All stars for the ambiance - stepping into the café, you would not believe it is in the middle of NYC. It feels like time has stopped when you step into this peaceful oasis between all the craziness of the city. Also, this is a café with bathroom!!! Unheard of in NYC - I have been to several cafes in NYC and 99% of cafes don't have a bathroom. Especially those hyped on social media ones like Radio Bakery, La Cabra, Supermoon Bakehouse (sorry not to shame you because I love you but still...), Diljān etc. and the list goes on and on. Not sure why so many overpriced cafes in this city do not have a bathroom. Like you are not ashamed of charging $13 for a croissant but cannot have a functional bathroom that a paying customer can use? Now to the drinks: we got the Tiramisu and Ube latte - I had heard such great things about their Tiramisu Latte, and it looks as good as it did in all the photos. So glad I read up on this place before coming, the ube latte is a must. They use an ube purée as the base, then add steamed milk and one or two shots of espresso (same price, your choice) to create a delicious drink. It will definitely have me coming back. Peach cardamom tea loaf was fragrant and cakey in texture. Not very sweet at all which is honestly what I was looking for. Icing they use is a very nice subtle compliment to the spiced and tart flavors. Maple bacon bun was heavenly lmao. Bun was the right texture, doughy and soft and inside they weaved in these crispy maple bacon pieces along with egg and cheese. It's definitely on the heavier side and enough to be your breakfast. Such a good lavender latte! I love how subtlety the lavender flavor was infused with the espresso -- it was more floral and natural than sweet and artificial like most lavender lattes tend to me. The succulent cupcakes are ridiculously cute, but I've yet to try one because they're a little expensive for how small they are. As soon as we entered, the vibe was unmistakably unpretentious down to earth and just super comfortable. The baristas were also extraordinarily kind, humorous and helpful. What sets them apart from others is that they engage with people on a meaningful level, which is rare and so very much appreciated. I ordered my oat milk cappuccino with one pump of caramel and it was utterly delightful. This is a wonderful coffee shop to relax and or study an work at! I got the earl grey lavender latte and it was delicious and rich. The lavender flavor was not overwhelming and was well-balanced with the fresh earl grey tea. The interior of the shop is designed like a backyard and there's even a basement level below the main level where there's a bathroom and several tables you can sit at. There's also some small tables set out front. The overall vibe is cozy and inviting and there's also free wifi. The service from the staff was friendly and attentive and they had my drink made in less than a few minutes after I ordered. I also enjoyed the cute latte art on top. They also have an electric downstairs seating area with sustainability in mind. Vintage tv, wooden seats, dim lights.... It's cozy. There's also a single restroom there. They have free WiFi. I ordered the ube latte as it sounded unique and is a pretty purple color. The latte was good (not overly sweet) and comes in a large cup. The color was more of a faint lavender vs the dark purple you see in other photos online. You can get it with one or two shots of espresso as the machine automatically makes two. Lavender latte with oatmilk was rich, topped with creamy foam instead of a slinky top that oatmilk usually gives out. The lavender was subtle and not overpowering and was well balanced out with the espresso. I asked for half decaf but they do not offer that- they instead suggested 1 shot instead of a double shot of espresso and the drink still came out great. Interior is comfortable and cozy, narrow and limited seating in the main area, and they also have a downstairs area with seating and books with the door right next to the main door. I had some really sweet pumpkin spice lattes before but this one was lightly sweetened. A shot of espresso provided a robust and slightly bitter undertone to balance out the pumpkin purée. ＊ Rose Cardamom Latte I usually steer away from rose lattes as I'm afraid of the artificial aroma of rose syrup, but this rose cardamom latte slapped. It combined espresso and milk with the natural fragrance of rose and cardamom. Some dried rose petals were added as a garnish to make it aesthetically pleasing. ＊ Masala Chai Mini Cupcake ＊ Pumpkin Spice Mini Cupcake Aww their mini succulent cupcakes are almost too cute to eat! These eye candies are obviously designed to be appreciated visually. The flavor of pumpkin spice was weak, but both the flavors and cupcake texture were better than the masala chai one. FYI these spooky cuties are available from noon! ＊ Pumpkin Loaf w/ Spiced Cream Cheese Well...probably the most awful loaf I've ever eaten. The second when we cut the loaf with our forks, we could literally feel the terribly dry and crumbly texture. It was so bad that we told the barista and he refunded us.
