So I was approached last week by an business review company that knew I was a recent Buds Tire Pro customer. I was asked about previous work and future maintenance. I mentioned I needed my front brakes done. Long story short, I took the steps asked to include with my brake maintenance request and here are where I ended up. 2 phone numbers listed and on line are incorrect. Never got a reply to my quote request When I finally got their correct phone number, I was very specific and detailed about my front brakes as far as squeaks and a beginner grind feeling which was not deep. I had it measured and gauged per the business review person. Rotors were within guidelines on having enough thickness to have turned and resurfaced. I was told a quote of $220 including labor. I asked upon signing off on getting the work started to have the rear parking brakes adjusted also. When the technician took a look at the front rotors, he recommended new rotors and a new estimate of $436. I asked why do I need new rotors if I those were to be resurfaced? I was told, "ok let me see what we can do but you may need at least one new rotor" 4 hours later I was told my truck was done, and ready to go. Never once was I told about or mentioned the dust rubber boots needed to be replaced or do I know if they were replaced. A very low cost part to replace when a thorough brake job is done. My total ended up being $290. Invoice was not reviewed with me, nor does it say if those dust boots were replaced or recommended to have replaced. they took payment, folded and stuffed invoice in their envelope and a thank you. I was asking if the front brakes were adjusted because the last brake job turned out to have a soft pedal and my truck is not the type to "bleed" the brake system. The person at the counter thought twice I was referring to the rear drum brakes and I told him I was aware on how those are adjusted but wanted to be sure about how the front was adjusted. He then said, "just bring it back if it feels soft" and was in a hurry to help the next lady waiting as well. The store was not busy. I'm not sure if this survey would help anyone. I did feel as if I was being lied to and didn't feel as satisfied as I have in the past. Nor will I ultimately know if the dust boot to each caliper was ever replaced until the next service. read more

These guys are the best. Time and again they prove why an independent shop with experienced employees is the way to go. I have an old VW, and these guys are about the only people around that not only have the equipment to change these tires, but will go out of their way to make sure they do a top quality job at a reasonable price, every time! Having spent $1300.00 + and receiving extremely poor customer service, I feel this review is warranted. (Service January 4th - 9th, 2017) First I used the online service request, no response. Had prior positive experience with Tire Pros, Anaheim, CA so I called and made appointment. Although I provided detailed written explanation of the diagnostic work I needed, apparently the Service Tech didn't understand because he basically asked me what I wanted done when I was finally able to connect with him on the phone. Communication was definitely lacking and as a result what I hoped would be a one day repair ended being 3 and 1/2 days. The Tech insisted on keeping my car until Monday, so he could test drive it and make sure the repairs were done properly, he was going to call me when the car was ready. Monday no call, and when I called I found out Monday was his normal day off, so he lied. When I got to the shop, I found out the information left regarding my car was that it was ready and I didn't need to be called. While I was given a discount for the extremely poor service, it should be noted that I had a 10% discount coupon which I had given to the Service Tech and was assured it was handled. Apparently not because the Manager made no mention of it. Based on the quote I was given it was my understanding that the this covered all the required repairs--wrong--additional repairs were listed on the invoice. So with the exception of any warranty repairs ---Bud's is a no go for me. read more

I had a great experience today at this location. All the staff was positive, quick, and helpful. The waiting area was comfortable and appreciated getting a Keurig coffee while I waited. The owner, Bud Luppino, stopped and said hi. We spoke for a good time and it is clear that Bud and his company are committed to great customer service and community service. I received a reply from bud regarding my last review. I was told 2 hours to plug a hole in my tire. When I called back 5 minutes later inquiring about a new set of tires I was told that they could fit me in it 15 minutes. I live right across the street but will gladly drive the extra distance to otwells for better service and similar prices. I gave one more star on this reply to bud just for the fact that bud takes the time to check and respond to reviews. However, in the time spend doing so, he probably could have patched a customers tire instead of losing the business. Sorry to be rude but I think its horrible to be made to wait all that time just because I am not spending a ton of money at that time. Good service on that visit could have resulted in a sale of a set of tires or something larger in the future instead of them being purchased else where. Maybe talk to your employees and come up with a solution to this issue so all customers are treated fair in the future.. first come first serve is always a fair policy... Sadly, I'm giving Bud's a 1 star review today. We have been customers at Bud's Woodcrest for many years, but we won't be back. I brought my 2016 Chevy Equinox in for an oil change and wasn't informed until after it was rung up that they only have full synthetic oil for my car?! What the heck?! Then, I had an appt, told them I would be waiting, and it was over an hour before they even pulled my car in to start the service. I know it won't matter to them that I won't be back, but I couldn't just do nothing. read more

