1st time here and it was AMAZING! We got the mushroom melt and with vegan cheddar and the banh mi sandwich with tempeh. Both were soo delicious! Best vegan sandwiches we have had in a very long time (we've been vegan 10 years). We got the side of soup with both sandwiches- believe it had lentils, carrots and squash? It was delish! Highly recommend. Lattes were outstanding too! We got 2 bowls to go as headed back to Orlando. Grateful for such nourishing food in such a beautiful space while we were in town. Thank you!!

Oh my gosh! Just happened to find this incredible find! We ordered the veggie burger and my wife had a salad. The salad was gluten free and had an outstanding toasted sesame dressing. It was awesome!! The veggie burger came with a small salad and they were outstanding too. A little messy, but sooooo worth it The flavors were outstanding!! Go there!!

Very good breakfast burrito. Extra buttery flavor and plenty of sweet potato. Over-medium eggs so not super messy. Filling. The spicy romesco sauce could have some more kick, or maybe a second hotter sauce could be added to the sides. They used to have a nice faux-sausage mixed in but this is the new recipe. Only non-vegetarians actually care about meat-tasting substitutes. So it really just depends on who they're catering to. Same price as 4 years ago, so, with that trade off, I don't really miss the fake-meat crumbles. The rest of the menu is very nice and creative, as it's a veg/vegan cafe. But the burrito or the taco plate is where it's at. Cappuccino is fairly good, but maybe I'd be more impressed with one of their bespoke recipes. Nice service. A couple of ladies working the bar and a chef in the back. Clean place. Cozy and comfortable. But they should double check the table layout and the seats. The 2-top I picked out was right on a crack between cushions on the bench. So the only way to get comfortable was to slide the table a foot to the right or a foot to the left, crowding out the neighboring tables. Cappuccino, Breakfast Burrito, 20% tip, and tax came to 19.70.

A terrific little café in the West King ST area, small but charming with a great menu and daily specials. I thought I would just have a cafe con leche & a scone, but then I read the menu and watched some beautiful plated meals being served and I found a seat at the bar and ordered the Nut Toast. It was so delicious -- almond butter, fresh fruit, coconut flakes & agave syrup like a thick french toast. Next I had the soup of the day which was squash & garbanzo beans & the perfect spice. I truly look forward to sampling more of the gastronomic menu in the future. The servers were BUSY but still attentive and the chef makes pleasant appearances.

Absolutely excellent vegan breakfast options, which we stumbled on when waiting and giving up on the Blue Hen across the street. We were so happy with the outcome! I love that the vegan options had a good protein focus to it! So many times we have had vegan food that while flavorful, isn't filling or nutritious. The ban mi was deliciously fresh and flavorful, the pickle in it was a nice touch. It came with a tomato soup which was tart and warming. The avocado toast was excellent too - great bread, flavorful tofu, and a bite from the potatoes. Both portions were very filling, the drinks were ordered were generously sized as well. It's a quick service cafe, food came in 15 minutes. We ate in at one of the tables, which we got pretty quickly even though they were pretty full when we first walked in. There's also a bar stool area if you'd like instead. Can't wait to go again!

I've been a few times now and I can happily say this place is solid. Good food. Fresh ingredients. It's so refreshing to have actual food and not a bunch of generic stuff that gets dropped off by a frozen food supplier. Their coffee is also delicious with real ingredients. And the mugs have my whole heart. Oh, and the staff is oh so sweet. They're laid back, kind and good at their jobs. This place is charming, quirky and always a treat.

The food was tasty (beet salad) and I recommend the matcha tea with almond milk. A great location and friendly vibe.

Small bustling cafe. Seats were limited initially but opened up as we needed them. The menu accommodated each of us with meat and vegan options and everything was delicious and so fresh. 100% would recommend and will visit again!

Present Moment Bowl with grilled Tempeh.

Do yourself a favor and check out West King! You don't need to go downtown for great food. It's right here on West King sandwiched between a local brewery and a cool shop. I've been visiting Buena Onda 6 or so years ago when our son was a student at Flagler. This cosy cafe continues to be one of our favorite breakfast and lunch spots. Today I ordered the Present Moment Bowl topped with grilled Tempeh. The bowl was filled with fresh kale, properly massaged to give it a bit softer texture, Lentils, quinoa, roasted butternut squash with a creamy avocado dressing. My husband had the Breakfast Burrito. Two beautiful fried eggs, refried beans, avocado, mash, fresh, roasted, sweet potatoes, cheddar cheese, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. It served with a side of spicy romesco and cilantro dip. Both dishes were delicious, healthy, and filling. Glad we walked here because now I can walk off what I just ate!

Great staff. Delicious latte! And egg bagel. I drove an hour and 15 minutes to try this place and it was worth it! I've been wanting to go for ages since I am vegetarian. I will need to come back asap! Thank you

Lattes ,breakfast burritos and a cookie that I forgot the name of it but the taste was very memorable.

The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

It was a pretty cold and uncomfortable welcome. That said, the restaurant is absolutely charming. I really loved the interior ambiance--it's cozy, well-decorated, and has a very pleasant vibe. The food was extremely delicious. We ordered the Half Pound Ice Plant Burger and it was juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. You could taste the quality in every single bite--the meat was perfect, the ingredients fresh, and everything very well balanced. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had recently. Despite the initial host experience, I would return without hesitation for the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommended, but they could improve the initial greeting.

They also had a lot of other Greek and Polish beers that I had never heard of so you gotta try one. For my entree I originally was going to go with the Gyro but then I saw that they have Goulash which I very much enjoy but rarely can find it. Our food came out pretty quickly and I was give a large bowl of Goulash as well as some fresh bread. Ashley of course went with a Mix of Pierogies and added bacon & onions to it. My Goulash was very flavor and dipping the bread in the broth was great. I will say it was thinner then other Goulash's I have had. This was more of a broth base where I enjoy a bit of a thicker stew type. Still something I would recommend getting especially with the limited option we have in the area and this will hit the spot. Ashley also did get a order of Blackberry Pierogies that I never got to try since she ran off with it after we got back to where we were staying. We highly recommend the B.E.C.ky, the Better Than..., the Venetian, and the Tulum Sammie. My personal favorites were the Venetian and the Tulum Sammie--both were absolute perfection. It is rare to find a place where the food, coffee, service, and atmosphere all exceed expectations, but The Modern Rose does exactly that. I only wish we had something even half this good back home. They have only been open a little over a year, and I have a feeling that as more people discover just how wonderful this place is, reservations will become a must. This will absolutely be a must-visit for us every time we return to St. Augustine.
