Waited more than half an hour in line with only 3 people in front of me with the help of two agents, great! Then my full size car is out, tried to give me a minivan, I took an economic at last. No grantee when they will have a full size back, ask me to call them, NOT the other way around. I made my reservation 2 weeks ago and taste like shit. That dude failed to sell me a $25/day insurance for the full size, then he even tried again when I decided to take a step back with the economic car. Hell no man, what's your problem?... No smile, feels like I am begging him for a car which I already paid for, and with a downgrade. Worst experience ever, should pick Hertz, Enterprise or whatever else. Rented a moving truck online and when I was picking it up, Christy told me that I needed to purchase a $45 liability insurance in order to rent the truck and that if I didn't purchase it, she wouldn't be able to rent me the truck. Since I have rented numerous trucks before it seemed weird. I asked her to show me on the contract where it stated that purchasing a $45 insurance from them was required. She stated that it was policy and that the truck wouldn't be released without it. I asked to see the written policy and she said she didn't have it, that her manager had it. I asked her to call the manager and she did (pretend to, I believe) call from her cellphone, to the manager cellphone, so the manager picks up within a second of her "calling" and she proceeds to ask the manager for the policy. She continues to "speak" to the manager over the phone for a couple more seconds and she hangs up. She then tells me that the manager is not on the premises and that the manager has the written policy with him/her. Really!? A manager carries a written policy with them at all times, takes it with them when the leave the premises? Mmm. Ok. That must be a pocket full of papers because you got the attendance policy, vacation policy and any other company policy they may have and they carry around with them? That sounds like the truth. I then tell Christy that it's a scam, as she cannot provide the written policy and the CONTRACT that they were making me sign CLEARLY states "optional services" in which they list the insurance she wanted me to purchase. She then tells me that they are using the wrong contract, and that I'm signing the regular car rental contract, since they mostly rent regular cars, not moving trucks, and that was the reason why the contract stated that the purchase of the insurance was an optional service. So basically, what she was saying that, if I took the truck the contract that I'm signing is not valid because it's the wrong one so I can just easily trash the truck, crash it, burn it, so what I want without them being able to hold me accountable because, well, ITS THE WRONG CONTRACT. I believe this girl is a scammer. After calling her out I tell her it's bs because my credit card company AND my car insurance both covers moving trucks. She then calls my insurance and says oh, ok, you don't need to purchase the insurance. I believe this girl is a scammer as they get a nice commission when they sell insurance. In fact, she might have even broken some company policy by attempting to refuse services unless she could have a financial gain. Quid pro quo. So, manager, dig deep into your pockets and try to find a policy against employees trying to scam customers.. just filed a complaint win the BBB. read more

If I can give it ZERO stars I would. Been here twice. Once to return a rental truck and another to rent one. They are super rude and give attitude. No signs say where to drop it off. So I parked and went inside, they gave me Attitude and assumed I knew where it was at. Then they said I was suppose to get a ticket from the employee who took the truck and I wasn't given one, then they started talking to me like a was stupid. I thought maybe picking up a truck would be easier but nope! Super rude and gave attitude again. I didn't want the $50 insurance added to the truck since I never had to get it at a different location. Told me that I couldn't get the truck if I didn't get it and I would have to pay a cancellation fee if I didn't want it. And i only needed a truck to pick up some couch and a max of 4 hours. Also they don't wear name tags and won't give you their names. Got my rental papers was told to go outside in the back and they will have my truck. No employee outside, then one comes along and I ask where my truck is and he says he doesn't do trucks. Then another employee came and I gave him my papers and he was confused since the truck he had was the wrong one. They never got my truck ready even though I reserved it for 10am and it's been over an hour. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I had to exchange 2 cars for the engine light on /TPMS problems.The cars have not been serviced at all. The customer service is pathetic. First let me start off by saying I walked in prepared to get my car and overheard an employee saying she needed to go on break before she threw her computer.. then I saw an employee who appeared to be pregnant walking around with her belly showing over her pants!!! Moving is already stressful and its even worst when you booked a truck on your moving day and they booked the truck on the day you made the reservation and not your moving day. So we get to Budget, gave the employee our confirmation code, couldn't find us in the system, we told him the day we called... Tada!!! It's there. Okay, no problem, they had a truck available. So we hand him are banking card; "Sorry Sir, we cannot take this card because it's prepaid". It's an American Express that we use everywhere!!! My issue is we left our card information when we made the reservation and no one mention this before. Plus, my boyfriend went up to Budget after he called to make sure everything went smoothly and they said everything was taken care of. So now we are stuck without a truck and searching for one the last minutes, due to Budget misinformation and lack of customer service. U-Haul here we come. read more

When you turn a car or or pick one up you will wait for 10-15 minutes while you watch the lot crew standing around smoking or talking. Beware Budget's outrageously hard up-sell! To quote another yelper: "The line for every other rental company was 0-2 people deep. Budget, on the other hand, had 12 people in line. I was in line for -- not exaggerating -- 30 minutes to get my car! I even registered online a week ago." All this applies to us, except we waited 45 minutes in line, and the reason for the long wait, we discovered, is that every person in line was being subjected to a battering up-sell, including threats that I don't believe are even legal, such as: if you return the rental car with so much as a windshield pockmark, they'll charge you for the days it takes them to repair, as "lost use" days. I assume this is because the insurance pressure doesn't work with most people anymore so they've been reduced to heavier-handed tactics. People walking away from the window were muttering things like, "highway robbery," but by that point we'd waited so long in the line that we were sitting ducks for the pressure treatment. We booked online for $237 for six days; it ended up being $348. When the Budget employee offered to reduce our cost by 10% because we're Costco members and rang up the charges again so we could sign for them, the figure was exactly the same as before. I said, "It's still $348. Nothing changed." Whoops. One trick discovered. We eventually gave in to the pressure to "upgrade" to a bigger car for $15 extra per day. Gas is $9.29 per gallon if you say you want to fill the tank yourself but don't have a receipt from a gas station within five miles of the rental car agency. And of course, there are a zillion other charges: 10% concession recovery fee, customer facility charge $3.75/day, vehicle license recoup $1.59/day. I 100% agree with everyone else who mentions: WORST PLACE EVER; they use scare tactics, and will use every trick in the book to get you to pay more. NEVER, EVER AGAIN! We have always been pleased with Enterprise, and deeply regret not using them on this trip. read more

Scammed by the agent! I declined all optional coverages and only wanted to pay what I pre-paid for, yet when I returned the car they charged me $175 for coverage I refused in the first place! I sold insurance for 20yrs I know what coverages I need and what I don't. Total scam! they said I should have read what I signed before I left the counter and since I supposably signed the agreement they couldn't do anything. Humm wait in a long line, listen to their sales pitch, I trusted they would be ethical. Hey maybe charge me upfront before I pick up my car?! They distracted me with an "upgraded" car. Where to begin? When I first rented my car, the guy behind the desk was awesome! He was very friendly and even adjusted a price so that the price he was putting on my credit card would be under my maximum daily charge. Andy, a gentleman in the office who helped me with all the extensions that I needed on my contract was extremely helpful as well. That's where the good ended. I needed the rental because I just relocated to the area and could not get a car loan until I got a job. I had no idea how long I would need it so I rented a week at a time. The first time I tried to extend my contract, I called the 800 number on the paperwork and was put on hold for over an hour waiting for a customer service rep. I had to hang up to go to work. I called the next day and was on hold for a half hour. The following day I received a call from, Andy, who helped me extend my contract and gave me his direct line for future extensions. Of course they charged me for the 3 days at $35/day. I extended again with Andy and no problems. The 3rd time, I called and left Andy a message and asked him to call me if there were any questions or problems with my extension. I received no phone call. In fact I didn't hear from anybody for over a week. I got a call but didn't get the message until late in the evening. A day later i got in a car accident at 2:30 am. A friend picked me up and then took me back to the car in the morning to get all my belongings out of it because I had no idea what