Then their dude did a one half ass hour look into it , told me it was done. I picked up my car after being 2 weeks at the shop, one hour to look at it , nothin wrong with it. Come n get it. Som bichin tire cracked off the arm ON THE WAY HOME!!! almost crashed. People pulled over to check on me. It was Trump/ Bidens 3rd debate that night. cold as f. dark . I waited 3 hours for a tow. Progressive told me to tow it to Marhoffer Collision. They replaced arm, tie rod, gimpy cracked part of the inner wheel. Replaced the entire wheel, tire, damaged lines. And Progressive paid for a loaner . 4 days later my car was done well, and right. Now Mike gave me honest advice. He said my car was rotting out and i should get my car to not pass the emissions testing, so i would only have to pay $.300.00 to fix my problem. Otherwise id have to pay a huge amount ....and i appreciated that. Until my tire cracked off in heavy traffic at 430pm on Darrow Rd.

He is the most honest mechanic we have ever had and we miss not being able to go to him. We found Kent Auto Service when my clutch was acting up about 18 years ago. I called around and everyone said it would be $400. When I called Kent Auto Service he said it would be about $400 but maybe it could be adjusted and delay the replacement. Sure enough for about $60 I got more than a year before I had to come up with the $400. As a student at the time this was fantastic. For about 15 years after that we took our cars to to Kent Auto Service and Ben was always fair and honest. His parts may be higher than national chains but you get a great savings because he does not do needless work. If he sees an issue with your car and he feels it should be under warrantee he will tell you to take it to the dealer. If it is a minor issue with he car but would be a major cost to fix it he will explain ways to delay the cost. This is not the place to go if you have a complicated computer problem, but for normal mechanical issues we just think this is the best service shop.

First, their facility is spotless and well organized. Mark Dillon and his staff were very professional and friendly. I got my car's AC fixed within an hour and they told me everything they were doing and going to do. I was so impressed, I asked if I could bring My Pick-up over and see what they could do. It had a similar situation with The AC system. They said to bring it right over. So i took my car home and brought my truck up. Within 30 minutes the found a bad relay, and recharged the system. The only slight delay was waiting for the part to come from the parts store. So within 3 hours I had both vehicles AC systems checked and repaired; and didn't "lose my shirt" in the process. I've taken my truck here twice for tires. The first time, I had a puncture in my tire (unfixable) and they got me in immediately at 8am, changed it real quick, and I made it to work on time at 9am - they even asked the mechanic to work especially quick, knowing that I had to rush to work. The second time, I had the other three replaced. Their prices were cheaper than Goodyear, Firestone, and Walmart. Also, they accept Goodyear Credit Card, which is convenient for surprise repairs/maintenance. One time, my gf needed some wiring or something repaired (had something to do with her brakes. I wasn't there, so I dont know the exact problem). Flynn fixed it for $200 cheaper than what she was quoted at other places in Kent Ohio. Also, they allowed me to pay for it on my card over the phone, which was convenient. One of the other reviewers recommended Main Street Auto in Kent. In fact, I've never heard a bad word about Main Street Auto. Unfortunately, they're always very busy and they don't take Goodyear Credit Card. Flynn has been reasonably priced and has always been very timely. Notably, they are part of the echeck waiver program. If you don't know what I mean by that, then it's irrelevant to you. If you have failed echeck (or fail in the future), then an auto repair facility that's part of the echeck waiver program could potentially be very helpful. I'm not saying you should definitely take your car to Flynn's for repair or for new tires, but I recommend putting them on your short list to consider if you need those services and are in the Kent area.

god where to begin with this? honestly some of this is on me for being dumb enough to come back…read more countless appointments where I've shown up at my scheduled time, only for them to wait until the last possible second to finish it. Have you ever waited in a Firestone for eight hours because I certainly have. countless times where I've come in for one problem, spent hundreds of dollars, only for the problem to not actually be fixed. I've even had no less than three appointments where I've been called and told they cant actually fufill my appointment. first time was reasonable enough at the day before, another was twenty minutes before, and one was FIVE. HOURS. after I had dropped off my car. not only that, I've had my struts, wheel bearing, sway bars, and exhaust system fixed here a little over a year ago. now, since I'm outside of the warranty coverage, suddenly every single one of those parts are broken and need replaced. it feels like every day I remember a new way this store absolutely screwed me over without ever once actually helping me. "Caveat Emptor" Went to Fix-It with Fred for a needed oil change and the air conditioner was…read moreblowing warm air. Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.
