Buffalo Exchange is definitely a step above typical thrift stores like Goodwill in terms of product quality and prices. There are some good finds if you come here often and are patient to look through the racks of clothing which change daily. You can occasionally find a diamond in the rough if you are persistent enough. In my experience they don't really offer much for your used clothes and you are probably better off selling on Poshmark or the like, but if you need cash now, Buffalo can't be beat. They offer 30% cash value or 50% store credit on any item they purchase. Unfortunately, the store definitely has a musty/moldy smell to it when you walk through the doors. They don't wash any of the used clothes they buy and their employees aren't the best at screening out smelly or even ripped clothing so buyer beware. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I come here to sell my clothes, to which, they don't tend to buy cuz it's out of season or not "on trend.." Mind you, I have a lot of Ben Sherman, Zara and unworn shoes. Then, when I shop in there, I look at items they do sell, and think "wtffff, this is 'on trend.'" lol Yet, I tend to leave with more clothes than I came withhhh =9999 And that's a problem when I'm trying to get rid of clothes I don't need. Then again, that's what shopping is about -_- The quality of their inventory is quite nice. Most items I've tried on weren't too faded, had no holes, and even the shoes are usually lightly worn items. I, actually, love their men's items because I've seen lots of 90's inspired looks and love the oversized fits. My latest find there was a men's Golden State Warriors windbreaker jacket. read more

this store used to be one of my go to places to buy clothes but as of recently I fear they completely fallen off, I've went up there with really good pieces and they turned me down for very lousy reasons. I've had a buyer look at one of my pieces and go in an icky tone "I mean..I guess they're fun to play with" (the piece were $100+ steel heels) and on top of that now the store is just full of cheap fast fashion. i will say shout out their worker Alyssa she's this cute girl with glasses and like a swooped bob? she puts a smile on my face whenever shes there and i love seeing her! also shout out to this one guy i dont know his name but he's a bigger Asian guy with really cool patch work pants he's also very nice! read more

Organized well. Found a Louise Vuitton dress for 30 Bucks. Solid thrifting and the stores in a 2 block radius were great. Arts district is a nice way to break up the Vegas strip. For sure. Walked to Priscilla flower gallery and the staff were so welcoming and The Conrad west gallery was epic. Amazing work, knowledgeable staff. read more

The most arrogant business model in the industry. No limits on what a seller can bring in. The last two trips, after I paid to park, I walked out. They accepted a seller with (10) 30 gallon garbage bags. 3 employees processing the buy while 7 customers with a reasonable amount of items waited. Absolutely a waste of your time. read more

Wasted my time trying to sell my clothes here. ): My first experience was fun, the one helping me at the time was so helpful would explain why she didn't take something and gave a good amount for all of my items. This time around they accepted barely anything which is understandable I did not take it to offense but the customer service was just so not there. I just automatically got mean girl energy right away from the staff members, got lots of stares from the staff just overall not my best experience here. Brought in some clothes to sell today. As a lot of what I brought in was not taken (which was fine by me) the lack of professionalism that all these young employees portray baffles me. I work in the service industry on the Strip and the side conversations while "helping" me was annoying. I feel like these employees are more interested in what they can snag for themselves instead of actually helping people. Merchandise seems to change as the store is usually busy. Not a lot of accessories but still worth a look The shoes here ROCK and that's a must shop especially in Las Vegas you will find some cool finds Staff is always dressed awesome and they might help you:) but check out their style for inspiration! We love going to Buffalo exchange we go to the one all the time in Ventura California and it's the second one we've ever been to and this one was pretty loaded with a lot of vintage clothes and a lot of high-end clothes that we can could get our hands on for really cheap really nice and clean it's in downtown Vegas which is off the strip which is good and less hustling bustle definitely will go back next time we come read more

