If you don't specifically state no warranty, you'll be sold one. That's why the price on the website doesn't match the counter. Why would anybody at all want to warranty a used ass part that has been exposed to the elements for however long? That's part of installing used parts. You win some and you lose some. If I do it a second time, it's with a new part. Not another used one that you'll be charged another warranty for. I notice the "premium" lot is expending. I'd bet before long, it's all going to be "premium". Tools not allowed in yard to my knowledge: Jack of any kind Hacksaw Sawzall Cut off wheel of any kind Normally I'd understand this rule. But occasionally there's something you're trying to buy that simply won't come off. In my case a fuel pump assembly. Lines frozen. I ended up having to go to tractor supply a few miles down the road to buy some tin snips so I could cut these lines. I had the sawzall in my truck. Couldn't use it. Apparently you can't lift the vehicle off the stands. Okay understandable. You put the stands under the control arms on the jeeps. Try pulling the front axle like that without lifting the vehicle up. I got charged about $1 per bolt for the shit I bought today. I could've bought the parts brand new for maybe $5 more and the bolts for half the price. I only went in because the wires on the truck I bought were all disconnected, so I needed a reference. Not to mention its location. If you live in Belton, you're probably good to go here. For me, it's 55 minutes each way. If you don't mind waiting a few days, buy it on eBay instead. I've turned in the core within the time allotted previously. They couldn't give me the money back so it was store credit. A few weeks later I tried to use that in store credit. To my expectation, didn't work. The prices are slowly creeping up. Making it way harder to buy the parts you want by dictating the tools you can use. Again mostly understandable. All of the cars are jumbled together. Literally zero organization. I shouldn't have to go to the counter to search for a truck. They should be put together by make. All fords go here. All chevys go here. Etc. Some parts are interchangeable between 82-97 f-series and I searched the yard for some time before finding a suitable candidate. I only left two stars because in the end I did manage to get the part I needed. If I had been some every day idiot, it would've never happened. I'll go to the one on 195 in Killeen from now on. read more

After visiting another used parts location in the Killeen area and not finding what we were looking for, my son and I went here. We found everything we needed and more. The prices were actually less than I expected and included core charges. We later returned the parts we had replaced and got money back. One item was a pickup truck bed. The forklift operators were available to move it out to our trailer and again to take the old one back in. The core charge for the bed and tailgate was $50, that is more than we would have gotten to have sold the old parts for junk metal. You can call to verify they have the make/model you are looking for before you visit. They also rotate their stock continuously, so you are not looking through a bunch of already stripped vehicles. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. My 14yr old car decided to die on me & I wasn't putting any more money into it. So I left it @ Lowe's parking lot, called them to see how much they would give me for it ($300) & if they could pick it up. Yes, they did, no extra charge. It was a sad day for me but I got some money out of it & hopefully the car can live on "part by part". LoL.... I think they charge $2 per person to go into the yard to find parts & you have to be 18yrs old or 16 & accompanied with an adult. Bring your tool boxes!! read more

This company is the only one who was willing to send an agent to my house and give me an estimate. They called me to say the agent was on his way. My business partner and I do a lot of business with the del valley and holland locations. Have had not played thing but great experiences at all other locations. But seems like we have had nothing but trouble in belton. 1st visited paid 125 for a cylinder head. Online prices say 75. Today went in to grab a few things. Got 2 coolant hoses and a air pump from a bmw on regular side and wheel hub off a town and country. Went over to premium side to get a control arm off a Malibu. Removed from car and went to check out. Was charged way over than online prices. So left 2 air pump and control arm. Once got back out to car looked at receipt to Match with online prices. Only to find out every single part was more expensive that what there online prices show. Went back in thinking Mabey they made a mistake. Was told reason was because we went to premium side after reg side. We were charged premium prices for every Item because we took them with us to premium side with us. Even though there is no sign or anything saying we couldn't do so. Even more messed up they didn't even have a bmw or town country on premium side. Which all of our parts but control arm came from. Tried to pay for the control arm just to get out of there. They wanted to charge over 30.00 for a control arm when it say 17.00 online because the ball joine was attached and we didn't press it off. Not sure how many people get screwed daily but they are getting you if you don't check your receipt. If you do dosnt matter they make up a b/s story to not admit guilt. Bad business all around. Stay far away from the crooks in belton. Go to any of the other wrench a parts the deserve your business. These guys are a joke. read more

