My husband and I had heard amazing things about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try for date night. First we have both gained a bit of weight in the past year or so, that being said we were seated in a small booth in which he was a bit more comfortable that I was however, I thought they would have offered to switch us to a table from a booth which didn't happen. The steaks were no better than we would have gotten at Outback. The waitress was nice and knew the menu. They offer this amazing bread which would have been even better if we would have received they 2nd one we ask for. I don't think we will be going back. read more

Budds Broiler is definitely one of the best happy hour/ restaurants in the Tricities. The calamari appetizer is excellent, smaller portions but very tasty. Their signature top sirloin was near perfection in cooking. The sides are outstanding and portions are respectable. The snake river Wagyu sirloin was supremely tasty cooked how I like it. Very tender and exceptional cut. The over all environment here is upper class casual, relaxed ambiance, live music on the weekends (great local bands). Patio seating during warm months with nice views of the river. Large selection of alcohol and wine. Happy hour until 7p which is later than most other places. read more

*UPDATE BELOW* We got a table really quick on a Friday night. My wife and I were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. We requested the patio and there ended up being live music which was fantastic. The food was incredible, however, the service was not. It was our 5th wedding anniversary and the server didn't even ask us how we were doing. No extra attention or interactions besides our dinner orders were asked. I would return for the food, but service was much to be desired. *UPDATE* September 2019 Cara, the GM of the restaurant reached out to me to learn more about my experience and was extremely receptive to my feedback. The food is great every time. My last interaction with the manager on a Saturday night was less than satisfactory. I called to try and add 2 people to our reservation. She said that they couldn't accommodate that (which is understandable-it was last minute) i then asked if i could just do an additional table of 2 so our extra family members could still come and i. A rude tone she informed me "we have a completely full restaurant tonight". When i logged back on to open table, every single time slot was open for 2 people. Budd's has quite good food, and has a bit more of a refined ambiance than most places you'd go in the Tri-cities. They also do live music sometimes, which is a cool bonus. Interestingly, the menu is exactly the same as Anthony's - and even uses an Anthony's menu. I ordered the Surf n Turf for $25, which included steak, a lobster tail, baked potato and vegetables and it was pretty good and a stellar value. The service was also very refined, patient and generous. I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 because I was hoping to get some kind of mushroom dish on the appetizer menu, but didn't see one. On New Years Eve 2022 my boyfriend and I had a reservation at Budd's. Little did I know he was going to propose with the help of their amazing team. He called ahead of time and spoke to the manager (Can't remember his name). When we got seated he passed the ring to the manager (unbeknownst to me). The French bread and butter was to die for. As well as our drinks!!!! Our dinner was seriously the best meal I have had in Tri-Cities. The steak, potatoes, and seasoned vegetables were AMAZING. Once we were ready for the bill, a waiter came and set down a decorated plate with our dessert and the box with the ring. He poured us champagne and started recording. Once I realized what was going on my now husband, got up to propose. They filmed the whole thing and made it the best night of my life. I HIGHLY recommend Budd's to any and everyone. If you're looking for a special dining experience, this is not it. We made reservations for our group of 8 a month in advance. This restaurant is on the water, and instead of being seated in the main dining area, we were seated in a separate meeting room. This was very disappointing. The food was less than impressive. I had the steak oscar. Under seasoned steak (Wagyu beef that was somehow tough), (fresh?) crab, and nearly flavorless bearnaise sauce. This restaurant is owned by Anthony's, which is down the road just a little further, and have eaten a very good steak there before, so I'm not sure what the problem is. 4 strikes and I'm out. I have tried Budd's quite a few times now and every time I order a steak it is severely under cooked. I have given enough chances and thought I would mention the issues. For a steak house to use just the temperature of the meat doesn't cut it for the customers. When ordering a steak cooked medium there should be a specific feel and look to the meat and that doesn't happen here. I have gone most of my life enjoying a good cut of meat cooked medium rare/medium and I order medium here hoping that it will be cooked at least up to the medium rare mark but it isn't. The last attempt was on 12/31/2019 and that is the last steak I will attempt to order from Budd's. A medium steak came our rare and was sent back asking for medium and when it made it back to the table it still wasn't close to what I ordered. The server and manager both attempted to see if I wanted anything in it's place so they did their part but the cooks should really know how to cook a steak to order at a steak house. I will go back for the drinks and appetizers but unfortunately not a steak. read more

I ate in the bar during happy hour (which goes to 7pm) and enjoyed it. Had some really tasty sliders (they have 3 varieties: beef, chicken and meatloaf which is hella good). Drinks were good, service excellent and the decor gave it a sort of upscale nautical vibe(they are right on the Columbia River walk). Good place to eat. I did not get a great experience because my burger was served with the cheese paper inside of the cooked burger. I didn't noticed until I was actually eating the burger and felt the paper inside my mouth. The lady helping us, didn't change the burger she asked me if I wanted her to take the paper out for me? She took the plate, took the paper out and gave me back the same burger. I just didn't like that, but my co-workers eating with had a great experience with their food. One of my coworker suggested to the lady helping us with the food if I could get a dessert free because what happened since I didn't eat my burger at all. And the restaurant gave me a dessert for free. But still, I just didn't feel the concerned of the lady to give me a good service. Her attitude was not great. read more