was to happen to the car. Soon after I got a call from a repo guy telling me that my car was 10 days late. I told him there wasn't any way but I was planning on coming into the location anyway (so that I could report the accident). I called my insurance company to file a claim because I had waived the insurance and wanted to find out what I needed to do with the car before I got ripped off with tow charges and what not from Budget. I got to Budget at 12:30 and waited in line for over an hour. Got to the front of the line and was told that not only was the car 10 days late, which it should have only been 3 because of the holiday, but also that they were called by a security company where the car was parked and since I didn't call them first to report the accident that they considered the car abandoned. I had just been at the car 2 hours before, how did I abandon it? I told the woman that was why I was at the location, to report it. Then the woman, who obviously had no customer service training, told me that the insurance was voided since I did not have the car back on time. Remember I waived the insurance. I come to find out that the entire 24 days that I had the car, they had been charging me for insurance that I didn't even need or want. As the conversation went on, the woman told me that she doubted that I called Andy to extend my contract and he was on Medical leave so they couldn't verify with him that I did, but also that because she was not present when the representative went over the original paperwork, she had no proof that I waived the insurance so there was nothing she could do. Budget cleaned out my bank account during all of this, charging over $600 more than they should have and I have to wait 2 more days to even speak with a manager to start getting this straightened out. First of all we get there and the car that I had reserved was not available so they gave me a smaller car at the same price. The we get in the car and it smells like a cigarette and the wheels are making funny noises. When returning the car the guy checking us in tried to blame it on us, saying we should of had a form that had this damage on it, no one came out with us to overlook the car, thank goodness for the woman at the counter at the Gold Nugget she took care of the problem. I called corporate and they gave me a $25 voucher, and told me that the Las Vegas airport office is not a corporate office. All and all terrible experience and would not recommend it. read more

I arrived at 2:50 PM to pick up my truck and he told me it was after 3pm which it was not. I had to wait for the manager Raul which he did accept the cash but after they told me to come before 2:30pm even though their sign shows 3pm. I asked if they could do anything on the bill due to the poor customer service and I was told no they could not but they value the feedback. After being stranded for almost six (6) hours because of their screw up only to find out, and get this, the company called the tow truck company to have that car towed away. Renting a moving truck was easy and our representative was awesome, but upon trying to return the truck at 8am was nothing but hassle. The employees did not take the time to find out what I needed or explain my return. I was told to pull my van around back and wait for someone to check me in, there wasn't an employee waiting and when asked the process the people walking around just passed the buck and said it wasn't their responsibility. After 30 minutes of trying to return my moving van, I'm standing in a line of other upset customers. 4 employees on computers and only one can rent/return trucks. ZERO stars.This location is a real joke. I had a reservation (which was made days prior) to pick up my rental at 3:15 on a Friday. I walk in the door at 3:10. Nobody in line. Great! This should be quick. paperwork took all of 5 minutes. Declined the insurance. Done. I was then told an attendant would bring our car around.......just as soon as he washed and detailed it. Seriously? You knew we were coming for the Toyota Camry yet it is not ready? Nice. Almost every employee in this joint is was screwing around or playing grab ass with someone at some point. I would know because I sat and waited for my car to be washed for over 30 minutes. Even the people in the back offices were being unprofessional. Half the staff looks like a bunch of fresh out of prison rejects. Every time one of them would walk out they would just stare at my wife and I. Finally went through the motions and got my car. Some detail job, the windows still had smashed bugs on them and the car was not clean. Imagine that. I was told to fill up the tank and bring a gas receipt on drop off. No problem. Had the car 2 days and then dropped it back off on Sunday. I drove the car a whole 38 miles. Filled up the tank less than a quarter of a mile away,and got a receipt for $10.00. Even though $5 was returned to my credit card because the car would barely take 5 bucks in gas. I hardly drove it, as having my car serviced was the only reason for the rental. I go inside on Sunday at 3:15 exactly to return my car. I get the guy with