Immediately upon entering the cafe we were greeted by I believe a lady named "Lindsay". Her personality is on fire! The interior made me feel like I was visiting my grandma, that warm comforting feeling. To top it off our waitress (Lindsay) made us feel like we were family. It felt like we had known each other for years because of her kind and enduring spirit. I was called "sis" and mike was called "brother bear", could it get any better? She sat and walked us through the menu which was easy to navigate but offered mouth watering morsels only you could dream of! On to the food. We ordered one full platter of the "buffalo chips", Lindsay suggested it so of course we were going to try the platter they were so well known for! A layer of sliced potatoes, green chili, sour cream, bacon bits, cheese galore and then your choice of two eggs on top. Mouth watering much? We polished puppy off like no other. Very popular place with limited seating so we had to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated. I ordered the Buffalo Chip since many had reviewed it and liked it. Also, it looked amazing. Well, looks can be deceiving! This a hidden gem. This place was outstanding. Simple menu, great staff and food was amazing! It is obvious that this is a local hangout. City Slicker Finds Love in Local Diner - Ah...where do I start?! Their jam is homemade and delicious (peach is my favorite). This place is NOT fancy at all. It looks like most things are cooked in a cast iron skillet. The portions are huge. It isn't healthy but things are not cooked in a ton of oil like other places. If you don't want butter on your toast you need to ask for it. If these things don't scare you then you MUST VISIT when traveling through Twin Falls, Idaho. It has character, charm and delicious diner-style breakfast. I'll definitely go back next time we are in the area. Traveled from Boise to meet my dad for lunch in Twin and had high hopes for this place based on the reviews I read. We all ultimately left disappointed. It wasn't horrible but not very good. Edible. The chili verde breakfast dish was bland and mushy, packed flavor and while we could clearly see green chilis we couldn't taste them. Kids grilled cheese was very dark, almost burnt. Like I said, we went in expecting a decent experience but nothing got us there. I'm happy to say the customer service was good though. read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside, either. The décor inside is rustic but attractive and the restaurant is very clean. The food and the service are awesome! The servers are friendly, fast and efficient. My wife had a half stack of pancakes with two eggs. The pancakes were delicious, the syrups were excellent, and the eggs fresh and prepared perfectly. I had the "Sawtooth" omelette with bacon, avocado and blue cheese. It was one of the best omelettes I ever had! The omelette was huge, with almost an entire, ripe avocado inside. Found this local cafe on Yelp. I would have never found it based on its location and would never had stopped seeing it on a drive by. It's just a little local cafe but there was a line at 11am on a Friday. The waitress was friendly and helped me decide on the chicken fried steak and eggs, by saying I could get pancakes and bacon anywhere that they double tenderize and fresh bread in restaurant. Best decision I made. The food was excellent, I sat longer then normal so that I could eat more. The blackberry jam was delicious and the eggs must be farm fresh. Lots of avocados and the homemade salsa was a perfect compliment. The biscuit was yummy but the homemade blackberry jam...AMAZING!! Other folks had the Denver Omelet, pancakes and French toast and said they tasted great. Bacon cooked to order which is nice. My only improvement would be to cook the potatoes a bit more but they were tasty and freshly diced. I would definitely come back. Oh..my son had the strawberry jam...also delicious. I went here from a suggestion from the Traveling Spud blog and loved it. My friend and I went to see the Shoshone Falls light show the night before and we were ready for a good hearty breakfast, boy we were not disappointed. It is a place that from the outside it kind of looks like any small town diner and the inside matches with its quirky decor and of course their buffalo overlooking the whole place, but the food and service was impeccable.
