    I rented a moving truck. Truck was in good condition, staff was helpful & nice. They allow after-hours drop-off which was very convenient.

She and the rest of the team were super friendly even though Coronavirus is presently trying to kill us all. We weren't thrilled with the car class allotted by insurance, so she even helped us call insurance to try and get us into something bigger. Enterprise's IT systems are pretty awesome because without my doing anything, they linked up the insurance reservation at Enterprise with my Executive Elite profile at National. I even stopped by in person a few days prior to my trip to make sure that a 4 door pickup truck would be available for my reservation since I normally rent at the airport and realize they don't have a large fleet onsite. The woman at the desk told me not to worry that all of their trucks are 4 door. I left feeling reassured. On Saturday the day of my reservation, I arrived at 2:08pm and the desk agent tells me they are closed and even if they weren't closed, he doesn't have a truck on site anyhow. No apology- just told me I needed to leave. They left me sitting outside on the curb.

I'd made a reservation weeks in advance & was in from out of state. Called this location the same day & they hooked me up immediately w/ a car & even let me choose between 2 different upgraded cars. Much appreciated. Negative: It appears they took advantage of a misunderstanding & used it to get a little more money out of me. And then also, when I saw my final charge on my bank statement I noticed Hertz had taken the liberty to round the total up from the total of which they assured me @ check-out. Granted it's a small amount but it speaks to the trust factor & more indications they don't seem to value being above board & transparent. And if they've been rounding up every customer's total, it'll add up to a pretty decent extra bit of $ for them. Just beware. They get a LOT of bad reviews & while part of my experience was great, I don't trust them.

The shuttle driver was nice and dropped us off right out front. Despite having Enterprise, National and Alamo on the building and what looked like 3 doors they routed us all into one building/office. The clerks made short work of the line. I was asked about my insurance company (not sure if that is new to rentals or just to Alamo or Texas) but they didn't harass me about declining coverages. They also asked my deductible. The staff assisting me was nice (I told her I wanted to go to Buc-ee's and she asked where we were staying and googled the closest one for us. I also told her I was excited Texas had Quik Trips and she told me there was one right up the street. I asked about tolls and was told "oh yeah all our cars are equipped for tolls." I didn't see the toll transponder I have seen in other major cities with lots of toll roads so I didn't think anything of it. We did not take toll roads our first day. I asked the people we knew who lived in texas what their toll tags looked like as I could not find it on the car (found out it is a T in an orange circle says toll tag or something like it). Basically told us to suck it up and take toll roads, fees be damned (because what can you do?). I was pissed and anticipated a large toll bill (and I mean it was a lot for 4 days but at least Alamo doesn't gouge you on the "fee administration" of the tolls like other places). We returned the rental car 1/2 and got the toll bill today. Tolls were $58.62 for 4 days and the service charge was $19.80. I don't understand how people afford to drive in texas if you can rack up a $60 toll bill in 4 days but my husband said they can afford it because gas is so cheap. Ok so after gas station talk we went out to pick out our car. There was a good amount of standard SUV's (our rental class) and we were told to pick. We were walking up and down the aisle trying to decide what to pick and a staff asked us several times if we needed help. We picked a black Ford Edge which was pretty new (only 4500 miles!) that was nice. It fit all our luggage and passengers. It had dual climate control, heated seats and the giant screen that paired well with my husband's android. It was a great car to tool around in the 5 days we were there. We had to gas it twice and when my husband said gas was $37 I was like "how small is the tank?" but gas was only $2.49 Gassed it before return and it was $7 We had no issues returning the car as we put in the address on our rental contract and there were signs. We got there when a shuttle was about to take off but they waited for us! Shuttle driver was super helpful loading bags and getting us to the airport safely and timely. I would rent from this Alamo again if in the area and will likely rent from Alamo in the future.

We rented a Chevy Malibu and got the car quickly enough, but before we hit the street the car started jerking and then stalled on us with a notice on the dash saying to shift to neutral. My wife restarted the car and we got about halfway around the block before jerking abruptly to a stop as the engine shut down again. We managed to nurse it back around to the return side of the lot where we were told they would do a vehicle swap for us. They were totally casual about it like this happens all the time, but all I could think was we were about to drive across Dallas on the freeways out to Rockwall. If the car had died on the 635 we would have been screwed for sure, or even better yet seriously hurt in a crash as the car shuts down on a freeway. I called their customer service department today to discuss it with them, as I lost sleep last night thinking about how bad it could have been. They said they were going to escalate it to their management team, but I haven't heard back from anyone yet. In the meantime my wife noticed the check engine light has come on in the replacement (you guessed it, Chevy Malibu) and won't go off. So I'm just feeling super uneasy driving this car around and will certainly avoid renting from Alamo in the future as they are clearly not servicing their fleet. My family's safety is worth more than saving a few bucks on a sketchy rental.

The young man I spoke with on the phone I think his name was Ashton hooked me up with a sweet Nissan Frontier because of that fact which was awesome. I'm happy they consider the vehicle you already drive. I was hit by a tire and wheel that rocketed off the President George bush turnpike and homing missiled my truck with me and my cat in it about to step out to the vet. It was crazy! This happened after business hours and unfortunately during spring break so enterprise was very busy but they were able to hook me up with a great ride that doesn't make me feel extremely anxious to get my truck back, fingers crossed the insurance company doesn't total it out. I'm rarely happy with rental car places but this one was great. Thanks Ashton, gosh I hope I have that right.

On 3/15/26 at around 10am, the man from the counter gave us an unforgettable experience dealing with an Enterprise employee from this location. Initially we booked through Enterprise's phone service to ensure that we would have a reservation before going to the actual location to pick up the car. We paid for an Uber to get us to the location. Upon arriving, there was one man working at the counter. He was informed that we had a reservation. Upon checking, he informed us that there are no cars available anymore. He proceeded to complain that the booking was done 30mins prior and that they have 60-80 pick ups and drop offs from yesterday and that day to work on. Another coworker of his came in during that time and they both complained about their day/work on a Sunday. When asked if there is any other Enterprise location that has an available car to rent. We were brushed off to figure it out for ourselves because he needs to help another customer that came in. There was just one customer after us. So we just went outside to figure out our next best option, which is renting from a different company. Our jobs require us to provide customer service as well, I get the stress that a job gives a person. But don't be so obvious about it though. Try to learn how to manage it especially if you're right infront of a customer. It is so off-putting. At the end of the day, as an employee of the company you signed up to do the job. For Enterprise, I think the current reservation system needs to be looked into. The reservation service through the phone or online needs to match with the actual location. In situations like these, it just causes unnecessary stress and is just a waste of our time.