the prison tattoos and no personality. He goes out to inspect the car. Comes back in a few minutes later . looking as though he is struggling to write something on my inspection receipt, and takes 20 seconds doing it, I get the slip and it reads FULL GAS, under the remarks area. I wonder if he had to sound it out as he was writing it? So as I had a retail me not promo I ended up paying $79.xx for the weekend after discount of $15. He hands me a receipt and says nothing. I ask am I good to go? he says yes. I check my credit card statement 2 days later...there is a second charge from Budget after the $79 (which was charged on FRI. The second one was for $16.53 and it was charged on Sunday after I dropped of. Upon closer examination, the second receipt I was give had a blank area where it says fuel. Or how much was in the vehicle upon drop off. BLANK. the inspection sheet says full, actual receipt, BLANK. How shady can you be? They were conveniently canceling out my discount I had received. I called and spoke to a csr from budget because it didnt say anywhere what I was being charged for. After being on hold forever i was told I was being charged for gas. over $9 a gallon. Yes $16.53 isnt that much but I know for a damn fact that the gas tank in this toyota camry was almost overflowing it was so full. 15 minutes on the phone with the csr and he assured me he had removed the charge. Well guess what. he didn't. 2 weeks later I still have the charge. another call to Budget and more time on hold. The woman who I get on the phone finally, makes it seem like my issue is just a hassle for her. Talk about shitty service all the way around. Now I have to wait another 48 hours and see if I actually do get a credit back to my card. My last couple of rentals have been through Budget. NEVER AGAIN. Scheming and scamming people. Ripping them off for extra money hoping we dont catch it on our statements. What a bunch of bull shit. what a hassle. Steer clear of Budget car rental. Especially the jokers over at this location. I reserved a 10' truck for a local move. Upon pickup, thank goodness I was right before the guy who didn't get a truck because they ran out of trucks. However, they didn't have the 10' truck so they gave me a 16' truck. I was scared to drive a bigger truck but was thankful that they were getting me a truck regardless. The rental guy seemed a little lost as he kept asking other people questions. When it came down to coverage options, the guy completely closed up and let another rental agent do all the talking. The thing is, I used to work for a car rental company and I know how to scam people into coverage and he used the typical "Your insurance doesn't cover this, yada yada". I mentioned I didn't need it and he kept going and I told him I used to work for car rentals and I know that I don't need it, when of course he stopped talking about the coverage. My reservation had an estimate of $39 but the estimate he provided was for $73 based on the objective that I would drive 80 miles when in actuality I only drove 19. He said my card would be authorized for the amount of $73. I picked up on a Friday and dropped off later in the evening. Talk about a shady drop off policy. Parking on the side street and turning in the keys but still being responsible for the truck until it is checked in? Wow. I called Saturday afternoon to make sure the truck got checked in ok and to see what the final amount was. I was told I would have to wait until Monday to talk to a customer service person even though they are open 7 days a week. I was a little shocked by that but brushed it off. Monday comes around and I waited until the afternoon to call. I checked my bank account and to my suprise there was a pending $250 charge and a $50 service fee charge from Budget. That's a big difference from someting that is supposed to be $32.01 when all things are said and done. I went down to the location and the girl was kind of brushing me off like it was nothing. She then said I should have been told about the $250 deposit. I asked if that was on the website and she said it was supposed to be $150 but here in Vegas it's $250 though its not in a written policy. Apparently I missed the fine print of the deposit amount for local truck rentals of $150 or 1.5 times the rental (whichever is greater), which is my fault. But when the rental agent who is supposed to know what he is doing blatantly tells me the hold is for the estimated $73.56, that is what I expected. When I asked about the service fee of $50 she kept beating around the bush then called customer service at corporate and they reversed the charge. Apparently this was a no show fee because they did it as a local pickup and didn't use the reservation. So...my total for my rental went from $32.01 to a pending charges of $300 on their error. What a horrible experience. I usually go with UHaul and I wish I did it this time as well. read more

