Ok we have use this tire shop three times the first time it was ok then my daughter went down to get some tires for her Toyota Spyder and with in 2 months I noticed the back two tires had no tread on them. It looked like they were used tires and she paid for new. Well sham on me I took my truck to them for tires and some work they tried to charge me for work that was not done to my truck. Didn't know you could find affordable new tires until my little sister said to go come here. Costco wanted $950 for a set of 18s for an stock Accord... Budget got me brand new tires installed for $380!!! Sure they're Nexen brand... I could give a crap less. I don't notice the difference between these and the prior bald Michelins... Same for my Dodge Durango. Stock 17s were only $90 a piece brand new! Mile Star brand. To me, I don't care about the brand name. I like reputable good quality service. I have been dealing with this tire shop for about 3 years now. The shop use to be in the back of another business and was old and very dirty. But Yesterday. I had taken a car there for a Alinement and they now have taken over the front business and the place looks Very nice. They now have a waiting room with a TV and the prices are still great! They still carrie new and use tires, they do brakes and much more. I was very impressed that they made such a big move and are trying there best to keep the prices low. Called to inquire about the price of 2 tires. Was given what I felt a reasonable estimate that included install, mount and balance,labor. Arrived on a Saturday around 9:30 am. The front desk guy was busy with another customer, however he did not look up to greet me or even acknowledge that I was there. This was my only complaint about the service received and had it not been for that I would have given them 5 stars. My husband and I were told it would be about an hour so we walked down and had breakfast at perkos while we waited. By the time we returned they were finished. So a couple months ago, my husband goes to get a new tire.. we have 20's on a Mustang... he can get the tires on and off with no problem. The first time we went and got the new tire, there was no problem getting the tire off... we went back because the tire was not holding air... they had a problem getting the tire off this time, not really sure why, and stripped the lug nuts trying to get the tire off. We were told we'd get a new set, free of charge, since THEY stripped them. 1) Because of the holiday weekend, we didn't get them when we said we would... chalk that up to people forgetting it was a holiday on Monday. 2) When we called to follow up, the lady who answered the phone had NO CLUE what my husband was talking about. 3) We were put in the position of having to follow up on something they said they would fix because they caused the problem. Its now Thursday, so we finally get there to get the issue fixed, and they want to charge me for all 4 sets when there was nothing wrong to begin with. The guy I talked to on Saturday wasn't there to confirm our conversation. As an employee of a small family owned business, if something goes wrong on our watch, we fix it... its common courtesy. I was happy with this shop at first, but today's experience just soured me to it. Won't be going back and I would suggest to other people, if you have after market or custom wheels and tires, don't go here. read more

They quote a low price and then try to up sale you, that is pretty normal. They told me 1 1/2 to finish the job. I was there for over 3 hours and was told they we waiting for parts. They did not explain that the parts were not in stock. For over an hour no one was even working on my car. That were working on other cars that came in after me. Two driveways just past the corner and the office is up front. Wish they would post their hours though. Bad bad American Tire Depot for placing an ad on Budgets space. I was looking for a place to buy some used tires, and called Budget Tire, and the guy on the phone said they tires that I needed for only $35.00 per tire - includes balance and installation. So I went over and when you first pull in, it is a little confusing. There are guys walking by you, but no one offers to help you, and other people I saw pull up were also standing there looking around like they didn't know what to do or where to go. Finally I asked someone who do I talk to to get tires and he directed me to a little office. A guy inside was very friendly, and he came out and examined my tires with me. I was prepared to replace all 4 tires, but the guy said only my front ones needed to be replaced, and that it would be about 20 minutes. Approximately 20 mins later my car was ready and I was on my way. I headed out down the street and noticed immediately that my steering wheel felt wobbly, and something was not right. I returned to the tire shop, and the guy that helped me was not there, but I explained to another guy there that I had just had my tires done and my car wasn't driving right, could he take a look? He went over and looked at them and was saying he wasn't sure what the problem was, maybe my rim was bent? I explained to him that there was no previous problem and that I wanted to make sure my car was operating safely because we were planning to drive to southern california in a few days, and I wanted to make sure my family was safe. I could not believe my ears when he said to me, if your so concerned about your families safety, why would you buy used tires, why wouldn't you buy new tires? I told him, if you have a problem with the used tires, why do you sell them? I felt that he was extremely rude, and it took over an hour for them to re-do the tires. My friend wanted me to find out how much a set of brand new tires for her Honda would be, but I just told her that she would be better off going somewhere else. I would never go back here, not even if they were giving the tires away, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone else. I ended up taking my car to someone else to double check that everything was installed correctly and was safe to have my family in the car for over 600 miles. read more

The BEST tire store by far! They are friendly and greet you with a smile. We'll never go to any other tire store in the Modesto area. We've bought ALL our tires for multiple cars at this store. Twice we've taken in a car with a nail in a tire and both times they've not charged us. The 2nd time they even exchanged the not fixable tire with a new tire of equal wear to the other tires for FREE!!!! These guys are good at what they do and they don't give you a runaround.
