Delivery of dumpster was scheduled for a Saturday, and then was never delivered. had to reach out the following Monday, because the company never reached out to us. Told no one works in the call center over the weekend, which was a lie, and that the delivery truck broke down so no deliveries were made. We then decided to have the delivery for a Thursday. Confirmed Thursday with the company over the phone, they then changed the delivery date via email without proper notice. Was charged a second time after we confirmed our delivery. Call center lies saying a supervisor works on the weekends, when none are. Would not recommend this company. Extremely disappointed. When we mentioned the second charge, call center could not help and said a "supervisor" would contact us on the following Monday. They're not a "real dumpster rental" service. They are a 3rd party middleman company that pays a different truck company to drop off a dumpster at your house. You should make sure you order from a company that has their own fleet of trucks and dumpsters. BDR claim you don't have to be home when they drop off the dumpster. BE HOME. The driver dropping it off doesn't care where they put it or if you can even use the dumpster. Here's what happened to me: The company they contracted to drop off the dumpster parked it too close to my garage door. I was unable to use the dumpster because of it. If I was going to only dump small things, that would've worked -- but you don't order a dumpster for that. As I swung open the door to the dumpster, it stopped at my closed garage door. If I open the garage door, the dumpster door stops inside the garage, hitting against the wall. If all of the work I was doing was INSIDE MY GARAGE, THAT WOULD WORK. I called them right away. When I told them about what happened, they recommended I opened the garage door and haul everything through the house, through the garage, and into my dumpster. Right, like i'm going to just use my house as a hallway to get to my dumpster. The work I needed to get done was in the backyard; not that it should matter, because I'm paying for a USEABLE DUMPSTER. They wanted to charge me close to $300+ in fees because the dumpster was placed in an unusable spot, and I had the nerve to ask them to please scoot it a few inches forward. Literally all that I needed was the dumpster to be adjusted by 6 inches, maybe a foot forward, and that would've fixed everything. Nope. The operator on the phone stated that they would have to schedule another truck to come by and that it was going to cost me $$$ for their time. Never mind the fact that it was MY time and MY hard earned personal time off of work that was the major factor here. THEN, they sent out a member of their staff to take photos to DISCREDIT me, but my security camera caught the entire thing. The person in the car drove by, took photos FROM THEIR CAR, and then sped off. They didn't even bother to get out to measure, see what the issue was, etc. I was really upset that they were unwilling to work with me, so I asked them to please come and collect their dumpster from my property so that I can order a dumpster from someplace else. They scheduled a pickup which didn't show up for 48 hours... I took very-difficult-to-come-by time off of work to clean my property, and thanks to this company's greed, and unwillingness to accept fault, I was short $1500 and 3 days out of my personal time off. As a customer, I was under the impression that you should get what you pay for. Since I wasn't able to use it, I wanted to completely cancel it. They said I will still be charged THE FULL AMOUNT, so I told them that I wanted to dispute it in court. ALL OF THE SUDDEN, They send me a packet of terms and conditions saying they are not responsible if the dumpster is delivered in unusable conditions. Kind of strange that they want to shove that in my face after they took my money. If I knew there was no quality of assurance from them, or that they don't follow a simple guideline like 1) Make sure the dumpster is where the customer wants it 2) Verify the customer can use the dumpster 3) Make sure the customer is happy and they're ready to use the dumpster But I guess this company doesn't work in that fashion. These guys just straight finesse you all the way through the whole process! Customer service from the sales people is actually not bad at all, but when something goes wrong it's a horror show. We rented a dumpster for arrival on a Monday March 15th with pick up on March 20th. We had it placed in street which we were not told when we ordered the dumpster that if it was on the street they would have to pick it up before trash day on Friday, which also does not say anything about that from the company who drops it off as well. I was talking with him and trying to explain if you charge me for the 3 days I used the dumpster that would be fair. He started getting an attitude and said no I can only do this, I asked for some he reports so I can talk to them about this issue and he claims he is the GM again and reports to no one. After multiple times trying to get him to get us a bigger refund exception he said no, got an attitude and ended up actually hanging up on us because we said we would more than likely dispute this with our credit card company because they did not comply with their agreement