I finally got the opportunity to check out this coffee shop, after reading all about it for a while. Buddy Buddy is known for their peanut butter drinks, and they had a pretty extensive menu of coffee and non-coffee drinks to choose from. I went with the iced dream buddy, which was delicious. I also got a peanut butter toast, which was huge and definitely shareable. The service was friendly and I didn't have to wait long for my order to be ready. The space itself is pretty industrial and they have lots of seating, both in the front as well as some seating in the back. They also have a very large and clean restroom, which is an added bonus. I will definitely come back here again!
Buddy Buddy is such a fun spot, and the drinks definitely live up to the hype! I ordered their signature Le Buddy, but since I'm not a big peanut butter fan, I swapped it for almond butter. Best decision ever because it was a 10/10! The drink was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. Even with the substitution, it was incredibly flavorful and something I'd order again in a heartbeat.
I discovered this specialty coffee shop because they had a fun event and I am impressed. Beautiful decor, wonderful delicious drinks, relaxing music, friendly staff. Loved it. Very uplifting. Will be back.
Buddy Buddy in Bowery is a new nut butter based coffee shop serving coffees, smoothies and cookies crafted with their fresh nut butters. We saw this first on TikTok and as peanut butter lovers, felt compelled to try it. We had the Le Buddy (peanut butter latte) and the Fruity Buddy (peanut butter and raspberry jam) along with an Athletic Bud smoothie which was essentially the ultimate peanut butter banana smoothie. We want to try some of their other nut butters for our next visit, but a minimum we can confirm Buddy Buddy knows a thing about peanut butter
Visited in the morning and the place was packed! Was able to get a seat in the laptop section in the back, but people were chatting very loudly so would not recommend planning on doing any serious work there. Their signature drink was pretty good since I love peanut butter. Interested in trying others in the future.
The interior is well decorated and very spacious. I got the fruity buddy but I don't think I like peanut butter that much. If you do like peanut butter, you might love this.
went to the mutha plucker pop-up and tried their vanilla hazelnut butter latte with less vanilla syrup and it was great! great place to chat up with a friend or work on your laptop and the staff were friendly
I came here during the soft opening and was so intrigued by the idea of having peanut butter in matcha. There was a decent amount of seats and this vibey spot also sold coffee beans and different butters. I tried the matcha latte with peanut butter and it was so creamy, rich, and delicious. It was on the pricy side, but definitely enjoyed ordering it and trying something new :)

I never thought of this combo and I try to make my coffee at home this way but it never comes out at good. I visit this place everytime I visit NYC and plan to try every drink. Shop was very clean and modern and the employees were nice.
Best peanut butter latte I've ever had. I already want to go back ASAP. This was one of the most unique and delicious lattes I've tried, and I can see why it's their number one best seller. The cafe is very spacious, and even though there are plenty of seats, many were already taken by remote workers and students. The bathroom is single-use but very clean and roomy. I also love the overall theme and vibe of the cafe. Definitely a trendy spot that's worth checking out.
Have a coworker who raves about this place and their nut butter drinks. This was a delicious and refreshing drink to have in the summer with a dash of peanut butter. I thought it was fine, luckily didn't have to wait in line for it. The matcha could have been a bit more matcha-y but it was fine. Specialty matcha drinks like these focus more on the specialty flavor instead of the matcha.
i got the matcha buddy which has peanut butter and it was DELICIOUS!!! as a big fan of peanut butter, this was my jam lol the peanut butter sweetener made the matcha creamier so yummy!! also the ambiance was also giving peanut butter minimalist chic too
With so many coffee shops in NYC, it's hard to really stand out in the crowd but Buddy Buddy has a wonderful industrial interior that helps set the whole vibe of the cafe. They have separate sections for laptops and there are spots for people to enjoy their drinks. The staff was super quick and they focused on keeping the coffee serving area as clean as possible. What makes this coffee shop super unique is that they use their own nut butters in their drinks and the Le Buddy I ordered was nutty and sweet enough! Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for something new! read more

I took a break from work to try the Matcha Buddy! I liked the matcha but I just don't think I love the nut butter in combination with it. I don't think this is a fair judgement bc it just was not to my taste but each individual component was good. 10$ for a matcha is a little ridiculous though! Interior, staff, and vibes were great :) Not a study spot but fun to hang w a matcha buddy ;) read more