Worst car rental experience. Rented on line did not pay attention that it was not McCarran but this location. Had to Uber no big deal and arrived just before closing. No one there, I'm excited but none of employees are and seems like I'm bothering them to be there. Especially since 1st lady asks me to wait and another walks to her computer so I thought she'd be able to help so I can get on my way to a funeral on LA. She said "I have to bring up my computer". No worries, another guy pulls up car. I go to leave and after driving around their parking lot I realized I'm blocked in because all the trucks are blocking the exits to TROPICANA and the other side street. Now I'm irritated as this is ridiculous and I drive up the ramp in front to ask if someone can open the exits because I can't leave. A heavy set lady who I could tell was upset with me told me I wasn't allowed to pull up onto the upper ramp, ok well I need to go and I'm locked in. Like locked inside the car rental and she told me to go to the other side. I drive over there again and guess what, no way out because a huge truck is blocking the exit. I return back and now I'm pissed. I back up and I'm screaming I need a truck moved so I can leave. Now the heavy lady is smoking her cigarette saying she can't here me. Whatever a guy moves a truck and I leave. Immediately I notice there is less than 3/4ths of a tank of gas. Figures. When I return today I hear someone say "she's here." Should have come back with my male backup because I needed one. Some tall thin guy named Mike starts in on me and he even walks up on me like he wants to hit me and believe me he does. Nobody does much except one lady tells him and makes him go to the back. That's the kind of unprofessionalism I can't believe. This guy is lucky I'm not licensed to carry and he makes me want to be. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful. The truck was clean and easy to operate. The entire process was extremely efficient. When arrived saw the car out front went in and started the process then they told me they couldn't rent me the car because it was sold. The rental car assigned to me at Las Vegas Airport had only 3/4 tank of gas. Reported this at the booth as we left. The agent said go to the right, etc, to fill with gas there, but all the traffic was going to the left, so could not do. After I returned the car with a total of 82 miles driven and a gas receipt for $17.58, I tried to call the company. Even with the budget car number and rental agreement number and paperwork to prove the facts, I was told Budget does not do refunds. They would not issue a credit to me and charge the previous guest. This should have been an easy fix. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE that they chose not to accommodate my request. read more

Upon renturning they were going to make us wait an hour on our last day in vegas for a shuttle back to resort, so he told us to take to airport dropoff because it close within walking distance from our hotel. REALLY they picked us up when we first rented now we gotta walk?!?? So we get there and budget at airport drop wanted to charge us for being late even though their manager at tropicana loc told us to go there, after much arguing they waived fee but then wanted to charge me again for same said rental, I TOLD THEM i PAID THE DAY BEFORE and they just looked like a deer in headlights. When I got home to chk acct they lied to me and DID charge me twice which bounced my acct AGAIN and mor3e overdraft fees. The reps at both locations were very rude and unhelpful through all this, acted like I should just take it and shut up. Upon showing them the contract and the two holds on my acct they still did nothing, said it would drop off acct in 5 bus days, how does that help me when you all bounced my acct and the bank wont do anything until you guys lift incorrect charges? . WELL since then, back home here, monday I had to take off work to get to bank early Ive had to straighten mess out and explain charges. Now today 3 days after dropping car off budget only lifted one charge but the mistake one is still there that orignally made me go negative AND the actual charge for the rental that day finally hit my acct... so bank hit me with fee again. How dare Budget add more charges before even lifting charges they made by mistake. I WILL be calling budget again to complain today. This whole experience along with other rude people in Las Vegas has absolutely ruined our honeymoon and we will NEVER rent budget again ANYWHERE. Or ever go to Vegas again. Sorry late on posting. Rented on 12-30-15 and returned on 1-5-16. Have been searching for the Desk Clerk name but lot it. Very impressed with his service and didn't take long to do the paperwork. Was able to arrange a drop at the airport. Car was clean. read more

this is the worst business in las vegas. if you are smart, you will go elsewhere. if you think you made a reservation for a truck, then think again. we reserved a truck, and when we arrived, they told us that they did not have a truck for me or for many additional customers. the amazing thing: there were more than a dozen suitable trucks in the parking lot, but they had, off the cuff, designated those for purely local rentals. again, don't even think about giving your business here. they are the worst. read more