on our contract that said pick up date MARCH 20th. Well guess what, he's wrong and does report to someone because we called back multiple times and we're able to actually reach another manager who then also claimed this is the highest position for consumers BUT HE SAID THEY DO TEPORT TO SOMEONE! WOW WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT MR MICK FOLEY. Even multiple sales guys laughed when we asked to be transferred to the manager who's name was mick Foley. They actually transferred us to someone who acts like a manager. . The driver could not make the turn into my driveway, which I had discussed with the rep I booked with, she said "no problem". I am now being charged a $150 for an unsuccessful container drop off. I spoke with two customer service reps and a supervisor, they refuse to credit the $150 because its not their fault my driveway has a curve in it and by attempting to drop a container that was twice what I ordered they were giving me a free upgrade. If I could give zero stars I would. I paid for an 18 ft long 4 ft high, and 8 ft wide dumpster. I paid $500. I was told by the employee who I initially interacted with at BudgetDumpster, "Your dumpster size will be 18ft long" If you look at the BudgetDumpster website, it lists the second dumpster down dimensions as, 4.5 ft high, 7.5 ft wide and 16 ft long. I was told by the employee at BudgetDumpster that the actual size of the dumpster will be18 ft long, 4 ft high, and 8 ft wide. This is simply not true. I measured the length and it was 12 ft long, 3 ft high 8 ft wide. "Ok, I guess they dropped off the wrong dumpster size". I called Budget Dumpster again and explained the situation. The BudgetDumpster Employee initially told me that it doesn't matter if its 6 ft short on length, "the volume is still the same". Im not a mathematician, but if you're short 6 ft on the length and a foot on the height and you are 6 inches over on width, Im pretty sure the volume is not the same. The most frustrating part of this whole situation though was the terrible customer service. I am talking specifically about Zach, a supervisor. When I finally got through to him after an hour on the phone he told me he would need to call dispatch and VERIFY that the dumpster that got delivered was in fact the dimensions I was claiming it to be. So not only did they deliver the wrong dumpster, but when I called the supervisor and explained the situation, "Hi, I paid for an 18 ft long dumpster. This is only 12 ft long, can you send the correct size, the one I paid for." He basically called me a liar.I told him, "You don't need to call dispatch to verify, give me your email address and I will send video and pictures of the dumpster size" He told me, "I will text you a number please reply to it with pictures of the dumpster and I will get back to you later today." This was on Tuesday, July 15th. The only reason this company is getting one star is because of Olivia one of the supervisors but even one star is being generous for this company. My husband spoke to a man named Keith on the phone and ordered a dumpster two weeks in advance. He said the rental would arrive between the hours of 10 am to 2 pm on a Tuesday and they would pick'up on Friday. I waited until almost 1:40 before calling to see where it was. I spoke to Keith who said he didn't have access to the schedule. Put me on hold. I was on hold for almost 25 minutes before I got disconnected. Now after the 2 pm time I had to leave for a doctor's appointment. I come back not even a half an hour later and they delivered the dumpster, but blocked my ENTIRE driveway. I call and speak to Keith, and again he tells me that he can't help me but sends me to another department. I spent ANOTHER 25 minutes on hold before I get helped. Olivia was tbe supervisor helping me. She said it was unfortunate that they dropped the dumpster where they did but it would be an additonal $150 for them to come out and move it. Really? I told her listen, your delivery was not on time, and it is blocking my driveway. I can't get to my house. She comes back on the line to tell me that they are going to waive the fee and send the driver back out because it did state in her system that we asked them to put it at the back of the driveway. While I have her on the phone I ask her about the pick up time since they were not clear about the pick up time with my husband.. she says that they can't guarantee an exact pick up time (okay fine) but she says it will be between the hours of 10 and 6. I thank her and get off the phone The driver comes about an hour later and moves it down to the correct spot. No problem there. No fast forward to Friday. My doorbell rings at 7 am!!!! It's a complete mess how this business is set up. Delays frequently occur since the supervisors aren't in communication with the drivers. They have yet to pick up the dumpster I ordered from my commercial building, and I'm still waiting. When I first placed my order, I mentioned to customer service that I needed the dumpster removed as soon as possible because the ongoing pick-up delays were making the renovation of my building take longer overall, which made buyers wait longer. We had to get a dumpster for a huge garage clean out project. The whole process of reserving and receiving the unit was painless and efficient. Very