Lo and behold, we found a decorated storage unit for nazism and miscellaneous BS. While the questionable "art" alone didn't bother us much, whoever was creeping around us, the person who I assume is the owner, did. It's a shame, because before we had the opportunity to acknowledge that this wasn't a place we should be in, we did find some items that were amusing, a couple of which we were prepared to buy. However, when one of my friends tried to compliment an item he had taken an interest in to initiate conversation with the employee/owner, mostly to break the eerie tension that only came from him staring at us silently from the other room, the owner/employee ignored him, only ever breaking his silence a minute later to bluntly tell the aforementioned friend to put an item down. After about 15 more seconds of receiving stares from this old man, feeling like we might become murder victims, we left, hearing the dead bolt lock behind us. I even brought a pair of name brand shoes that I've only worn once that cost over $250 easy. The cashier offered to buy them for $10 and hit me with the line all shady thrift stores and pawn shops say "this isn't what we are looking for but if you want we can buy it a low price" knowing full well they would turn around and sell it close to retail if I sold the sneakers to the store. Not only that, but I've seen the quality of their items, especially with the clothing selection and its always lacking except for indie brands they mix in with the other clothes and sell which are extremely over priced. Its a cool store to browse around and waste time in while walking around Deep Ellum drunk on a weekend, but that's all I can recommend because the store is a waste of time. There are plenty of online shops and resellers holding on to better items, and apps like Depop to sell your items at reasonable price.

Let me start off by saying,I don't yelp often, and so when I do yelp, it means someone has blown my mind and expectations with wonderful, pure and ecstatic happiness, and has impressed me so much that I feel I cannot continue existing in this world without sharing with my fellow human kind in order to spread the goodness all around. OR...it is because someone has undoubtably done me so very wrong, on every level, from top to bottom to sideways to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dimensions, that I feel I would certainly fail my comrades in life if I chose to not share such an agregiuos assault upon myself by this person, often representing a larger company, store, etc... And so, today I write about what I felt to be a total and utterly shameful series of events at Buffalo Exchange in Dallas. Note: My regular Buffalo Echange is in Austin, and I can't say enough glowing things about that team-holla Austin BE! Lucy, Kat, and all you other amazing women and men who without, Buffalo Exchange Austin just wouldn't be the same. Back to the literal CRIME at hand at Buffalo Exchange Dallas. I was driving through the Dallas area and decided to try out this Buffalo Exchange on my way up to New York City, where again, like in Austin, the Buffalo Exchange Manhattan rocks! Back to Dallas , I bring in about 4 boxes, 1 large duffel, and two smaller bags. I put the belongings that would fit on the table onto the table as the woman began to sort. I would take items away and put them back into their bags as she continuously rejected just about everything. That doesn't even matter. So, as you can imagine, there were clothes and bags/boxes abound and around me. At some point, another customer perhaps or an employee (this is my theory as to what happened as there is no other possible scenario-I am not clear WHO stole my Jimmy Choo's) came up to my bag as I dealt with either putting rejected clothes away, or pulling out more soon to be rejected clothes to pile up onto the counter, and stole my gold gladiator Jimmy Choo's, NEW, like $800 new, and walked out the door or wherever with my shoes. As appalling as this is, one would think the employees, including the manager who was standing right there, not actually doing anything as far as I could tell, should pay more attention to what's going on around them in the store than gossiping and giggling quietly amongst themselves. To add insult to injury, I was told that they would have to review the tapes which "could take awhile." God help us if these tapes don't even exist. "How long?" I ask, holding back tears, thinking this is like a kidnapping of sorts, on a much less important level of course, but the longer it takes to review the footage, the smaller the chances of recovering MY JIMMY CHOO'S would be. They didn't know. They avoided making eye contact with me. They avoided telling me anything at all really. Instead, I was promised a call back later that day. Guess what? No call. Duh. I could've guessed that, I expected crickets actually. Now it's today and I wonder if they will call. Maybe. Probably only because of this yelp. Maybe I am overreacting but I don't think so. It's your store, Buffalo Exchange. It's your responsibility to offer a safe environment for clients to sell YOU their items. Obviously your own loss retinitis goals or whatever it's called are important. But what about me? The person who provides you with the Jimmy Choo's, the Madewell, The Haute Hippie, The Elizabeth and James, etc, etc, etc....what is your company policy on protecting me, and reimbursing me, and doing what you said-like calling me? I am so beyond anything but a fire in my gut, rage towards your store, and the sadness that because of your lousy and poorly managed store, my beautiful Jimmy Choo's are long gone. Either way, I am going to file a police report and figure out what happened here. It's absolutely not fair to me, or any of your clients. In the meantime Buffalo Dallas, get it together. follow through even if it's just to say you don't know anything yet but you expect around 7 pm tonight or whatever it is, communicate and make it right. It's gross I have to even go to such great lengths for a lousy phone call. Because you know what? That's not gonna cut it. I want my shoes back. They were in your possession while you went through my items to buy and you allowed them to walk off. Make it right. I am rooting for you Buffalo Dallas. read more