I have to rewrite this since the store flagged my other review. I bought a pair of shoes and asked the employee what the return policy was. He told me 3 days, need the reciept and all the tags on them for a refund. The shoes had a stain on them so I wasn't sure if I was going to keep them. So I came back 2 days later to return them because I changed my mind. The cashier was nice until she told me the refund was store credit. I said I don't want $60 in store credit and the employee never mentioned store credit when I bought them and asked about the policy. The cashier got an attitude with me and I asked for the manager. Oh man let me tell you the attitudes on these employees. Monica came over and I explained the situation and she was so nasty! I've never met someone so rude for no reason. She gave me the hardest time . She asked me who told me that return policy and when I described what he looked like she said they had no one there that met the description that worked there. I said you don't have a young white male employee? She said they do and I said well you can see the time and date I was here if you wanna .. and she rudly interpreted me to tell me she's not going to pull the cameras right now. I told her I never asked her to do that and if she let me finish I was going to say later she can see who was staffed. Monica was so mean and nasty to me for no reason and basically called me a liar. She asked why I was returning the shoes and I said I didn't end up liking them and she was so rude and said " so you bought shoes you don't like ?" And I just looked at her because I don't know what made her such a miserable human to treat another person this way. I will never shop here again. The best sell, buy, and trade clothing store in Vegas! The location is in the arts district, a cool area of town, however the parking can be tough, especially if you are carrying multiple bags to sell (or if you bought multiple bags!!). There is a parking lot nearby though that you can park in for a modest price or if you are lucky, you'll find street parking (note: there are parking meters). You can bring as many bags in as you'd like each visit and the buyers will go through your items with you (usually telling you the stuff they like and I then I wish I brought stuff I left at home too, haha). They are always really upbeat and fun and a pleasure to work with. Once they decide what they'd like to buy, you can either get cash or store credit (they always give more if you taken the store credit)! They seem to take (and sell) a lot of unique things. Sometimes I'll have things they like and they tell me they just have too much in inventory at the moment, so I'll hold onto the item for the next time I go in (and more times then not, they are restocking inventory and can use the item). I really like this resale shop, in addition to their unique items, what really makes the difference is their customer service, upbeat, fun attitudes. It's a fun atmosphere/environment in there, whether you are buying or selling! Definitely recommend! read more

If, I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have been there a few times over a years period and have sold DESIGNER clothes for a decent cash offer. Today, I go in and am greeted by a condescending, 20 something ish male. He proceeds to look through the clothing ( Rag & Bone/ Hudson/ Joe's jeans) and tells me they are not interested in buying midsize jeans & skinny jeans? I'm like " Really" in my head. Out of all of my designer clothing they purchased NONE! This place was a complete WASTE of my time! usually love it here but the younger woman with bleached eyebrows 100% profiled me and my boyfriend while we were shopping. she would not allow us to hold onto our items while shopping around, then aggressively and loudly counted our items as we were trying to leave the dressing rooms. it was embarrassing. absolutely ruined our shopping experience and made us extremely uncomfortable. had great interactions with all other employees but i will probably not be returning after this extremely uncomfortable experience. read more

Brought very nice and impeccable clothing to sell, and it was very laughable at the very low ball offers from them to buy some of the items, and upon looking around the store, most of the stuff looked old, dingy, grungy, but that seems to be what they want. Unfortunately, they have failed to capture many different types of styles and people's taste, and they pass on great clothes. Complete waste of time, will never go back. Store had a very stale and pungent dirty clothing smell. The so called "Buyers" lack fashion expertise and act like they're going you a favor by "looking over" your clothes. read more

First time getting my clothes appraised and I brought clothes I was planning to donate so I didn't mind what the appraisal was. I brought in 24 clothing items ranging from dresses, shirts, skirts, and shorts. Majority were brand new that I bought in Asia 2019 but never ended up wearing outside because of the pandemic but they only ended up taking 1 of the brand new Princess Polly black long sleeve cinched tops, & it was appraised for $26, so since I wanted cash, I got $6.5 (25% of the appraisal) back but if you want store credit it would be $13 (50% of the appraisal). I also brought in 3 brand heels, they took and appraised one of them which was a Fashion nova stiletto for $26. Lastly, three brand new necklaces that were all appraised. The rest of the items I brought were all returned to me. They mainly take vintage and clothes that are in trend similar to those on Instagram and social media. My friend also brought new Zara heels with tag on that she never wore & retailed for $60 but the appraisal was $26 so she would only get $6.5 back in cash. She ended up keeping them instead of getting them appraised because it just wasn't worth it. All in all, this is a great place for thrift shopping and recycling vintage clothes but if your items are brand new, I recommend reselling them or returning them because you will not get a big cash back if that is what you intend when stepping foot in here! read more

