First, thanks to the reviewers before me for guiding me here for breakfast while passing through town. Excellent, just the breakfast I look for while on a long road trip. The buffalo chip skillet is fantastic, but when they offer you your choice of bread.... do yourself a favor and get the homemade biscuit with homemade jelly!!! Awesome!! Pretty sure its the best biscuit I've ever had, and I lived in the South for a number of years.... And for barely $10 with coffee!! I sat at the bar and the service was fantastic. The waitress even let me plug in my dead cellphone behind the counter as I stuffed my face. Both my water and coffee stayed full, even though the place was fairly busy with locals talking weather... This place is what breakfast is all about. If you go through Twin Falls and skip this gem for one of the chain places, shame shame shame... read more

One of the BEST places in town to eat! The food is delicous! I had the Biscuits and gravy with a side of Bacon. The Biscuits melt in your mouth, and the Bacon was cooked to perfection. The restaurant is clean and the service is a 5 Star. I would recommend it to anyone, and defiantly would take out of towners to! read more

This is a good, solid out of the way local diner. Several of the items were very good...pancakes, homemade blackberry jam, ham steak, homemade hash browns, homemade biscuit. The rest good fare (sourdough French toast, omelet, bacon). Decor and size are a little rough. Service very good. Coffee a little cook on a couple of the refills. What a great place. It's homey and welcoming. The waitress was awesome. I haven't been called 'sis' and 'lady bug' and 'huckleberry' so many times maybe ever (which is fabulous). The food was good and there was plenty of it. We both had the chicken fried steak. My steak was on the salty side, but I tend to think that about a lot of restaurant food. The biscuit was really light and butter milky and the blueberry muffin was good (bran based though). I would highly recommend. read more

My son and his family moved to Twin Falls a while back and while visiting I went on the hunt for a great down to earth home grown breakfast spot, I drove by the Buffalo Cafe, and told my kids we needed to go there. I have a favorite place near my home and the minute I walked in I felt at home. There was local Law enforcement having breakfast (usually a good sign) and lot's of locals of all ages, I loved it. The service was great, and the food matched the great service. read more

I love this place! They are my favorite lunch joint. Their homemade soup is delightful and delicious. I have tasted several different kinds and I have loved them all. The loaded fries are incredibly tasty and gluttonous. My only complaint is that they close at 2:00. This is my favorite restaurant in Twin Falls. read more

As a local I'd say it's the favorite in Twin Falls for breakfast. A good lunch menu as well. Definitely in the "run-down" part of town, but staff is friendly. Food is yummy. Buffalo Chips for breakfast and the homemade turkey noodle soup for lunch are my two favorites. read more

A Twins Falls local recommended that we get breakfast here on a recent trip to Twin Falls i made with my wife, and boy am I glad we did. The food was excellent...stick to your ribs comfort food. The best place for breakfast if you are in Twin. It is a local tradition, so don't go here expecting chain restaurant decorations or tutti-fruity food. The Buffalo serves stick to your ribs, comfort food. I usually get an omelet or pancakes, but anything you order will be great! read more

A lot of people in town recommend this place for breakfast, but it isn't great. Servers are nice but the atmosphere and food suck. It's dark and tables are sticky. Prices are more expensive then other breakfast places in town too. I had a homefry scramble with peppers, and the cheese was super oily. I was surprised at how little flavor the dish had seeing as how it's full of peppers and spices, (supposedly). Super bland. I had a biscuit on the side and It was very chewy, like bubblegum chewy. I think if they focused on making the biscuits taste good instead of trying to impress you with the large size, they'd be much better. Lastly, their homemade jam was runny. More like the consistency of syrup. It's definitely a favorite of the locals, but if you're from a bigger city with better food options, you won't like this place. read more

First time I came here was in '85, had a massive chorizo omelette loaded with sour cream and cheese; luckily I was only 24 at the time and survived it. Today, the meals are toned down a bit, but still worth the wait in the doorway, trying to guess which table will open up next. If your looking for a little local favorite, this is it. read more

Very good breakfast!!! My favorite thing there is the pancakes. So fluffy and huge! You won't go home hungry if you go there.

I was more than satisfied with my breakfast, but the great service put it over the top for me. I truly appreciate a friendly and attentive server. There are only 13 tables in this tiny place. I definitely would not recommend it for a group. I think their largest table seated 5 people, so if you are in a group that is larger I would recommend being ok with being split up at different tables. I believe there were about 4 or so counter seats as well. I had the "mini" Idaho omelet with potatoes and the homemade peach jam. Everything was delicious and the kid portions were not over the top either. I would definitely go back again if I am ever in the area again. It is in a bit of a weird location that makes me think the building used to be a mechanic shop or something like that, but that seems to add to its "rustic" charm. read more

The huevos rancheros were OUTSTANDING. I would definitely recommend that. They have this blackberry jam that you can choose to come with a huge biscuit, and it is the best blackberry jam I've ever had. We had to buy the largest jar to take home. Service was fantastic (Thank you Peggy!) and it's a great place for kids. Too bad we live so far away, but we will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again! read more

The buffalo Cafe is my one of my favorite places for breakfast. If you want to have one of the best omelets in town, check it out. For lighter eaters, you can order a smaller portion. The service is friendly, and the environment is casual. Think down-home atmosphere. If you go, live it up and consider trying the buffalo burger. read more