reliable communication and service. We unfortunately booked it during one of the highly infrequent days it was going to pour in LA. Be warned... they will charge by weight, so we ended up spending another $75 for a plastic tarp covering large enough to block the rain. The pick up was also quick and on time. There was slight damage from one wheel in our driveway. But then, 4 wks after they picked it up, I just got a notice that we were charged $90 extra because our weight exceeded the limit. Why didn't they let us know earlier? I'm not sure if it was the material weight or extra rain that got in, but not being able to estimate the weight was a big downside for me, If you do this a lot there are probably some tips to keep it under the limit, but it ended up costing us an additional $165. read more

On February 25 at around 5:30 PM, I called Budget Dumpster and inquired about an estimated time of arrival of my dumpster, seeing it was close to 6PM. The representative related she would have to get a hold of her dispatch and she would call me back. At 5:55 PM, I called again. The same representative related the dispatcher did not contact her back yet and it's possible the truck was delayed. I think a little notice would have been nice. Hi.. Seems faster than any customer service, the damage control team for social media has replied! Wow, if only they put that effort into their customers not cleaning up their messes. I got $30 for a container to be delayed 24 hours and I got $35 because the container that was delivered was in terrible shape and had concrete stuck to the bottom of it which I would have had to pay an overage for the weight so they gave me a credit of $35 to help cover the cost of the concrete I inherited from a previous customer. But more than anything, let's use pictures. The first one in grey totally beat up with concrete in it and the "low rider" which is not the same volume 10 yarder as a non "low rider' don't care what their customer service says.. cost $837 for soil with roots. I went for it because they could deliver on time. Sadly, they didn't and had I known I would have gone with any other option that was more reliable and affordable. But instead I get this totally beat up too small dumpster 24 hours late for $837. I got it removed today and replaced it with what I had asked for, a container for dirt.. and now that has come and is $585.. it's the beautiful new red one in the picture and carries much more dirt still considered the "10 yarder" just not the bait and switch of a low rider that of course Budget Rental claimed. AND Red Box felt so bad for the ABSOLUTELY AWFUL MISERABLE EXPERIENCE WITH BUDGET DUMPSTER that they did the dumpster for $495. So.. to review here, I paid $300 more for the totally crappy looking too small dumpster below and paid $300 less for the beautiful dumpster in great condition without a bar across the opening. I carefully explained where dumpster was to be positioned, but becuase of its size, the driver could not get it into position for the demo site. If you have a project in which the dumpster needs to be delivered/picked up on time, this is definitely NOT the company to call. First of all, this company is just a dispatch service: they call a local hauler and act as the intermediary. So that means that there is no way to contact the driver directly, and you pretty much depend on them to coordinate the pick up/drop off. This should not be a problem right?. Well try managing a project when they tell you that the dumpster can be picked up between 1 AND 4 BUSINESS DAYS! And when you ask them to try and narrow the window, they just tell you a random date and time, and never show up. Most likely, they will tell you the driver will come at 6 PM. And when he does not come, good luck trying to complain: since their offices are on the East coast, no one will answer the phone. My suggestion: stay away from this company, especially if you are pressed for time or if you need to put the dumpster on the street. FALSE ADVERTISING. We put in our zip code of 94803 and it pulls up a page and I see the quotes. I think "great!!" then I contact the customer service using the live chat support and ask a simple question about what the fees would be if we went over the weight limit (because who can guess what 2000 lbs looks like)? She asked me what size I would like and then I told her 10 or 15 yd. She quotes me two different prices for 5 less days (original quote on the website shows 10 days, she said 5). I told her that it differs from what I see on the website which she is asking for MORE money for LESS days. She says "What zip code did you put in?" I tell her 94803 and she says "Oh it shows the wrong page, that's for Oakland." I ask if she can honor the price/days on the website and she says no. She says she will tell IT about the issue. While this email does not serve that purpose it does inform you that your business practices will be under investigation. While my $449. 