Blind Tiger was a nice find on South Howard Avenue about a 10-minute walk from the Epicurean Hotel in a very swanky area of South Tampa. Needing a good coffee fix can be a challenge when you don't know where to look. Fortunately we found when I was desperately seeking and performed a Yelp check to discover this location was down the street from where we are at the moment. Location-wise, the interior is bright and spacious, with its theme of tigers abound. It is quite comfortable, friendly, and welcoming to all, while producing some delicious coffee. Fortunately my money, both the cold brew and nitro cold brew were excellent selections that give me my needed boost. I had the opportunity to order the Dirty Thaiger, an intensely orange iced Thai coffee beverage that is intense, but with a balance of sweetness and nutmeg spice. But beware of its condensation, if you get any on you, it will stain. Additionally, they have delectable sandwich options, especially for breakfast. I enjoyed a croissant sandwich that included eggs, bacon, and greens that were very magical. The cheese danish was additionally very delectable, sweet, and satisfying. On my latest visit I wanted to try a latte with a certain flavor profile and the barista was happy to try to make that for me. Staff is so sweet and knowledgeable! The coffees and breakfast foods def get you right! I almost always aim for a latte with coconut milk, vanilla lavender flavor, and honey/agave whip. I'm giving this four stars because of the adorable details of the venue. I very quickly popped into the Blind Tiger to just check another coffee shop off my list. Still trying to find my favorite in the Tampa Bay Area. I ordered an iced vanilla lavender coffee with almond milk. As I was waiting, I slowed down (amazing how that happens) and actually paid attention to the spot I was in. They have a couple set ups that seem "instagramable" for younger folks looking for that. But the real "aw" moment took place when I noticed the Polaroid photos of the dogs that have visited on the wall. They also have a take a book, leave a book library and it made my heart happy. Most important, the staff seemed as though they were thoroughly enjoying each other's company. Laughing and bantering as they made drinks. Seating was limited but there were tables of all sizes. Parking across the street in a small lot at 1PM on a Saturday was available (that said, the lot was definitely busy). Street parking is also available. I'm very grateful for the quick stop, I walked in probably with more urgency and stress in my mind and walked out less than 10 minutes later with a pretty good coffee and lighter heart. Such a cute cafe in the SOHO area. Perfect place to escape the heat and to get some work or studying done. Free WiFi. Lots of seats and places to work. They got sandwiches, pastries, breakfast, and all kinds of teas and coffees. I love matcha and they had a summer special with a hint of coconut in the matcha and it was really good! Not sweet which is how I prefer my matcha! They give milk preference without extra costs too! I got oat milk without an extra cost! They have a wall of dog pictures which means it is a dog friendly cafe and I wish I had brought my dog to get a picture snapped of him to put on the wall! The lady that took our order didn't even smile once, my boyfriend ordered a pour over coffee and she asked which beans (my boyfriend has never been here) when my boyfriend asked what his options were, she like tossed this box of beans on the counter and made him feel dumb. I ordered Cuban toast to-go and when it came out the gentleman just put it down at the counter and didn't say anything and began an unrelated conversation with his coworkers. I had to ask him if it was my food. Just a bad vibe from the employees. I get no one really likes working on Sunday's but the least you can do is smile :). read more

The Blind Tiger Cafe has been all over my social media and recommended places to try! I couldn't help but stop in and try their coffee! Upon arrival the parking was a bit interesting with the different spots; however, I was able to find good street parking across from the cafe. When walking in you are greeted with the smell of roasted coffee- delicious! I was taken aback by how there was nearly no one at the cafe at 1 pm, but it did not discourage me. I ordered a hot latte with caramel cold foam and caramel. Sadly, they do not have coconut flavoring or milk, but the caramel was still good. I wouldn't say it is the best coffee I have ever had, but I did enjoy it. One of my favorite parts of this shop is the giant neon sign in the back right corner. Not to mention the dog polaroids on the wall right in front of it! They played great music and the workers were so friendly and attentive. They had a wide selection of flavors and types of coffee so If I get the chance to come back I will try a different coffee and maybe get some food too. I heard great things so wanted to give this place a try! I had the Dirty Thaiger and my partner had the Cafe Bombón. I really liked the cafe bombon it was sweet but had that cafe con leche flavor. I wasn't the biggest fan of the dirty thaiger, I love Thai tea so was expecting a similar flavor but besides the color I don't think it was very similar to the traditional ones I have had in the past. I would come back. However, for the signature drinks I would recommend adding what ingredients are in them on the menu because unless you ask a barrista - you will have no clue what those are lol. read more

The Blind Tiger Cafe is a great spot if you want to grab a coffee and go or stay to get some work done. I've come here to study before and catch up with friends. It's never too loud or crowded. There's some street parking in front and a parking garage close by. But keep in mind the street parking in the back of the lot and the garage are not free. The parking in front is. They will validate your parking though (either price reduced or maybe completely removed?). For a coffee and food, it's a little expensive but it is Soho and at least their beverages and food items are delicious. The employees are warm and inviting! read more

This Blind Tiger Café coffee shop location is awash with tiger orange stripes throughout and chic, industrial décor. The Blind Tiger logo reminds me of an awesome old school tattoo design. Fierce and fabulous! Patrons are asked to wear masks before entering the café and disposable masks are available on a table by the front door. The seating has been arranged to maximize social distancing. There is a small merchandise shop off the main café which is full of shirts, mugs, and all sorts of Blind Tiger merch. The 20-something barista was so friendly and welcoming! His positivity really shined as bright as the orange tiger stripes on the walls. The black coffee is so delish! The coffee has a rich, aromatic flavor and was served at an ideal temperature. There is free parking in the garage behind the building and a breezeway access from the garage to the row of shops. It wasn't too crowded during my mid-morning mid-week visit but imagine that this place would be hopping on the weekends! Definitely recommend and look forward to my next visit. read more
