    Consistency is key. It was time to come back through Dallas and the need for a car came up. As always, I did my research and somehow ended up with Alamo again. (The big sell was their competitive pricing!) I met their staff, Daniella. I told her I had a dilemma: I originally signed up for a mid-size car and didn't account for all the bags my party of three (plus a pup) had. I asked if it was possible to upgrade to a mid-sized SUV instead. She didn't even flinch, "No problem!" And the price difference?!? Not as much as I anticipated. The car was clean, it ran smoothly the whole 10 days I had it and yep... plenty of room for all our bags and passengers. I ended up dropping off the car in Austin, and that, too, was an easy process. They are definitely my go-to for car rental needs in Texas!

    Pickup: Offsite counter was a bit slow. Also, new question when renting a car was asked: "What is the name of your auto insurance company?" I just switched and had no idea. And my insurance card was in my car in New York. Clerk insisted on a name, so I had to give him something or pay $25.00. Interesting new scam by Alamo to try to get people to pay for the extra insurance coverage. Car selection: Decent car selection. I was upgraded to an eclectic Kia. Was worried about range, but it worked out for my day trip. I wouldn't pay extra for an electric Kia. Handling was horrible and jittery. Car return: Don't follow the main signs for "car return." Alamo's car return is not on the side street where the official airport signs direct people. The shuttle area to get back to Love Field is outdoors and rather pathetic.

    We came a month ago and rented a car for the entire week. David, from the company, was very nice and friendly, and seeing us taking videos of the car before we took it, told us that it is unnecessary, since they "don't even check these superficial damages.. " when we'll return the car. We returned the car, and they told us that everything is fine. We even took a picture of the car - it's exactly as we got it. Surprisingly, a whole month after the trip, we get an email demanding we pay 1,800 dollars (!!!) for a damage they found on the car, a damage they didn't inform us on when we returned the car. They ignore our attempts to send them proofs that the damage existed before, and they provide no reasoning for demanding this a whole month after the trip is over. Not worth the cheap rental prices. Never renting from them again. They say this damage was caused because of a hail storm that occurred during the rental period. I rented a car with THEIR INSURANCE, and they still want me to pay 1,800 USD for a damage I didn't cause. For a damage they didn't show me when I returned the car. This is outrageous! Be careful and avoid this company

    Had a trip scheduled for 4 days with a trip to Houston and back. I have used alamo once previously in las vegas. That was a last minute suv rental to pick up a stranded friend in Arizona. That was great service and they didn't have a lot of cars available. So this experience was no different. Met by one guy who was already helping a guest. Then a manager I believe it was helped me. I had a mid sized car rented, and I think he gave me a upgrade to a dodge charger. I have to say, I'm not a big fan of dodge since I had two dodge cars that blew up on me. But since I knew I was going to return it, that was ok. Lol. The car was pristine inside. It drove and rode a lot better than what I thought it would. I was out of the rental lot in no time. Upon return it was a little weird coming in but it may have been me just tired. Drop off was quick and then took a 4 minute shuttle to the airport. Everyone was friendly. Moving forward I will be renting all of my cars from Alamo.

    The check-in process was quick and efficient. The employees were relatively friendly. The car drives smoothly and was filled with gas, but it wasn't until we were already on the road that we noticed this car looks as if it hasn't been cleaned. In a time like corona, cleanliness is extra important. This alone significantly decreases the likelihood that I would rent from them again, or encourage anyone else to do so.

    If it's available, I don't see why not, but best to make reservations ahead of time.

    Has anyone rented an infant seat or child car seat from this location? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm traveling with my 2 year old and 9 week old.

We did not have the best experience. The service was not exactly up to the normal. When a customer asks a question there should be an answer. Twice the woman was short with us and then walked away and said she wasn't going to assist. She did return and help us and even though we mentioned the upgrade we had to ask for a second time. Once we got the car it smelled horrible of urine. Return went very well. That team was super nice.

The Shuttle was easy to find and it showed up right when I did. The office had a managed line. The workers were friendly. I think Derrick helped us. I don't like that they ask, "which protection plan do you want", while pointing to three choices. Naturally, most people just pick the basic, like the cheapest car wash, not realizing they don't have to pick one at all (a viable choice for people with coverage from premium credit cards), but that issue is with the corporation in general. Update: I was charged $60 for having "an additional driver". The agent asked if I wanted one and I said sure, but he did not inform me. In retrospect it is a little underhanded. I mean, it's not like saying, "you want cheese on that", but if the cheese is $60, you should probably say something. PS. We missed the gas station on our way back. As expected, we got charged. Keep in mind that mistake will cost you $11 a gallon. However, they let me pick up at Dallas and drop off at Austin without extra charges, so that was... um... thrifty. I'm just pissed they no longer sell ice cream!

Luckily a peer came back and took over, and he was delightful and friendly. Once we were processed inside we headed out to the shuttle that carried us to the car lot. The shuttle takes you to your exact spot, which was nice. With the rental, we added the gas package, which I recommend. You can return on empty and not have to worry about it. There are not too many convenient gas stations near DAL, so the convenience is worth it in my opinion. Return was easy as well. Pulled into the lot, they scanned what they needed, then we hopped back on the shuttle that carried us to the terminals. Overall, decent experience.

He specifically told me the app gives more options than the counter and to select whatever I wanted because that's what I was entitled to. I selected a Ford Expedition and it was approved. When I was leaving the rental car facility at the exit gate, the manager literally ran up, stopped me in traffic with other cars behind me, and told me I could not take the vehicle. They revoked the approved complimentary upgrade on the spot with no explanation or apology. This was chaotic, embarrassing, and completely unacceptable for a loyalty customer. Stopping traffic to take back a confirmed benefit is beyond unprofessional. Elite status clearly means nothing at this location. I will never rent from here again.

Sorry.) with the "yes sir, no sir." He was so polite and it is very hard to find in Dallas these days. The girls there were also very polite. They were even accommodating to my needs. The car's quality: The car's quality was good. No issue. The car's CLEANNESS: Oh helllllll no! The moment I put my hands on the steering wheel I felt it was oily and sticky, the center arm rest part where my right elbow touches was also sticky. Then the same night during sleep my ear was itching so I wake up and look at the mirror and it was inflamed! (INFO: My ear has eczema, so it has compromised skin to begin with; therefore, it doesn't take bacteria well.) Then I recalled I was touching my ears with the hands that I touch the steering wheel with. So the next day I learned my lesson and wiped down the steering wheel with 75% alcohol wipes. And LORD BEHOLD! It was so dirty! So dirty that it took multiple wipes to get it to not turning black. And the steeling wheel felt dry and clean again after all the wiping. The charges: No surprise charges, inspection was smooth. I will use Enterprise again BUT I will bring disinfecting wipes........
