On 7/8 a charge for 333.12 and a pending charge of 125 showed up on my account. Called 7/9 and spoke to Michael at Richfield hertz location who advised another location picked up the car on 7/8 and charged from 7/4-7/8 in error. He also said that I would get a credit of 55 showing a return on the 4th. Asked him if the $55 was coming off the actual charge or the pending charge and I wanted to confirm the total amount I should have been charged as should only be 20% for 10 days so about 84.48. He said he doesn't have the info on what I'll fully be charged only what I'll be credited and advised I had to call the hertz billing number. He was extremely rude during our transaction.

Car was in good condition with lower miles. Pick up of the car was seamless and fast with easy exit from the garage. Unfortunately, I had a major problem after returning the vehicle. On July 28, I received an invoice from Sixt for $614.25 for damage to the front passenger-side aluminum rim, described as a scratch. I am absolutely certain this damage did not occur while I had the vehicle. Unfortunately, I did not think to take pictures of all four wheels when I picked up the car. When I contacted Sixt to dispute the charge, I was told that Sixt was not required to provide proof that the wheel was in perfect condition when I received the vehicle and that documenting the condition of the car was my responsibility. As a result, they refused to remove the charge. This is extremely frustrating. I have rented cars from many companies over the years, but I have never experienced a situation where I was charged hundreds of dollars for damage that I am confident was already present--and then told that the burden was entirely on me to prove otherwise. My strong recommendation: use extreme caution if renting from Sixt. If you do rent from them, I strongly recommend taking a video of the entire vehicle before leaving the lot, along with individual photos of all four wheels/rims and every part of the exterior and interior. Do not assume that any existing damage will be properly documented by Sixt. The initial rental experience was fine, but the way this damage claim was handled has completely changed my opinion of the company. I will not be using Sixt again.

However, on the return, I wish the signs to indicate which lane to turn into for the return would start sooner. I almost missed the turn off for the return once I got into the return garage. Also, I wish they would put side trash cans in the return lanes like they do in TPA. I would absolutely rent from this location again if I came back to MN.

There was a substantial line of customers waiting, yet only one person appeared to be handling check-ins. For a major airport rental location, especially during a busy travel period, this level of staffing is unacceptable and feels very unprofessional. Travelers arriving after delayed flights are already exhausted and trying to get to their destinations; having to stand in another lengthy line because the counter is inadequately staffed only makes the situation worse. Enterprise should anticipate passenger volume and staff the counter appropriately. A reservation should make the rental process easier--not become another major delay after a difficult travel day. Very disappointing experience.

Enterprise showed up late to the drop off location and with another car that was much smaller than I am able to drive due to my height and back issues. Jimmy acted like because they were busy that permitted him to rent out the vehicle I specifically called and requested. No option was provided for me to make payment to solidify my exact reservation. The branch manager Jake then chimes in on the conversation stating that no specific car make or model could be guaranteed which is completely understandable, but this was never disclosed to me to any capacity by Jimmy beforehand. Enterprise dropped the ball big time and had to call around to other locations to find me a comparable vehicle which took an additional hour plus out of my schedule/travel time of my day. I would think twice and reconsider before renting from this specific location. I am loyal to Enterprise for my rental needs, but not loyal to inconsistencies with business practices in what is conveyed to customers versus what actually is company policy.
