Good food, wish they baked the biscuits about 5 minutes more, they still have a doughy mouth feel in the middle, and the bottom seems undercooked. The pack the patrons in, and you feel like you're eating with everyone. Don't get me wrong, close is fine, but there is ALWAYS someone loud there so you can't really hear your own table. I found Buffalo Cafe through Yelp, and also had a new friend say it was pretty good, so we went on one of Hubs' days off. It was decent, but nothing blew me away. My daughter (4) had a good time coloring and looking at everyone's colorings on the wall. The menu is decent sized, not too small andnnotnso big you feel like there are just too many options. Service was great. Friendly, professional, prompt. Our daughter even enjoyed talking some (she can be very "stranger danger" shy). The place was small, but mot cramped. Appeared clean, though also had a bit of an old feel to it (nothing wrong with that!). We might go there again, but it didn't really wow us, so it would probably be a while. read more

We were in town over the Christmas/New Year's holiday. We had breakfast here twice - it was that good. I got the buffalo chip both days, first day the 'regular' size ( huge) and the second day the smaller size (manageable). It was prepared perfectly both days. Service was friendly and excellent. This place is nothing fancy on the outside. Complete hole in the wall vibe. But the food was fabulous. Servers were super friendly and attentive. The food came out quick. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Super yummy, the potatoes were cooked perfectly, and the biscuit was amazing. Hubby got bacon and eggs. He loved it. My son opted for chicken fingers and fries. I of course stole a fry and can attest to their deliciousness as well. Highly recommend stopping by this hidden gem. read more

Giving it 5 stars for the housemade strawberry and peach jam alone! I ordered a "small"l biscuits and gravy and added an egg on top. My hubby had a short stack of generously laden fresh blueberry pancakes. They are HUGE! How do I begin? My husband and I stopped here in 2015, thanks to a misguided attempt to find some food on our cross country drive. For whatever reason, I didn't leave a review last time, but it was delicious enough for us to decide that for this year's painfully long drive, we would stop overnight in Twin Falls JUST so we could have breakfast at The Buffalo Cafe. Everything about this place is 5 star-worthy (unless you are concerned with fancy decor in an old school diner). Service was excellent, food came out quickly , and it was amazing! Portions are huge (we both had the half orders and we are stuffed!), and the prices are very reasonable ($6.95 a plate?!) You can write home about the biscuits and homemade blackberry jam, we had the buffalo chip and a tortilla filled EXCELLENT chile verde, topped with an egg, loads of cheese, sour cream and a side of beans (it was a weekday special, think it was called the New Mexico Style eggs or something similar). Wow, love this place! Good old fashioned local diner with 2 counters, squeezed in tables, wooden walls and super friendly staff. We stopped for breakfast on our way home. I really had low expectations for this place because every previous restaurant I tried in Twin was pretty awful even the "nicer" ones BUT this place was actually quite amazing. I missed my flight earlier in the day, had time for breakfast so stopped in. Even the iced tea (unsweetened) was friggen good! I ordered the buffalo chip with their homemade biscuit and strawberry jam and hooollly shit was it sooo delicious!!! You can truly tell everything is homemade. I mean I don't even like jam but I liked this one and ate it all up. The servers were super sweet and personable with engaging conversation. we moved to idaho and found a great atmosphere, great food and great service at Buffalo....the food changed drastically just recently....eggs not cooked...omelets half raw....burned or half raw pancakes...half portions when we ordered full (it seems the cook was being trained as they worked)...and then when we went in this weekend, we found the weekend menu changed so that a number of things were not available...we finally figured out the new kitchen help couldn't handle the number of requests...so the menu was cut. TF is a small town...word gets around...when the owners were looking for a new cook after Angie left (Food Maestro Excellence!!), the proven cooks who applied could not work for what they were offered.... Breakfast is our main meal...and we're willing to pay for privilege of eating out...but not when the menu has been cut back so the kitchen staff can handle the orders.... I address this to all businesses that have changed their hours for COVID. The virus does not wake up or go to bed at specific times so changing your schedule only makes sense if you're doing it due to reduced traffic. The fastest way to really piss off potential and existing customers is to not update your hours on Google, Yelp, etc. It looks like your food is really good but I'll never know. I drove considerably out of my way to come and eat at your restaurant after looking up your hours online. You were closed so we defaulted to Abracadabra. We were very annoyed at the time we wasted. We waited 1 1/2 hours for marginal food, then when it came, we had to ask for silverware, jam, water. All requests were met with a low energy and annoyance. Popped in for a quick breakfast after not being able to find a hotel room from Ontario, OR to Twin Falls!! Seriously, not a single room (hotel, motel, nor Holiday Inn) available for almost 200 miles. Finally scored a bed in Twin Falls. Anyway, Yelp delivers again. Buffalo Cafe is a great hole in the wall that has excellent food. It does have a bit of a locals-only vibe but that is where you get the best eats. I had Huevos Rancheros and the substituted a gigantic blueberry pancake for flour tortillas that normally come with it. Seriously, 1 pancake is as big as my head. I will usually clean my plate, but I couldn't, I tried. My partner in crime had a "mini" veggie omelette. Buffalo Cafe's "mini" is others regular. She couldn't finish it all. The Huevos were excellent, just enough warmth to keep it interesting but not so much that it was inedible. Report is that the omelette was top notch too. Wow what a diamond in the rough! The wonderful server Lindsay was so good, friendly, outgoing and made great suggestions! I had a patty melt and garden salad, my friend had a buffalo burger and fries. We were both so please, every bite was eaten!