Matcha latte: 1/5, service: 5/5 I wanted a matcha latte but the line at 12 Matcha was way too long so I went around he corner to Buddy Buddy instead. Both places have been on my list of places try a matcha at. So I'm allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and didn't realize this place specializes in all things nuts LOL. But I told the cashier of my allergies and he was super nice and helpful and let me know what I could order. You're given a little scanner thing and it will buzz when your drink is ready. It took like 5 minutes for my drink to be ready. The guy who gave me my drink was super nice and even commented on how the matcha matched my green sweater. I got an iced matcha latte with raspberry syrup and no nuts obviously. Presentation: 5/5, taste: 1/5 I'm sorry but this was one of the worst matchas I've ever had. When you mix it up, there is no flavor. It tastes completely watered down (even with all the ice still in it and it didn't melt yet). Maybe getting a drink with nuts in it since they're known for that will be better but I was really disappointed because there was so much potential. read more
Okayyyyy I didn't want to give into the hype but boy was I impressed. From the ambiance, to the laptop area, and the nut butter collection that's for sale. I loved all areas of this coffee shop! I got le buddy with almond milk iced! First sip, couldn't tell the difference from a regular latte. The more I drank it, the peanut butter taste came thorough and it was surprisingly very good. I would love to buy their nut butters to take home as well. They had many flavors from cinnamon bun to pecan pie to cocoa. read more

Pb&j latte was very peanut butter and jelly like. It honestly tasted like I was drinking a liquified uncrustable filling. I thought it was very unique but I couldn't taste any coffee flavor. If it were stronger I think I would have enjoyed more They have a computer zone where you can sit for 90 min and do work. Otherwise there's the normal sitting area read more
I was on a mission for matcha downtown. When I saw Buddy Buddy I wasn't sure this was the spot for a good matcha bc they specialize in peanut butter coffees but apparently their matcha is delicious too! The music inside is vibey, it's full of people chatting. Overall fun and lively. In the back there's a special area for people with laptops. They're away from the main area and don't ruin the cool vibe of the cafe. I loved my drink and would def come back! Btw there are a few other non caffeinated options in case you don't do coffee. read more
This place is nuts!!! It's full of nut-butter-infused drinks and pastry options. The cafe itself has a wide, open layout. Even when all the seats are occupied, it still feels spacious and isn't too loud to chat with your buddies. read more
I had been hearing about this nut butter cafe and decided to try it out. There was a small line outside the building, but it moved quickly and we were inside in about 3 minutes. Inside the shop they have their homemade nut butters lining the walls for sale and coffee beans. There are self-seating tables along the wall and some in the back, but it was very crowded and took a bit to wait for a table to open up. I ordered the PB&J iced latte with oat milk, the cacao butter cheeks and a PB matcha. The PB&J latte was the least favorite item, which surprised me because it seemed to be the most recommended. The jelly was overpowering in the coffee so next time I would get the plan PB latte. The butter cheeks was really good, not too sweet, I would get it again. Overall, this coffee was fun for a treat but not somewhere I'd go frequently. read more

The peanut butter is very prominent & delicious in the latte, would love to try other flavors and the almond butter/hazelnut butter lattes as well! SERVICE - located in NoHo - spacious interior with seating in the front near the ordering counter and in the back - can get crowded quickly especially during busier hours - baristas were friendly and made drinks relatively quickly MENU - nut butter based drinks and baked goods - plant based milk alternatives available - average price FOOD - almond butter chai (5/10): i got this hot because it was cold outside and i wanted something to warm me up. The barista did say that they recommend their drinks to be iced so maybe that influenced my review. The chai was okay though i found it to be watery and lacking spices. I could not find any almond butter flavor throughout the drink until I got to the end and saw a clump of it at the bottom. WOULD I GO BACK? I loved the concept so i would be willing to give it a second chance and order something different before making a final judgment. read more
I am a huge fan of peanut butter and coffee so I had to try the Le Buddy to see if I liked it. The shop in itself has a lot of small tables in the front and a little more seats in the back so it's not too big but definitely a nice place to take a break. The service was really quick and very bubbly which is always nice. Now, the coffee, it really was everything I thought it would be. It was like a very nice peanut butter latte which is not something I've ever seen personally but I think it is something that people should do more often. Will definitely be back to try other nut coffees in the future as well as their pastries! read more
Such a cool place! I loved the vibes of the store. It was pretty crowded when I went, so there was no available seating, but since the place was pretty spacious, there was still room to walk around and wait for my drink. I loved how organized everything was. There was a line right next to the door, marked by a rope, and it moved fairly quickly. The cashier was also very nice. After ordering my drink (Fruity Buddy), she handed me a pager. I only waited for about five minutes, and the drink was delicious. The taste of the peanut butter wasn't too overpowering, and the overall drink was so smooth (I had expected a slightly gritty texture). I would love to come back to try their pastries and purchase a nut butter. read more
Giving a strong review mainly for cafe design and subtly of the drinks! The interior is beautiful and so thoughtfully designed, it's nice to notice all the details (like pb&j inspired stained glass windows). We tried their mocha and classic buddy buddy peanut butter latte. Both were really delicious without the nut butter being too overpowering, and I also appreciated how the drinks weren't too sweet. I also tried their pb&j cheek, which tasted like a rich muffin top. read more
I really enjoyed the Le Buddy iced latte. The peanut butter steamed into the drink was such a fun twist. It was rich and flavorful at first. The only thing I noticed was that as I kept drinking, the peanut butter flavor kind of faded. I do wish there had been a bit more peanut butter so the flavor lasted throughout the entire drink (and yes, it was stirred). There was a pretty long line outside, so definitely be prepared to wait a bit. The space inside is actually pretty big though, which is nice. I'd come back again! read more