I've been coming to Bud's for years and have always had good service at a good price. But the last few times I've had to use they're service has being very disappointing. The quality of the work has dropped. My last visit was just a simple tire change. I dropped my rim a spare off on Sunday and was told that it would be completed same day. I called prior to closing to see if my rim and tire change was completed and the person that answered the phone told me that the technician was having difficulties changing the tire from my rim which is a 22' rim that they have changed many times in the past. So I told him to stop and wait for someone else that has experience to change it. So the next day I go and pick it up and the technician scratched my rim up and the manager tried claiming they didn't do it that the machine they use couldn't have caused so I had to explain to him how it could happen if the person performing the job doesn't know wha he is doing. Plus I have pictures of the rim prior to taking it in. I was puzzled as to what was going on with this place with poor quality work and then I found out that Bud had sold the business to an out of town company out of New York, it all made sense as to the drop in quality and service. I will no longer take any of our vehicles to Bud's because it's really no longer the Bud's Tire everybody liked and appreciate. read more

Lost my business forever. Scheduled serpentine repair. Two phone calls later one for tire replacement and after I refused that it was the harmonic balancer, refused that. Red flag was I have been trained for inspecting tires and none were even to the wear bars yet. Then it was if you don't agree to harmonic balancer charge $700.00, we won't change your belt. Thats what I scheduled not other repairs. I told him old car just want to drive until it breaks. Told him he would lose my business if he would not replace the belt. His reply was "Do whatever ya got to do" Smart Ass.. I went and picked up my car and will take it somewhere else. Does this sound like an honest business to anyone? Does this sound professional to anyone? BEWARE, DISHONEST, many bad reviews stating the same thing so all I can do is hope enough people learn the truth and this business closes. I came in here today after my brother insisted that they were the best in town. For once I can say my brother was right! Lol...okay, it's not the first time, but I must say I was very impressed. I had a tire that was slowly leaking air so I wanted to have it checked out before the hustle and bustle of holiday driving. They took me in right away, were very friendly in spite of being pretty busy. I went home to wait for a call and after a few hours decided to call them. My car was ready but in my hurry to get out of there, the phone number I gave them was wrong. Glad I called!! When I went to pick it up he handed me the keys, told me it was ready and wished me a Merry Christmas. I asked what I owed him and he said, just come back when you need tires. I couldn't believe it! I cannot say enough good things about the customer service i received here. I dropped my car Off and called about an hour and a half later to check the progress, they informed me they were running behind schedule, i explained my frustration because it was so far off from the estimated time they had given me. The guy that i spoke to, couldn't have been nicer or more apologetic, (which is sometimes all you can ask for when the timing is out of their hands) however they put an extra person on the job, got my car done sooner than expected, and even discounted the service and were just so nice about it. I had to drive someone to have a tire repaired. He needed to have a worn tire removed and another used one put on the rim in it's place. He had been having many recent tire issues and money was an issue. Even though it was a busy Saturday they did the work right away in order to keep one less person waiting (well, two). It took less than five minutes. When he went to pay he was told it was no charge. It was their good deed of the day. I was so impressed it left me in an upbeat mood for the entire day. I paid it forward, needless to say. I wish more people were this magnanimous. I wish I could remember the man's name who was so kind, but I think the whole place operates on that attitude. I needed new tires on my new set of wheels but needed to remove the TPMS from my old set of wheels first. I asked for a quote through Yelp and got a response within 30 minutes. Happy with the quote, I went in to the shop in person and was greeted the moment I walked in the store. The staff are professional and friendly. They were able to order me a new set of tires and took care of my request of removing the TMPS sensor from my old set of wheels. I came in the following week after my tires arrived to put them on my new set of wheels and the guys there were able to get them on in a timely manner. I've been to their second location as well sometime in the past and would recommend either location to anyone that is looking to get a tire change or alignment. read more

Went in to get a nail removed from my tire and RECEIVED HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I go to Buds all the time, so does the rest of my family, and we refer people to them always. Seriously rethinking this THEY ARE FORGETTING WHO THE CUSTOMER IS!!!! The guy was RUDE!!! All he wanted to do was sell me tires and refused to repair my tire. The nail was not on the side wall (no where near it) so they had no reason not too. Since he refused to repair my tire I left and went down the street where my tire was repaired. Walked into the Indiana Store in Riverside at 7:30 AM on 2/27/19 to get brakes and alignment, also rotate tires, haven't been there for over 12 years, moved away but work in area. Joe set me up, said he would call for pricing in a bit, went to work called about 9:30 AM told me price as well as gave me options on alignment pricing, ok'd it and said vehicle would be done around 1 pm. Called about 12:45 pm to verify vehicle was ready, low and behold Bud answered the phone and told me that truck was being test driven. Below was my 2 star experience with Buds Tires. I gave them a new rating of 4 stars after dealing with Joe and Michael my second time around. Thanks for the help. This is my first experience with buds tire pros. I was calling around to get a quote for a tire swap and balance. I contacted tire pros I spoke with Joe. He gave me an honest quote for the swap so I went with tire pros. The next day I came in Joe was not available nor did anybody know about the quote I was given. At the time I didn't know the gentleman's name on the phone "Joe" so I understand any skepticism by the other workers. My car was taken in by a gentleman and he started working on the tires. I was outside of the shop and the gentleman started complaining about even doing the work to the car. I was blown away at this moment. Another gentleman by the name of Michael was the middleman between myself and the mechanic outside working on my car. Assured me the work would be done correctly And not to worry about the mechanic outside. But at this time I'm worried about the job being done correctly. Very unprofessional as far as I'm concerned.
