We decided to come here for lunch, after so many attempts and it being a crowd, we got a chance to try it. We were seated right away, our waitress was very polite and she took good care of us. The food was very good and at a good price, the only issue is that our appetizer barely made it out before the entrees, which would not be a reflection on our waitress as she only provides what is giving. This is your typical sports bar - dark, TVs everywhere, with a large selection of fried food, beer, sandwiches and wings. Nothing too special about it. It's conveniently located next to Target in White Oak Shopping Center, but I prefer Carolina Ale House (2 min away) if you're looking for this sort of thing. I was weirded out by how many menu items they offer, and I docked points for that. I'm in the camp that you can only do a few things well and you shouldn't serve everything but the kitchen sink at your establishment. We tried the Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls when I was there. Unfortunately they were mushy instead of crispy, and the spicy chili sauce served with them just seemed like an odd pairing to me. Buffalo brothers more like Buffalo babies... I think to be a server here you can't be over the age of 14. To put this in perspective I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc and the baby brought me a red wine insisted it was a white couldn't remember simple orders etc. The worst part was when a beer was ordered the kid said oh that's what's up. 1st: it was peak dinner time. Took a few minutes to get seated, however, the server approached us before we had a chance to look at the menu! Drinks came out fast, as did the appetizers. Management came by several times to make sure we were good, and apologized for the "wait". I expect that during the Covid and can only hope that others do too. Employees were all wearing masks and there are sanitation stations throughout the space. We all loved the food, the service and the attention to detail, especially during these times. I have given this place FOUR chances. This will be the very last time I get food from this place. The first experience was really bizarre as the waiter gave me a SIDE of what I ordered (the Memphis Mac) instead of a full order? The second time we stood in front of THREE hostesses, they didn't even look up or speak to us while another party + our party of three waited to be seated for five minutes. Bus boys were coming up telling them tables were cleared and ready but they were so disorganized. At least say "we'll be right with you" instead of ignoring your customers. Sadly, the experience here was short-lived. Walked in during a non-busy moment (no wait time), and the hostess sat us (a party of 2), at a high table. Both of us are short people, one of us having a leg injury that doesn't allow them to jump on the high-stool. We asked if there was any way we could move to a booth that's lower, which they didn't even try to accommodate, just said they couldn't sit us anywhere else despite having open seats. Now, before anybody thinks that that's not how restaurants work; we both worked in multiple restaurants, and I as a hostess for many years. If I was in this situation as a hostess, I would have asked if whichever server would mind taking a party of 2. The person in my party, felt embarrassed attempting to jump on the high-seat so we just left. I absolutely loved the location off of capital blvd. This location however - thumbs down. Please do not try to visit here on the late night for food. There was one waitress taking orders, serving and bartending. Our food was cold when it came out and some of the orders were wrong. This was after we waiting about 45minutes for our food. There was a drunk guy who know one of the staff members; they kept serving him and he was clearly in bad shape. I do however love the atmosphere inside. This locations looks like a top stop for watching sports games during the week and the weekend. It's in a great location. I will have to give them another chance and try to visit during peak hours. Visited on a previous Saturday evening not being sure if we wanted to visit for a cocktail & appetizer or stay for dinner. We were leaning toward steak but decided to have a cocktail make a decision while we took a look at the menu. My first impression is the hostess stand is set up In an awkward location at the door. Customers enter on the right but the stand is on the left side and this creates an awkward congestion pattern with customers leaving, entering and those waiting at the door. Even the hostesses looked a bit confused trying to figure out who was trying to approach to be seated. We sat at the bar and had a cocktail while we looked at the menu. The menu was the usual menu with apps, sandwiches, pizza, wings, etc. We ordered the naked wings in habanero lime and decided to go elsewhere for a steak. The bartender was nice and helpful with questions about the wing sauces. I liked that the wings came with carrots and celery without an extra charge. Many places don't offer both veggies anymore. For the time in the evening the bar and restaurant was not very crowded but little was happening with sports that night. This was nice because it was not overly loud and easier to have a conversation. The restaurant is very clean and does have a nice setup with TVs so I would come back to watch a game if I were in the area. read more

