My car was totaled, as I tried to avoid running over a huge lizard. As I looked out my window, with airbags deployed, I saw the lizard, safely across the street, smirking at me! Anyway, we were greeted with a smile by the young man working the front desk. He asked for my name and quickly found my reservation. I said that I would like a compact SUV. And he found one immediately. He explained the pricing and what my insurance would pay. He quickly brought the car to the front parking lot and told me the important details about the vehicle. It was clean both inside and out, with a full tank of gas. He also mentioned that Enterprise has gently used cars for sale at excellent price points. I expressed my interest. Before I returned home, someone from the sales department called me! Needless to say, I was very impressed with the service recieved from the time I walked into Enterprise Rental until I drove out of the parking lot. Before I wrote this review, I wrote to Avis with this information, They sent me a boilerplate apology, but I saw no actual investigation of that evening's events and no assurance that they would improve their performance. I had no idea how charging happened and spent 4 hours of my rental time trying to find and put juice in the car. The last time I sprained my wrist trying to manhandle the charger and get it filled it up then made it home. The next morning of day 2 after a full charge $20 worth the car broke down on me. I called Thrifty and told them them the car was broken down and i was strained in the rain and they said ok take an Uber. I said no, they should pay for my uber home and they finally agreed. I finally made it home from the break down in thee rain and called them and they said they would not charge me for the 2nd day. 2 weeks later I get an invoice from them showing they did not remove the 2nd day charge. Bottom line, is I got a 1/2 day use a of a car I didn't want in the first place and was charged for 2 days rental and loss 20$ worth of power that someone else got to use. Trust the other reviewers here if you don't believe me, they are THE worse and failed me at every single step.

Jasmine offered me a Polestar as a temporary solution until a Tesla became available. While we were inspecting the Polestar, a red Tesla actually arrived. I made it clear that I wanted that Tesla because I have a Tesla charger at home, and she said she would contact me as soon as it was ready. I emailed her my phone number when I got home so there would be no excuse for not reaching me. Instead, I later got an email saying the Tesla had already been given away and that I would be stuck with the Polestar until the following week. That mattered because the Polestar would cost me about $45 every time I needed to fully charge it at a public station. Since I rented through Uber, those extra charging costs on top of the rental made the deal nearly impossible to justify financially. Hertz did absolutely nothing to make this right. Even worse, the local branch does not answer the phone, so everything had to be documented through email. Do not advertise Teslas as available if you cannot provide them, and do not promise customers a swap if you have no intention of following through.

But, you know, these days, blah, blah, blah. But now you use these guys again and a few days before your date, you realize that the time is wrong, so you call the place and wait for ALL the prompts to make sure to talk to someone at the location and when you tell this gentleman the situation, he assures you that the appointment time is fine and he will arrange for the change. Now, imagine you get a text message and are asked to share insurance information with a third party on their behalf. And you comply. Fast forward, you are on the plane, halfway to your destination and you get a voicemail that the rental company cannot accommodate your rental time, of 10:30, can you come in at 12:30 instead? So, you call them and tell them that will be fine. You will be there between 12:30-1:00. Then, you call the company when you have your bags and are on the shuttle. When you get there, they tell you they have canceled your reservation because you're late. Really? The only "accommodation " they can give you is a new reservation at a MUCH higher rate. This company is run by a bunch of poorly trained baboons and I will never use them again!

The morning that I was supposed to go and pick up the truck, they called to say they had no trucks available and just said they were sorry and there was nothing else they could do. How can the truck not be available when it was already reserved ahead of time? If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I will never do business with this company again! So very sad!