They don't know what they have and that is, in fact, what they told me without any apology-even got invited to "Just leave". I'll start out with the GOOD. This place is great if you just need one simple part. I'm talking like a headlight, a turn signal lens, a headlight switch etc. Pricing is decent for these type of items and the selection and organization of the yard is great. Now here's the BAD. Say you need something more complex that is made of many small pieces, like an engine, transmission, rear axle, etc.. This is where they screw you. Say you show up to the counter with a transmission. They are going to charge you for the transmission assembly itself which already puts you in the $100+ range, then they will charge you for the torque converter, bellhousing, dust shield, sensors, output yoke, transmission pan, wiring harness, NUTS, BOLTS, etc...basically anything they can see in front of them and find on their price list. Before you know it, you're looking at $300 displayed on the cash register. Yep, the price tripled. INSANE! A high mileage transmission of unknown working condition, for which I had to spend my time to pull myself with my own tools is NOT worth $300. Oh yeah, lets remember that I also paid $2 just to set foot in the yard. This crazy system of nickel and dime-ing the customer to no end is not a mistake either, the cashiers are specifically trained to ring up parts like this. Just a way to trick customers into paying too much after they already invested time in removing the part, in hopes that they are desperate and will just pay it anyway. The better junkyards I've been to will happily bargain with you on these kinds of large purchases. They could care less about the small incidental parts when the customer is making a major purchase. They will make you a package deal on the entire engine, transmission, or whatever, so that's it a good deal for both parties and you will still want to come back again. I really don't like writing reviews like this, but this time I feel like I need to because I would hate for anyone else to spend their time and sweat removing something big, only to be bait and switched on the price. read more

I'm from Dallas and when I first started visiting this yard was great. You could get a lot of nice parts for older models of cars. Now when they receive anything old the owner of the yard places them into his own section. They lady at deck told me he has about 100 cars from the 60s-70s. As if he plans to restore them.. BS. We called and we were quoted a good price for a part. Went up there and decided to get two of the same because of the price, just in case. Get to the cashier and the price came up to double what we were quoted. The cashier was a bit rude and snooty. She went to talk to somebody who refused to honor the quoted price. Now you get quoted for such and such a price, you go to pull your part, and it now costs double what is was quoted for after you spend all day pulling the part. Travis has turned into a rip off. They charge you for every nut and bolt, no kidding. Will tell my mechanic friends to stay away. Get this , you have to pay for a warranty on your part if it doesn't work and you want to return it? So, First off let me explain that I understand this is a pull your own part. I understand they don't inventory every single part that may or may not be on the cars. I paid my $2 to get in, told the lady who took my money what I was looking for. She said she had 1, a red 2002 Celica. She sent me to row 45. As I approached the row I realized there aren't any Toyota's at all in this section, it's all Mitsu and and honda's but I went up and down every aisle in that section anyway. It wasn't there. So I went to the Toyota section. Up and down every aisle again, found a sixth gen silver Celica but no 2002 red one. I gave up my search and went in where they checked my bag again. I told them it was a wild goose chase and that red Celica didn't exist. The lady said oh, well it might have been crushed already. my biggest complaint at this point was if it was crushed I think the car should have been taken out of their inventory, so I didn't spend an hour looking for it. She then proceeds to hand me two fake construction paper dollar bills that say wrench a part. I guess that was compensation for wasting my time. I don't live in the area and don't plan on coming back. Thanks for nothing and left them on the counter. I don't recommend this place at all. read more