Let me start off by saying that I have been a loyal customer for years. However I have noticed a concerning pattern in their poor business practices as well as watching really excellent staff come and go so quickly. I came to sell a while back (around September)and since then I have thought about my experience there and done some research into the company. I was excited to see that they had several protocols in place in order to sell. I made my appointment and brought in my quarantined 50 items and was excited about the idea of getting my payment through paypal. However I noticed that there was another seller that had come in without an appointment and clearly had not followed the quarantine process. I witnessed discomfort on the employee's face regarding the lack of quarantine and then I watched the buyer talk to their manager (The manager was short with natural hair and boots, I asked for her name...I believe it started with a J). The manager then made that buyer go through the clothing, they did not have gloves and they did not inform him about the need for appointments. I felt really uncomfortable because I trusted that they were taking the pandemic seriously, I did what I should have and their own management showed clear disregard for their employees as well as their customers because those clothes were not quarantined!! I was so shocked, I then did some research on the company and it turns out that the company has been outed for promoting r*cism through their "loss prevention" tactics as well as having recently had a key business partner be outed for 20+ years of s*xual misconduct. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. YOU ARE SUPPORTING SUPPR*SSION, R*CISM AND S*XUAL MISCONDUCT. These people are dis*usting and I hope that they take a good look at themselves. I have witnessed many talented employees at the Dallas location disappear over time. When I've asked about those people no longer being there I always get round about answers. It's like they're trying to cover everything up to save face. Don't support this company, I know I will never again. read more

GO TO DOLLY PYTHON. The Buffalo Exchange sale's associates need not dress in Lady GaGa inspired garbage and behave as though you are an idiot for inquiring into why the cost of something is so inflated. This associate could barely walk, her heels were so high. Her back must really hurt after about an hour at work, which might explain why her face was so wrinkled into a grimmace and her attitude so sour, but it could have been the smugness of being so bombarded with (URGH,...A CUSTOMER) and having the job of speaking to someone like me who obviously cannot fathom why a thin, used and (non-vintage) sweater could cost nearly $40. Are there actually vintage clothes here or do they equate "a trendy hipster once wore this" with the title of vintage? While not all employees act as though fashion has it's 10' dildo rammed up thier glittery-spandexed asses, they will rip you a new asshole when it comes to buying your clothing. Do not expect them to explain whilst salivating over your clothes like rabid dogs that the dollar signs they just spit out at you are about 70% more than the cash you will walk away with in exchange for your items. That's why they have a seperate person dispense the money to you because it is substantially less than the numbers given to you. When you say, "Wait, wait,...she told me $100" they look at you and question whether or not you're being honest when you say they never explained their policy to you. THEY SUCK DOG BALLS. I parked only for few min to pick up my stuff the story is i called the store 2 times before i go to make sure they are taking all the style all the brand and the girl over the phone she confirm that i bring 2 big bags i drove 45min one way when i went there couldn't find parking and i had to park cross street then she didn't even look to the most of my stuff i drove that much and waste my time for selling just $13 didn't even look to the jewelry not waste your time with this place i sold most of my stuff on 5mile or offerup better then this. This place is great. Fun clothes, and almost everything I wear comes from here! BUT the people aren't too friendly. I always try to get someone to help me, but no one seems to want to move from behing their desk =/ Also, I feel that some of the clothes are a little over-priced and everything seems to be something out of Jersey Shore. Every once in a while, i'll find something I like or that I can alter. All-in-all this place is fabulous and not fabulous all at the same time. It's definitely worth it since I live a few blocks away, but if you live far, don't worry about showing up. You'll probably leave empty handed. read more