I also had their Memphis Mac 'n' Cheese, which I could not find explained in the menu (but may have overlooked) but apparently, it comes as a side or as (roughly double the size) meal. It's Mac 'n' Cheese with pulled pork BBW, bacon and a few other odds and ends cooked in. It was actually tastier than it looked and would probably make a great hangover recovery snack. The food was good today. It is fairly consistent in the times we have frequented this location. We like the express pay through the app as this made things much faster. Wife had chicken tenders and portion size was adequate. I had the bacon cheddar burger. The burger was cooked well just lack some seasoning. Service was slow when placing order. If you're looking for a watering hole, this place is probably more than ideal - dozens (yes, really) of TVs and a full bar. The food is pretty standard bar fare, maybe a tad better. We had cheese fries and spinach and artichoke dip for appetizers. One person got a pizza and liked it very much and I got the baked ziti. It could have used more seasoning, but the little garlic toasts were good. The salad was nothing to write home about. Iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and more croutons than the law should allow. The other person in our party felt ambitious and took the challenge of eating 10 wings in "Ludicrous" sauce. He went through five phases of ultimate death but finally made it. He was the first to get his name on a board that doesn't even exist yet! And he was presented with a free tee shirt. About 3 years ago, my wife, daughter and I moved to Clayton. We would go out a good amount and had visited here 3 or 4 times a year at least. Food was pretty decent and it is always a good sports atmosphere. In general, I thought it was a pretty good place. There was a time or two where I had small issues with the waiters or waitresses forgetting to change the channel to a game that was on that I wanted to watch while we were there, but I just chalked it up to dumb folks or "they were just so busy that they forgot." I never pressed the issue after asking the first time. On 12/22, after my daughters ice hockey game, we had some friends in town and wanted to grab lunch. We suggested Buffalo Brothers. In total, our party was 6 and we arrived around 12:05pm on a Sunday. At that time, my favorite EPL team was playing (match started at at 11:30am or so ET) and I caught a glimpse of it as we were being seated. The match was on at the bar but they sat us on the right side in front of about 6 TV's. None of which had the match on. "No biggie," I thought. Just ask the waiter when he comes back from our drink orders. The waiter ended up making a mistake on the drink order for one of my friends (he asked for a Guinness and someone had to come back and ask if he wanted a "chemist"?) So I figured, maybe the waiter isn't the best person to ask. I asked him anyway. He said "I'll see what I can do". About 10 mins later, nothing, so I politely got up and ask the hostess. She was a nice young lady, couldn't have been more than 25 years old. I asked if she could change one of the TVs to the match. I pointed out that one of the 6 TVs in front of us had on the exact same thing and asked if she could change that one. And this is where it goes horribly wrong in my eyes... This nice lady proceeded to tell me without a smile or a "sorry" that "this is just how it is on a Sunday and we are not allowed to change the channel so you're going to have to deal with it. NFL comes on in awhile and we aren't allowed to change the channels." Looking at my watch, it was 12:25 by that time. I said "NFL doesn't come on for another 35 minutes and the match will be close to over by then. You can't request that one of the TVs be changed? I mean, I'm a customer asking for it to be changed." And again, "No, it doesn't work that way on Sundays. Saturdays we may be able to change the channel but Sundays are for the NFL and we can't change the channel." I was clearly irate and just about that time the waiter came back to our table. He reiterated what the hostess said but realized he better be nicer about it because his tip was at stake. The hostess didn't give a damn and treated me as such. Twice I asked for a manager, once to the hostess and once to the waiter. No manager came to see me. Just after 1pm as we were eating lunch at the NFL games came on, a waiter came around asking if we were watching the Browns vs. Ravens game. We said no, and he continued to ask the other tables if they were. As he walked away, I asked him why he was asking and if that meant they were going to change the channel for me. He said "no, someone else wants another NFL game." We left around 1:30pm after eating. As we were leaving, I asked the person who brought our drinks to the table if a manager was there. She spoke up proudly and said that she was the manager. I'm going to assume that her name was "Josiphia" because that was the name on our bill since our waiter was a guy and he appeared to be new. Either way, I explained to the manager the situation and said that it was really bad service that nobody cared about what I wanted to watch. If we could have watched the match, I'm sure we would have stayed for another round or two of drinks. I said a bunch of things in anger as I was leaving because of her defiance. She tried to make me feel better by saying "Merry Christmas" as I walked out the door. lol. I can tell... This place does not have employees that are enabled to make a good experience for the customer. If you want to watch NFL or any other sport, make sure you know the schedule or request to sit where you need to in order to see the game you want. I mean really... The goal of having the NFL on is to make customers happy. Not to be a dictator and not change channels for the customers that are paying you. I will not be taking the family back to this restaurant.
