten three of those, considering how much I paid. The carnita tacos were my second favorite. The chorizo was my least favorite, just because I have had better chorizo. Overall, pretty fun. Definitely won't go back again as a broke college student. Let me start by saying that Seaside is an amazing atmosphere for both adults and children. I was highly disappointed with the food and wish I had read the reviews before choosing this spot. My husband ordered a steak quesadilla and I ordered a burrito. My burrito was a 7 out of 10, but husband's quesadilla was a 1 out of 10. It was literally 2-3 tablespoons of steak, a tablespoon of peppers, and cheese- THATS IT! It was most definitely not filling at all. With 2 margaritas, our meal came to $70!!! We don't mind paying for meals, but we do mind paying $70 meals that aren't upholding a standard. We would never go back here again. read more

This open Seaside taco joint is nothing to write home about. The food was average, and that's being generous. The $48 price tag on a lunch for two was about $40 too much. The location is hard to beat, and it's certainly a good environment. But you could do much better off other places for a day at Seaside Beach. read more

We came for lunch while shopping in the area and had a great experience! We sat at the bar and service was amazing and so fast! We got chips and guac, the al pastor tacos, and the grilled steak tacos. The tacos were large and a so delicious. The meat was tender and well spiced. The guac was thick, creamy, and refreshing. You can't beat a taco bar by the ocean. The ambiance was the quintessential beach town experience. Highly recommend for a quick stop. read more

While visiting Santa Rosa beach with family, we decided to come to the Seaside area for some dinner because they have the cutest area with all sorts of food trucks and tiny restaurants so everyone could just pick what they wanted. I opted for Bud and Alley's Taco Bar since the first place I wanted was pretty much out of food by that time but the Taco Bar seemed like a good spot after I checked out their menu. There were a lot of people hanging out so I figured hey, this must be a good place. Well, the food and the mango margarita I had was good but the service was pure trash. That three star rating is based on the food and drink alone. Anyway, when I say at the bar and looked at the menu, the lady behind the bar just kinda looked at me and hovered without greeting me or anything so I finally said "hi...May I have..." and she was like okay and walked away. Not sure if she was having a rough night but ma'am...I know I didn't contribute to it. Placed my order and she just pushed my drink towards me asking with my bill on a clipboard. I signed and left a tip but she never let me know how long my food would take to be ready or ask if I needed anything else. She took the signed receipt and pretty much just walked away without saying much of anything. Hence the reason the service was trash. Ten minutes later I managed to see a guy coming out from the kitchen area with a bag of food that I assumed was mine and sure enough he placed it on the counter and she just pushed it towards me. Again, she never said "thank you" or say "hey, here's your food". So this is pretty much why I gave the three stars because the service could've been soooo much better but it wasn't so there's that. The food was delicious though! The mango margarita was delicious as well! I had a shrimp burrito and it was huge. Full of shrimp, rice, lettuce, cheese, beans, sour cream, and tomatoes. Very tasty and filling. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely try this place again based off the delicious food and drink that I had but if I saw the lady who served me during this visit, I'd probably go the other way. read more

The carnitas taco was extra peppery without much other flavor. The corn tortillas were old and stale. The queso was pretty good, but definitely could do with some extra ingredients. I wanted to like this place, but it just wasn't very good. I'm from Texas so I don't know what the east coast definition of a burrito is but I didn't like it. I got the grilled shrimp burrito and it wasn't what I was expecting. For one they made it upside down so when I tried to pick it up the whole thing fell apart. Then what I had to eat with a fork wasn't good. Super watery wet tortilla and it felt like a salad? I won't be going back. Service was decent. Moderately friendly. They got it out way too fast though and it was freezing cold.... (Makes sense why the burrito was wet from being pre made. Over all the atmosphere was cute, but I wish the food had been good. Not sure why this place has such a low rating (2.5 at time of this review). Our experience was quite the opposite, the food was great, service was great. No complaints. Margaritas were way too sweet (and $12 each for house). Also, bartender/server did not indicate that gratuity was already included on our check (and I tipped more with it realizing it at the time). So be sure to check your receipt before signing and adding additional tip. I wouldn't recommend this place unless your desperate and can't find anything else open. Stopped by while in town enjoying the beach area. Unfortunately, it was raining so I ordered to-go and didn't really snap any pictures since I ordered for a hungry crowd with me. Straight to the point, the tacos were pretty bland. I ordered the cornitas, chorizo and the mahi tacos. Quite honestly, they were pretty packed with protein which was a plus, but lacked a lot of flavor.. The Mahi had no flavor at all and was just very fishy. Even the lime didn't do any justice. I'd say the best of the trio was the chorizo. I also ordered chips and queso, as well ask chips and guac which were the best things I ordered. 2 stars mainly for the nice server that helped me. Maybe half star for the tacos.. at nearly $5 a taco.. I'd probably look elsewhere around the area if i'm back in town. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. There is a guy named Robbie who works here, very rude and terrible manners. Overall the food was pretty average, nothing special. There are much better options to eat at nearby and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I've had three separate but equally awful experiences eating here. The first time I was with my sisters and the staff was barely attentive and rude in general. The second time my mom and I were blatantly ignored, while a couple next to us seemed to be given satisfactory service. It's like the staff chooses who to serve. The third time was my last straw, as well as my last time. I invited two friends, and against my better judgment we settled on eating at this place again. Let me tell you, our last time there was the final nail in the coffin. Bud & Alley's is usually pretty good so I was initially interested in eating at their Taco Bar. But until they hire new bartenders, this place will forever be on my "never again" list. I usually give second chances, but third chances are rare, and they blew it. Literally every other place in Seaside has polite and good service overall, except this place. It's like they choose to hire jerks. read more

We went here hoping to get some good hole in the wall food. I got a steak taco and chips and guac and my girlfriend got lemonade and a chicken burrito. Both our meals cost almost $30 dollars combined. After waiting 15 minutes we got a cold taco, a cold burrito with barely and chicken and probably 2oz of guacamole. The taco and guac were ok just WAY smaller than I expected for the price but my girlfriends $9 burrito was 95% rice and smaller than a soda can.