Dirty Hipster alert!! Where good fashion goes to die. It seems my old, Nordstrom, gap and banana republic cloths are not wanted at the hipster grand central station. I believe if I were attempting to sell a civil war era vest, jhorts and a set of bad tattoos I would have more luck. There are huge choice of garments, both for ladies and men. The store is extremely efficient by style or potentially shading, so it's truly simple to browse. I feel the store truly thinks about the things showed, so you can discover a lot of wearable garments in a decent condition! I have to say that the one in Austin has a bigger selection and they also seem to have more clothes that fit my style and taste. There was so much wear on since of the bottoms of the shoes (size 11 specifically) that it was odd how they were even selected to be sold here. This may be because of limited inventory at the time, but the price seemed inflated considering the condition of some of these items. I wish they had a better selection of size xl and up but again, they're at the mercy of the inventory that they receive. Still, I managed to get a nice pair of Mignonne Gavigan earrings so I'm pleased.

Disappointed and Frustrated - Proceed with Caution…read more I purchased a handbag from this company believing in their promise to only sell authentic designer pieces. Unfortunately, the bag I received turned out to be a counterfeit. When I contacted them, I was told that they stand behind their team and saw no issues with this bag so I had to pay to have it confirmed as a fake before they would even consider a return. This added unnecessary time, stress, and an out-of-pocket expense--all because they failed to verify the product's authenticity before selling it. Even after I submitted official documentation confirming it was a fake, they said they have to get approval to reimburse me for the authentication fee, which is extremely disappointing. They still stand behind the authenticity of this bag. I'm also waiting for my refund of the bag that they say is with accounting. Had they handled this differently, I wouldn't have put this on review platforms. A company that claims authenticity should take full responsibility when they get it wrong. Buyers beware--if something goes wrong, you may be stuck footing the bill just to prove it or be left with a fake bag!

Well.. all I can pass on is what my experience with Erin and A&A was. I have a set of two vintage…read moremod Milo Baughman Cantilevered sled chairs for Directional with ottoman in immaculate condition, redone with bright heavy chrome frames and grey shorn velvet ...I'll include a pic. I sent an inquiry to A&A and received a very enthusiastic reply saying my chairs were great and as soon as I agreed , she would send over the consignment form. Pretty standard. 50/50 split, but if she sells them online she charges you the consignor another $100 fee. But oh and you have to deliver the pieces to them. They have no delivery or pickup infrastructure in place. What kind of furniture store doesn't deliver ??? I explained in email that my chairs will not fit in either of our vehicles ( and I will not crush them in to make them fit ) and I got ... crickets. No further replies. This store wants no hassles , just bring them the stuff, then they rob you of half the value plus and then make the buyers pick up! Crazy. Plus the quality of items they sell is questionable at best. See a photo of these formica hexagon tables that are chipped dirty and frankly look sourced from a thrift store. So given that they want nothing to do with handling their stock ( my stock essentially ) why would I entrust my chairs to them? Since writing this Erin has sent two emails to get me to change my review.