00 you took from me last month does not seem like much to a big corporate company doing business in the United States and grossing millions each year, I believe you fraud many people, and those fees add up really quick. Along with a complaint already filed with the better business bureau I will ask the state of California as well as the other states you do business in to look into your business practices. I will also be reaching out to as many media outlets as I can find contact info for and we shall see how your 2022 year end return for your shareholders looks then. The phone calls, contract, emails and text messages from me to your company are my evidence. The contract I agreed to will serve as the foundation for my suit. The lack of communication after the non delivery of my dumpster on my scheduled date is appalling. Not one of your company representatives has reached out to me or emailed me about refunding me. They have however texted me to remind me about scheduling my pickup (of a dumpster that was never delivered) before I accrue more charges. I have sent several emails. Since not one individual will respond I will be filing in court, and I will also be seeking damages and legal fees. I read my contract really well. I realize that Covid might have changed a few things for your company but this is not a way to treat your customers. I had zero issues, communication was great. First, I postponed, they texted me and emailed confirmation of the new dates. They reminded me of when the pickup should be scheduled and let me know up front of charges an for keeping it over. No hidden fees, the person picking up and dropping off was accurate in placement, did not damage my yard and let any excess water roll off before loading. I would use this again. Not sure where all the negative reviews came from, but they were great for me. read more

The weight overage charge is their scam. The sales people brush over the weight issue during your call and rush to get the doc for your signature. here is a transcript sent by them to me to prove it was covered. As far as the phone call this is what was said, SALESPERSON: "So we do have an available spot for twenty yard opening up on the twenty third five days would give it to you until the twenty seventh. If you'd like it we can do that are contractors discount rate for you since it's a route job that are run you three ninety nine total taxes delivery already included it does cover up to three thousand pounds or shingles, anything in excess of three thousand pounds or just under a nickel per pound right now, four point nine Your response: "Okay" and bam contract is in the e-mail. what wasn't spoken ws me telling them i have 5 layers of shingles and i needed a 20ft dumpster. If i were a professional roofer i could tell them how much pure weight i was looking at, but no these shisty jerks just hit you with the charge after it is picked up. way to take advantage , i and my family and friends will never user your company again. read more

I've used these folks 4 times now. The time before this latest use, I had a problem with a delayed pickup. Since it was only once out of the previous three times, I figured I'd go ahead and use them again. This time, WOW!! Were it not for my previous good experiences, I'd give them one star. Today is one week after I advised them that I was done with the dumpster and to please pick it up the following day (Tuesday), which was to be the end of my rental period. I received a notice back that they would pick it up between Wednesday and Friday but that I'd not be charged for the additional days. I contacted Budget Dumpster Rental again and said PLEASE make sure to pick it up by Wednesday if at all possible because I was selling the property and it was due to close escrow and the buyers didn't want a big dumpster blocking the driveway. I told them that I could not be responsible for them not being able to access the dumpster because I no longer had control of the property and we were out of contract by then. I also had no control over what might be disposed of in the dumpster. They would "try" to get the dumpster removed on Wednesday but Wednesday through Friday was their window. By the time Friday rolled around and the property had closed escrow, I contacted Budget Dumpster Rental again and demanded the dumpster be removed. The person I spoke with couldn't give me a solid answer about the removal so I asked for and even spoke with their "joke" of a manager. He claimed he was the highest person in their organization that I could speak with on the phone. All I could get from him was apologies for the delay but no guarantee that the dumpster would be picked up Friday. He did guarantee that at the very latest, it would be first thing Saturday morning. I was offered a waiver of 1/2 of the fee for any over weight limit as my constellation prize. Since the dumpster wasn't even full and was NO WHERE NEAR the weight limit (based on what we put into it), I declined the "generous" offer and asked that they just get the dumpster removed. This morning (Monday morning) I got a message from my realtor, who heard from the buyers' realtor, who heard from some very irate new owners. The dumpster is STILL on the property! When I called Budget Dumpster Rental this morning, the woman I spoke with was unable to reach anyone in dispatch and so I'm still waiting hear something. My advice, until they fire their manager and get someone in who can manage properly, avoid these folks. They've got some good and helpful people on their team, but everything starts and stops with the management. If the person is incapable of managing, they shouldn't be in the position they're in. read more