Went for the happy hour to get a feel for the ambiance and traffic flow. Started off with a couple of libations, didn't have to wait that long. Went ahead and ordered some apps off their happy menu. The waygu sliders were ordered medium rate, came well done. Bland with no effort put into bringing out anything in the beef. Meatloaf sliders had some decent flavor to them. Mushrooms had a great flavor. Potato skins were too undercooked for my taste. Finished the night with their "burnt cream" (I've never seen a restaurant word crème brûleé in this manner) which was obviously pulled out of a fridge without even being heated on top. Oh well. All in all $100 that I think I'd spend on sushi next time I head out on a date night. read more

First, the elephant in the room: the prices are HIGH. Look at a menu online before you go, be ready for the food/drink price and tip. If you cant afford it and be happy, go elsewhere. I read several reviews and they went OFF about the price. It is what it is for a reason folks. This is not applebees or sizzler. Now that that is out of the way, food presentation, atmosphere staff, the view? All top of the top. This is a place for memories with your significant other, not where you celebrate your kids' 7th birthday. Had the tri-tip, excellently done. The sides well complimented the beef. September 21, 2018 Budd's Broiler is one of my "go to" spots when it comes to something of a fine dining atmosphere. For this last meal, we took advantage of their Early Bird special. There was so much food, we didn't know how we were going to finish it all. I could tell you about everything we had, but I'll just leave it to the meat loaf. It's not out of line for the quality but it's a lot for a weekly expense.....that is until I discovered the happy hour menu! Had delayed Father's day dinner with family last night, June 22. Ate the biggest steak of my life, shared several bites of it with rest of family of 6, menu had said good to be shared by 2, so except for one person rest had their own orders. I had to have it again for breakfast today. Attentive waiter, but at the same time left us enough so we could talk. all Places are short staffed but I think he did a good job, came in at 630 pm with no reservations left at closing time. I think we'll make it a family Father's Day tradition but 3 people will share the tomahakw steak next time. Appetizers of shaking beef and Brie and fruit were very good, whole family only had one slice of strawberry cheese cake and I guess the old Anthony's tradition of offering the bread left over at the end of day to the last customers to take home does not apply here. read more

The service was fantastic but the food was sub par. Small portions and dinner was luke warm upon arrival. We got the 7 oz sirloin and the early bird London broil. London broil had a weird cranberry jalapeño sauce with a hint of taco seasoning and was uninspiring. The sirloin had a good flavor and was cooked correctly, just was a bit cold- like it had sat under a heat lamp for a minute. Overall underwhelming experience. Wish the portions were a little larger on the appetizer. Cowboy cavier was good and calamari was fresh. Baked potatoes were not hot. Our pork chop and ribeye were real good. We were hounded when we finished the salad by the bus boy, barely set the fork down. Then again when my wife finished her dinner he was right there, asking to clear it. My wife finished her wine and again he was right there. We asked to leave us alone until we left! While it was opening night, a few things were still off. First, my drink order was not right. When the replacement arrived, it was quite watered down. Unfortunate for a $12 dirty martini. I ordered a Caesar salad which was presented beautifully and impractically and was decidedly overdressed. Fortunately, I was able to limit its impact on my meal after two pieces of bread. Additionally, I can understand that many steakhouses offer a la carte sides but the decision to make them "family sized" and not offer an alternative for a single diner was disappointing. The steak was cooked properly, but I was asked to cut into it immediately upon delivery to verify. I prefer not to have my dining pace dictated by a restaurant who is simultaneously not confident in its ability to cook a steak to temperature and eminently confident in its ability to command a premium price for said steak. I am unlikely to return short of a head injury inflicted by the impact of a bag of money. A post script...what a treat to see a server cough a loose cough directly into her hand, then return immediately to her closing sidework...rolling silver. My husband and I felt differently about our experience. We started in the lounge as we had about 30 minutes before our reservation. We both agreed that our server there was quite inattentive. Had a difficult time ordering. The hostess came to get us for our reservation and let us know it would be a few minutes for a window seat which was fine. After nearly 30 minutes we had to check as we were still waiting. She forgot about us. The server in the restaurant did a great job. A little disappointed at how she explained what "medium" and "medium rare" was. It was not consistent with what we were served. My husband had the New York strip and greatly enjoyed it. I had the rib eye and didn't care for it at all. I thought it was dry and a bit tough. It was kind of difficult to eat. I actually didn't eat very much if it because it was so expensive that I thought it would be better to save for my husband than waste it trying to eat when I didn't care for it. I really like tomatoes but the tomatoes served with the dinners had green olives which I do not care for at all. They are so juicy that the flavor permitted through the tomatoes and ruined them for me. Before tip the bill was $211 - I am home now and need to find something to eat because I am hungry - the food wasn't worth eating for me. I wish someone would have checked in and asked about our experience. I do not foresee returning. read more