Super cute place and nice ambiance. The baristas were all really nice and the place was honestly just a good vibe. Lattes aren't even that bad price-wise for be a specialty coffee in NYC. I tried the almond-butter chai and my friend got the og. both were good and actually it kept me full for a while. That being said it's a nice place but I'm not rushing back. Very glad I tried and their merch is so cute read more

My friend suggested this spot as we are both nut lovers. I got the Matcha Buddy which is a Peanut Butter, Oat Mylk & Full-Bodied Ceremonial Matcha Tea and my friend got the Almond Butter Chai which is Almond Butter, Oat Mylk, Chai Spices & Cinnamon. We both got PB&J Cheek (?) and a Hazelnut Cookie to share. Everything was delicious and we would love to come back to try more! The place is spacious and well lit. We came around 10:15am, and the place was busy. We managed to grab a seat, but after an hour the place got so so packed! This spot is definitely popular for a reason. The staff is nice too. They explained to me some items on menu. Prices are of market average. You can get a drink from $6,50 - $8. Pastries were also within the same price range. read more
Love the concept of nut butter coffee. My husband got the fruit buddy and I got the almond butter chai. I loved the chai (it was perfectly balanced!) but we thought the fruity buddy was not very flavorful - we couldn't really taste the different components and it just tasted kind of muddled. The staff are kind and helpful, they were very patient when explaining the menu. The cafe is super spacious and beautiful. I love that there's art on the walls. There's also a laptop area in the back, but it's pretty hard to find seats during prime time. read more

I'm so sad that I don't live closer to here This place is amazing! What a fun and unique concept, I've actually never tried peanut butter in my coffee before. I had the dream buddy latte with a shot of espresso and it was truly my dream coffee combination. It was sweet but still balanced with the peanut butter, I'm literally dreaming of my next one. I loveeee this place! There was nowhere to sit, but it's a pretty popular place, because they do have a good amount of seating and even a back computer/laptop area. I ordered the Ube nut butter latte and it was super nut butter/peanut butter flavor forward. But I loveeee that cause I peanut butter so I thought it was delicious. I also tried the nutbutter/jelly cheeks muffin and it was super moist and had great flavor. Could have eaten 10 of those things, so I do wish it was bigger. If you love peanut butter you would LOVE this place, and everyone was very nice and patient. Wish I lived it New York so I could come back and try literally everything on the menu. read more

Another cool coffee option to experience if you don't have any nut allergies. This place has a decent amount of tables to come and sit and do online tasks or enjoying some good coffee drinks with friends. I must say though, that everyone that was there had a laptop open. It was kind of interesting, reminding me of late night summer nights when they had Internet cafes, drinking chock full of nuts coffee. IYKYK. I had this place on my radar because I wanted to try one of the many butter options they sell for some future smoothies, I mean spring is here and summer is knocking right around the corner. I love a good almond butter and to find that someone decided to create drinks using peanut butter and all the other butters they had to offer I couldn't resist. I purchased an almond butter latte with peanut butter milk (hot), along with an almond chocolate chip cookie and after getting some sample tasting, I went home with a jar of cinnamon roll butter. It was so creamy with a hint of cinnamon notes, perfect to put into a smoothie. The service was great as well, the guy who made my drink, remade it for me with no problem because it wasn't hot enough for me. The young girl who helped me was also sweet with helping me with my decision on what butter to purchase. You can also buy other items they have available, coffees, tote bags, t-shirts etc. Overall, I was happy with what I purchased but I know I won't be running back here to buy anything else. The butter was pricey and along with yes, that delicious cookie and latte I purchased, it's just too far of a trip to make and nothing left a lasting impression on me to go running back. If you're in the area it's worth a try, but if you live uptown and far away, it's not really worth the trip. I will give a thumb up and has always Happy Yelping! read more
For a single shot, it's a pricey latte (8.50 for the fruity peanut butter one). The taste is fine. 3.5/5. Because there is more milk than there is espresso, it's mostly the taste of milky peanut butter. If you'd usually like your lattes sweet and you're here, I would go for the drink with the raspberry inspired by PB&J. If you'd like to buy their jars of peanut butter, it goes from 18 to 23 dollars. read more
The almond bulletproof coffee is really smooth and delicious, especially if you love almond butter. We also tried the cookies - the PB&J is really popular and has a really creamy peanut butter and prominent jelly flavor. But my personal favorite is the pecan cacao cookie - the pecan butter is so delicious (I wish there was more!) and it was enveloped in a nice fudgy brownie texture with nice chocolate chunks. It's definitely hard to get a seat though and a bit cramped, so may not be the best to hang for a long time. read more
NUT Allergen girlies this one probably isn't for you! Everyone else you need to give this a try! I only tried the Le Buddy with their house made but I AM OBSESSED. I could drink this everyday. I'm not kidding. The service is great too and there's plenty of seating with a laptop zone as well. They have only soft opened so I'm excited for more to come.
