    Early morning reservation with no line and two folks at the desk ready to help. The young lady helping me was polite, she asked me what kind of car I wanted. The manager came over the help because apparently they had limited number of cars. I was offered an equinox and I asked for something smaller. The manager asked if I'd be ok with a forester - no problem. He told me it was either that or a passenger van...yikes, ok. I reserved a car well in advanced but the Manager seemed to have a hard time processing the reservation. By the time he was done I didn't receive the QR code to exit. No problem, he told me to just go to the exit and show the other worker my DL. I get to the car and I should've went back, to be honest. The car was disgusting. It had a bunch of tape/reside on the windshield making it hard to see out of and just look janky. The inside was dirty, sticky steering wheel and sticky underneath the parking toggle. Super gross surprise when I went to park the car. Then I go to leave and there's no one at the exit to let me through. I wait a few minutes hoping no one shows up behind me and luckily an employee ends up showing up. Not a good experience.

    Came here and found a super long line for the car rental. WTH? Waited 45 min in Budget line while the Avis line was mostly open (eventhough they are the same company) and had to wait in another line to receive the car in the garage. Will try to remember not to come back ever again

    Only one employee at the counter with a long line. All the other rental car companies had 2-3 staff with short lines. Took forever to get a car. I had reserved a booster seat for my son, but they did not have one ready and I had to go back and ask for one. After I drove off and got on the freeway. I noticed that the alignment was off pretty bad. Then when I braked at high speeds the car would shake. Most likely warped brake rotors. Then I noticed the service schedule on the windshield and the last date of schedule was over a year ago. 30,000 miles ago. I did not feel safe driving this vehicle, but I was already running late to go back and exchange. I am planning on going to the nearest Budget Car Rental tomorrow to see if I can exchange for a better vehicle. I will never rent from Budget again.

    Business is supposed to be open at 6AM, been waiting for nearly an hour with no representative in sight. Even the automated customer service line canceled and hung up on me. Others that were waiting have left and this has been a complete waste of my time.

    Grifters and thieves. Picked up car with less than 3/4 tank of gas. Returned with more than 3/4 tank of gas. Charged $47.95. Told out-going monitor read tank as full and in-coming monitor read tank as 5/8 full. You KNOW Budget charged the last renter $60 and didn't fill the tank. And you KNOW Budget didn't fill the tank this time either. Regular scam they got going. We were told to go see the agent. Choice: wait in long line to be told the same thing and miss our plane or not wait in line and catch our plane. Hmmmm. AND, there is no way to contact anyone by phone at Budget at MSP. This type of complaint of Budget at MSP is visible online back to 2013.

    Car was fine. Service was good for pickup. But when I dropped the car it was backed up. So I left the window down with the keys in the car. He saw me and he confirmed he'd get it checked in. He did...but shorted the fuel. Didn't notice until I was about to board my flight. Literally just got off the phone to file a complaint. They refunded me, no questions asked. But I was ready in case they wanted to play games. Always take pictures. As you can see from the pictures, it was over full when dropped off. Hopefully management takes the time to read their reviews to deal with this inefficiency.

    My process to getting a rental car was the worst to say the least. I rented an electric style vehicle, and the agent refused to give that to me because I didn't consent to VOLUNTARY $800 insurance cost. They gave me a gas car, at a substantially higher rate without telling me they were changing the rate, and added on additional VOLUNTARY charges. They proceeded to give me a dirty car that had not been clean from prior guest, if ever. The list of things found in the car includes but is not limited to: receipts, clothing tags, rocks, leaves, mud, Listeren strips, pens, a vape, broken glass and a used bandaid. The car had dirt or oil stains on the ceiling, seats and floor boards. You're asking yourself why did you take the car? It took me over 3 hours to get to this car after the agent debacle, the guy in the garage was fighting with a man about an Escalade and we had a wedding to get to. I called Budget as soon as possible to get this all noted so l wasn't charged for it - they offered me a 20% discount which still doesn't make my cost what I originally booked. I accepted it, but it hasn't been given to me. Apparently you have to wait 7-10 business days and call back to get this, maybe. If you value your sanity, money, or will to live go literally anywhere else. Just walk, you'll have a better time.

    Budget fastbreak customers can come straight to the garage and grab their designated envelope which has the car assignment.

    Horrible!! Undermanned! Long lines in the airport. Longer lines and only one slow moving person getting a car. Avoid!!!

I received the receipt just as I got to the gate in the airport. They raised the price to $698. No explanation. I tried to call customer service and you are told to go to their website. When I landed I went to the Thrifty counter at our destination and he said he could not access the records for MSP rentals and there was nothing I could do. I filled out their website form an have heard nothing. I am a Thrifty Blue Chip member and am not able to talk to a human about the problem. You fill in the information on the form and get no response. I don't understand how they can almost double the price of a signed contract without reason. Furthermore, I can't understand why it is impossible to talk to anyone about the problem. If you rent from Thrifty, beware, and never leave the rental without a final receipt.

I made the reservation weeks ago and selected "Manager's Selection" before I knew it would be snowing when I arrived in April. Upon arrival, they insisted on trying to upcharge me $60+ for an AWD vehicle even though their own website and others were suggesting SUV rentals would be less expensive than what I was originally charged. Most rental car companies would insist on upgrading me after selecting "Manager's Selection" when snow was newly on the forecast and AWD vehicles were on hand. The manager proceeded to argue with me by saying that I could book online but I'd have to wait hours for my new reservation to come through their system! She also consistently lied to me saying that the price online was actually more expensive than what I paid. I eventually booked online elsewhere and saved $100 but had to shuttle back to the airport. Will never rent here again.

It was a little tricky finding their ACE desk at the airport in Minneapolis, but once we did, everything was great! Loved the offsite location as the shuttle bus was waiting for us at the airport and after a short trip, we arrived at their super nice base and given a great car! Upon our return back to ACE after our stay in Minneapolis, everyone was so kind and helpful. The bus took us immediately to the departures location at the airport....stress-free! The agent told us after waiting in line for a while that we could just pick a car and go. Sounds like there is a glitch with the app notification. My husband was bummed to see there was a Sixt here as well. We always seem to get better service. Gold member seems to have it better off. We don't have the gold though, presidents. Car rental here is more than at Sixt. Sixt has better car options, BMWs mostly. It's too late since we pre-paid for the average rental. At least the rental deal for a several days was only around $300 or so, although had we known we could have gotten a BMW car for about the same price. Next time. We got a boring Escape, covered in dead bugs and a bit dented too. Oh well, it will have to do.

They won't even pick up the phone to answer questions. From the time I stepped up to the counter, it was all about finding ways to charge me more for every little thing. Then returning the car, they couldn't find the car for 4 days after it was towed due to a windshield incident. The number of inaccurate pending charges on my credit card was ridiculous. Find another car rental company.

The car rental setup is a well-oiled machine at Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) airport. You get your baggage and then go down a floor to catch the tram to get to the car rental area. It's a single stop. The tram runs often and quickly. You then take the elevator up to all the car rental companies. I'm an Emerald member, so I go out and pick a car. I then check out at the exit. The man at the checkout was nice. I handed him my driver's license, he looked up my reservation, asked if I needed anything else, gave back my driver's license, and I was good to go. I drove a Nissan Altima. Coincidentally it was the model that I had when I lived in Rochester, but not as fancy as this one. It had leather seats, blind spot detection, the hold button that lets your foot rest instead of switching to the Park gear, and more. It was a great drive. I had a great experience dropping off my car. The man was cheerful and made sure I knew where to go to catch the tram. (397)
