This place was really good! Not your authentic Puerto Rican food if that's what you're looking for. Service was great. There was some seating but not a lot. It's a small market/ deli, so you can buy snacks and what not while you explore the island. I had breakfast here. They were open really early. I got fresh squeezed orange juice and a bagel platter that came with smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, cucumbers, onions and a bagel. I also had a cold brew coffee. It's not quite like the bagels in NYC, but it really hit the spot. I would go back if I ever find myself back in Vieques.

One of the best steak and eggs I've ever had! Very nice atmosphere and ambiance, this is def a must try.

The food was good. The Bloody Mary was spicy and delish. The young man that set us at a table told us he would put us in the perfect shady spot. As you can see, we had to move it was so sunny. The waitress was really sweet. Probably the best cappuccino I had in a long time. Prices are super high! $65 for two for breakfast! If money is not a thing, this is a good place.

Avo on brioche toast with a fried egg. Delicious and presented with care

Such a good find ~ grateful for the fresh, authentic food and relaxed atmosphere with lovely background music. Will be back. GREAT coffee & cold brew!

This is a "one experience review", and it contrasts dramatically with the majority of other reviewers. But since my motto is to "be direct", here goes: Based on the look of the place online and the reviews, I expected it to be a 5 star review. My experience reduced it to 2 stars. We stopped by for espresso, everyone raved about their coffee and espresso. Sitting at the bar where all the drinks are made, I figured the espresso would be great, as they used illy coffee pods, so how could it be bad? Ordered a double, watched it being made. I think Kelley, our energetic barista, doubled the water and used a single pod. It was weak. And luke warm. Lost 1 star. Watched Kelley make iced coffees, spilling coffee on the area where she worked, wiping it up with the same dripping wet rag she used to wipe down the side of the glasses in which she over-poured the coffee. Sorry, that's gross and another star lost. Figured we would try a breakfast burrito as someone else was having it and looked great. It was, at best, mediocre. The "salsa" served on the side was only finely chopped tomatoes which lacked flavor and any zest. The burrito was stuffed with tasteless black beans. Sorry, this is Vieques. Puerto Rico. Where's the flavor, folks? Lost another star. While we were there, 3 different (apparently local North American seasonal residents) placed orders for a bagel lox and cream cheese. It seems to be popular with the non Vieques crowd who frequent Buen Provecho, and others have written about it in their reviews. I don't know if it's great, let's assume it is, but frankly, I don't come to Vieques to eat a bagel lox and cream cheese. To each their own. I got the impression this was a place for the tourists who feel more comfortable with the specialty foods they sell at exceedingly high prices, and the North American residents of Vieques who like to sit around the bar/counter and talk with others like themselves and chisme about whatever is going on. It had a certain clique feel about it. It serves a purpose, I'm sure of that, but if you're a tourist, I'd recommend you go elsewhere (eg, local color, folks), and strongly recommend they figure out how to make a double espresso in an Illy machine using a Illy pod the right way. And get rid of that filthy dripping rag used to wipe up everything. It's disgusting.

Was looking for a nice breakfast place with my sisters as it was our first day on the island. We walked in and the place looked nice. We waited about 2 minutes before someone came to help us. She took our order and afterwards told us that there was an Art Museum directly next door we could visit while our food was prepared which seemed fine. We came back maybe 8 minutes later and our food was done. We sat down and ordered some Chai Lattes. Food came out to be almost $40 which seems pricy for just three people getting two items each for breakfast. One of the Chai Lattes were made without milk so we asked for some milk with a different waitress which she seemed annoyed and would begin walking away while I was talking. Maybe she was having a bad day but at the same time, you want to make the customers feel like they are able to ask for anything and not feel like an inconvenience. Overall, I like the food, seemed fresh and tasted good but costumer service could be a little better.

Sausage, egg, pepper jack, avocado and fresh oj. Delicious!

Good food but they really need to turn down the bass on their sound system. We've come several times and that's the only negative.

Best food we had in PR. Fresh house cured salmon, fluffy pancakes and fantastic coffee.

We didn't get the same positive vibes as other fellow Yelpers. Sorry to say…read more To start, it's a confusing layout in a historical building. You walk through a jewelry store to get to a small restaurant that combines Virgin Islands Ice Cream shop with Calypso Cafe. Most of the seats were taken, and all we saw was a line to place your order at the front. My husband waited in line while I found a table that hadn't been cleaned yet. It was very busy there. He ordered us 2 brownies and 2 bottles of water for $16. The lady at the counter gave herself a tip by taking $3 of the change and giving him back $1. He was going to give her all the change ($4) back, but after that incident he was floored. To add insult to injury, she didn't give us what we paid for. She proceeded to help the next person in line for an ice cream shake order. We waited and waited and no one acknowledged us after trying to flag someone down. We finally got the attention of a different lady who was helping people who were seated in the back. I think her name is Cameron. She didn't fully understand our frustration, and we had to explain that we didn't get the items that we had already paid for. She made it all right, and even offered to warm up the brownies. We just didn't feel like waiting longer for it. I'm giving benefit of the doubt here since maybe we just didn't understand the ordering system. Maybe there's a service charge that we didn't know about. How could we? We didn't even get a receipt. Perhaps there's another line for Calypso Cafe? I don't know. Honestly, the lady at the counter should have informed Cameron before proceeding on to the next customer. It only takes 2 seconds. I mean, really! Will we go back? Absolutely not! We'll go somewhere else the next time we're in Charlotte Amalie. It wasn't worth the long wait for 2 bakery items and water.

The crepe was filled to the brim with fruit (banana and strawberries) and Nutella. We did also opt for whipped cream, but you can ask for without. Latte was STRONG. The omelette was also packed full, this time with various veggies and even ginger! The toast that comes with is plain white toast topped with butter. The space itself is cozy and cute, although hidden. You will have to walk through a jewelry store to find it. Front of the shop is dedicated to coffee and sweets while the back is for main breakfast and lunch dishes. Highly recommend!