I mean I get it.. like they only will take what's stylish. I'm pretty sure at least half the stuff rejected is good stuff... like my stuff! I had real leather purses and nice work blouses that's light enough for the summer. Oh well! I recommend to just take your stuff to Goodwill or Salvation Army or trip to sell it on eBay. I've sold a fair amount of clothes here, but as someone who sells clothes regularly you're better off trying to resell on depop etc. first. I've gotten at most ~40 dollars for a big bag of great brand clothes but it's better then nothing. Secondly, the clothing they sell isn't very great. I love shopping second hand, but I prefer thrifting then going to buffalo. Every once and a blue moon I'll find some pieces, I myself love fashion and know what to look for, but a lot of the clothing is a bit off trend sometimes and not very " vintage" either, you just have to look really closely. read more

Ok well, I'm writing a new review because I jumped the gun and misspoke! First of all when I was there on 01-14-2025 Tuesday, I thought they had purchased more then that so, I got a call today from a very pleasant lady (Tammy) or (Ariana)I'm not sure but, nevertheless she was very polite and wanted to rectify the situation quickly so, that was impressive and I was very happy because I had never had any problems with them over the years! I feel badly now! However, right from the beginning in spite of what I thought incurred, the salesperson Mario and the other helper Prince were both very polite and sweet and funny and all around very nice! It was allllll my misunderstanding! I forget sometimes how expensive everything is now and unfortunately I don't live the 70's and 80's anymore sadly! So, yes overall I recommend this place (Buffalo Exchange) to everyone who has clothing to buy and sell! They are very professional and polite and knowledgeable people there! I've been in here a few times prior to it being moved to this downtown location. I haven't sold at this location, since I am only here visiting. However it's hit or miss in these types of stores, some days you find a bunch of goodies and other days you pretty much browse the store. Staff was super friendly the times I have been in here recently. The only thing I would say, is ask people if they would like to hold their items in the fitting room area before trying on. I had a lot of items in my arm and the only thing they asked me "you finding everything ok?" I had to go up to the girl in the back to hold my stuff for me so I could try on. I used to work at a buffalo, I know the rules they tell you to help the customer have a great experience there. read more

Never have I ever.. I spend so much money in this store and I was treated like a criminal because my card was declined from forgetting to activate it. I asked her (the latin manager) to run it again once I activated it... and the collective minimum wage employees that deserve better (who are kind).. had to endure the caustic conversation between the "manager" who i'm certain has a chip on her shoulder. When I first went to Buffalo Exchange years ago they were much better and fair priced for paying you for your jeans only at that time! Recently, like yesterday 01-14-2025 Tuesday, I brought in several pairs of great condition Levi jeans and top military spec pants and a Gerry ski jacket and miscellaneous jeans, shirts and other items! Some person named Mario?, robbed me out of quite a bit of money I believe! Anyway, it's very disappointing and sadly I recommend that you keep track on a calculator all the items and how much they are going to give you for cash versus store credit because they didn't do to well with me and sadly I trusted them to be above board and fair and honest! Obviously, that was my mistake to not keep track! So, I was taken advantage of! Unfortunately, I was collecting money for my neice who is terminally ill and my great nephew to help them because they are living under the poverty line! So, I can only give them what I can! Had Mario been honest and fair I could have helped them more! So, in other words they are crooks and not as nice as they seem! Beware, and maybe find another place to sell your clothing?! 1. They'll refuse to buy extremely popular designer and street wear brands (even in unworn condition), but when you look through their inventory, it's mostly garbage. Faded clothes from no-name brands that are way overpriced. 2. I understand there's a pandemic, but you can't close your dressing rooms AND have a strict "no returns" policy...you decided to close your dressing rooms, don't punish the customer for that. Many stores have kept their dressing rooms open (with stringent cleaning procedures), so if you've decided to close yours, then the lack of a return policy just doesn't fly. read more

This location is a definite upgrade since they relocated from the UNLV area- bigger store, better selection, attractive storefront. The prices even seemed more reasonable, too. Found several Banana Republic, Michael Kors, Anne Klein, Jeffrey Cambell etc type brands- some with original tags still on them. Appreciated that they had a good amount of work-appropriate items; I'm used to their stock being limited to painfully casual or too-kooky-to-pull-off-in-a-professional-setting. Fourth star is for Clarice- she's a fashionable pixie of an employee, was friendly and helpful throughout my visit, in that genuine way that isn't found often in Vegas. read more
