I needed to fix the railings for the vertical blinds in the apartment and install some blackout coverings, and submitted a few quotes via Yelp. Quite a few vendors responded and came by to do estimates, but ultimately, Miguel was the most professional, comprehensive, and most organized of them all, which was one of the reasons I chose to go with Budget Window Coverings over the other competition. Miguel came by twice to do estimates and a final measurement to make double sure that everything will fit correctly, and within 3 weeks, the railings/coverings arrived and they scheduled a time to install. Miguel and David were perfectly on time and were amazingly fast in installing all the railings and coverings. Great customer service doesn't just happen during a sale, but it extends beyond it. And that's what Miguel and David of Budget Window Coverings exemplify...great customer service!! We initially reached out to Miguel for a quote and in spite of it being 7 o'clock in the evening, Miguel was willing to drive from Vallejo to Richmond to give us an estimate. We were upfront with him from the get-go that we may or may not use his services but Miguel was willing to come in the middle of the night to help us out since it was the only time we had available. Upon meeting Miguel, we knew immediately that we would be in good hands given how genuine he was. We knew exactly what we wanted and Miguel did not try to upsell us or push us to purchase anything we did not want to. Within less than 30 minutes of meeting with Miguel, we signed with him and made our deposit. Miguel kept us in the loop the whole time and when the blinds finally came in, he contacted us for a date that would work for us to come and do the install. Miguel arrived with David that morning and set to work right away and within a couple of hours, everything was completed. During our final walkthrough, there were some minor details that we wanted adjusted for a cleaner look and most companies would have easily made an excuse that our request was not possible...but not Miguel. His integrity really showed at this critical time as he was willing to go the extra mile to make the adjustments that we requested to complete the install. There was even a part that needed to be reordered due to it being a customized piece and Miguel helped us out with that as well!! But, he did respond right away. Made several suggestions & gave straight forward pricing. He was even willing to go to IKEA to price the items he offered as a suggestion. I thought that to be a wonderful offer. I did thank him for all his help. The product I did purchase from IKEA was very simple to install & did not require me to utilize a professional like budget window coverings. But nonetheless, he was incredibly helpful & very responsive to my inquiries despite not actually paying for his services. I had my shutters done more than 10 years ago. They told me that if something breaks it's a lifetime warranty. So maybe 4 years ago I couldn't close the shutter all the way I noticed it was broken. Then like on different parts of the shutters by the handles. I forgot about the warranty until one weekend I was admiring my sisters in laws shutters by the sliding door and mentioned the problem with mine. She told me to call David since it is lifetime warranty. I was hesitant to do so but every time I look at my children's windows I am frustrated. So I did call David and introduced myself and described my problems with my shutters. He ask me to take pictures and measurements. Then told me he will send me the replacement parts and I can do it.
