The redfish meal was my favorite meal of our trip so far. My partner enjoyed his fish & shrimp meal as well. Employees were a bit cold and not bubbly, but the food outweighed the vibes.

Ok this is not a sports bar (it is), but you wouldn't know from the food. It is very good, I would recommend to anyone. Our waiter was so nice and loved our experience.

Food was absolutely delicious! We really enjoyed the volcano shrimp, shrimp and grits and lobster cheese grill

Sport Bar vibe! Lots of TVs & full bar.

Host and waiter were energetic and welcoming. I ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese, my husband ordered the Turkey Burger with fries. The Lobster grilled cheese is packed with flavor and comes with a tomato bisque for dipping. Though I enjoyed the sandwich, I was looking for more of a lobster taste and I feel that was overpowered by the cheese and tomato bisque. My husband enjoyed his Turkey Burger. He stated the pepper jack cheese and the chipotle aioli were a flavorful combination and made the burger creamy & unique. It is a huge burger! The fries were great! We dipped them in their house made ranch which is 5 stars. We paid less that $40! The inside of the restaurant surprised us. You definitely walk into a sports bar with 12+ tvs. This would be a great place to watch football, etc.

First time here. Stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening, and got seated right away. Our server was super good, friendly, helpful and offered us samples of the food and beer. It helped. Ordered a Calamari appetizer. It was a big order with crispy pieces, with jalapenos and okra. would have liked to have some small whole calamari, and not just the rings. Ordered the shrimp/chicken fry, salad with shrimp, and flatbread pizza. The pizza and salad were very good. The fried foods over breaded and bit greasy. Good for a quick bite, but not someplace that I'm aching to get back to.

I had not been to Shades in years since it was located at Seaside. This location at Philip's Inlet is excellent, spacious, plenty of parking, and offers indoor or patio dining. I went with a long-time friend for lunch and chose the redfish sandwich. I loved it. It had a fresh bun, a freshly fried filet of fish with very light breading, seasoned well and topped with slaw and tomato. The atmosphere was casual yet classy. The background music was not so loud so we could still have a good conversation without struggling. The server was attentive and did great. I will definitely return when in the area.

We started with a few drinks - I was just doing a beer and we split a few snacks that were quick and fresh. The server was outstanding - always checking on us. My husband was interested in the Shrimp Po Boy and he gave a good recap of the unique interpretation that the Scout gave. Husband ordered and enjoyed it. It has a BBQ sauce and different toppings from your standard PoBoy but he liked it. I had the Chicago Hot Dog and was allowed to include the house chips instead of fries and that was a great choice! Dog was good, only thing is the bun was larger than the dog, not sure why that's a pet peeve, but I notice many hot dogs are not as big as the bun. But the dog was good, with plenty of toppings and the bun was toasted and tasty. Others enjoyed several other items, including a Reuben which was huge and apparently very enjoyable. Half came home for lunch the next day. Fun spot and if it's nice, there is a nice outside seating area.

We looked up reviews and came across Bud & Alley's Restaurant as a likely way to do so. We were quite pleased with our experience once we found a table. When we arrived where you could make a reservation for a table downstairs, we were told the better views were upstairs with tables available for anyone who found them. We walked around for a while looking for a table opening up and though we didn't find any tables on the deck upstairs, we did find one with a gorgeous view well before sunset. The server being one of only a few there that night checked on us many times and was very helpful. We each ordered drinks. I got a Frozen Beach Bellini consisting of Lamarca prosecco with peach purée topped with an edible orchid. Then, when ordering dinner, my friend and I each ordered an eight ounce filet mignon consisting of grilled asparagus, Yukon mashed potatoes, and bordelaise sauce. My wife ordered a roasted salmon consisting of green lentils with pancetta and fennel, arugula, and dijon vinaigrette. We were quite delighted with everything we ate and drank! Bud & Alley's has been an award winning iconic restaurant in Seaside Florida since 1986, serving delicious farm- and fish-to-table food, offering exceptional service and making seaside memories for generations. Their restaurant hours are daily from 8 AM to 9:30 PM while the roof deck bar is open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM. They no longer have a happy hour though they have a limited menu Their website (https://www.budandalleys.com) has a lot of great information from the menu, reservation page, newsletter signup (for news, events, recipes and offers), events, reviews, beach cam, online ordering, gallery, press stories, and even links to other Bud and Alley restaurants. There may even be a birthday bonus. As a fun fact, the restaurant is actually named after a dog and cat and not people. You can see that in the logo. If you're in the area and want a good meal with good service and an excellent view, check it out!

The outside was finished nicely, but inside the crab was runny and was as if it was thawed out and then they prepared it. A mushy mess! The grilled grouper entree was better but low on flavor. Sweet potato fries were cold. The calamari appetizer never showed up and only two people working the bar (which was slammed). We had to get up multiple times to ask for water or a napkin, etc. They gave us a rag to wipe down the outside tables before we sat down! ( great, now we work there!) The most enjoyable part of the dinner was the Big Bear sourdough bread! Bud & Alley's waterfront restaurant is not fine dining and expect to find better food elsewhere unless you're just looking for some great drinks and average food, and a sunset then pull up a chair. Also make note in Seaside there are resort fees added like on our bill of $180, we had to pay a $4.38 Entertainment fee and not negotiable. It only takes one bad experience and this was it. on another note, Bud and Alley's Italian restaurant with pizzas are much better choice!
