Really great food! Cheese curds and Wisconsin cheese elk burger were great. Get a large cheese curd if you have two hungry people or any more than two people. The regular crinkle fries could have used more seasoning. I wished I had ordered the potato wedge fries instead. Our servers were friendly and food was brought out promptly. All accommodations were made, including rareness of the meat and toppings. Water and other drinks were refilled quickly as well. I wouldn't recommend the indoor seating if you haven't been fully vaccinated for COVID-19. They definitely tried to separate as much as possible. But once they dinner rush kicked in there were people at the table right beside us. It's definitely noisy inside but not loud enough to deter conversation that much. Outdoor seating looks nice! Loved the food, loved the service, loved the atmosphere. Fine for kids and all ages of adults! The cowboy shoe rootbeer and chocolate milk were hits, as were the gluten free hamburger buns (bread and dessert also available) and the frosted mug for the beer. I have driven by this place a hundred times and finally decided to give it a try. For starters; service was great. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of burgers to choose from including buffalo (of course). I ended up with some buffalo wings and a couple of burgers. Their wings became my #1 favorite buffalo wings hands down, the burgers on the other hand were good but nothing special. Which was to bad because I was really expecting to indulge some awesome burgers, since that is what there menu pretty much consist of. The prices are also a little on the high side considering they serve the food in plastic baskets and give out plastic forks and spoons. I would recommend this place for wings and I will be back for those wings! read more

Haven't been here in a year or two and remembered they had great burgers. I was disappointed with the lack of unique menu options for burgers. The elk and bison are nice options, but no special toppings. The tator tots and sweet potato tots are fantastic, especially the cinnamon dipping sauce that comes with the sweet potato tots. Burgers were cooked well and sides were large portions. The waiting area is far too small and the staff could have been a little friendlier.. the silverware is plastic, which is very odd to me. read more

Sat down and waited approx 15 min before service. Turns out the waiter wasn't informed that we were seated away from the pack. Manager came out and gave us a complimentary appetizer. Always very good. We always stop at BT when we go to Canterbury Park. Great selections of burgers and sandwiches. Crinkle fries are the best. Expect a wait on Friday and Saturday nights. Otherwise this is one of the best burger experiences in the Twin Cities. 4.5 stars. read more

OK, How do you rate spectacular service but OK food? So, this review is really for Dana, our server for lunch on Friday. She was what all service people should be. The restaurant was busy but they had a table for 2 in the corner. She received us told us what table was available and asked us if we would prefer to wait or would want this table. She then asked us for our drink order and bought out our waters right away. She checked on us to see if we were ready to order or if you had any questions. When we ordered the juicy lucy, she educated us that it would take about 25-30 min to get those burgers ready. She kept us informed on where our order was. Once our food came, she educated us on how to eat it. At every point our drinks were always full without us asking or even noticing. Our needs were met without realizing that our needs were met ;) The food- it was OK. The wings were blah!, would not order it again. This is a personal burger and wing favorite. They are very popular and there is good reason for that. Lot's of great selections on the menu. You will definitely find something for everyone. I recommend the bone in wings, the El Diablo Bison Burger and if it's available grab the table next to Credit River. We recently moved to the area from Chicago and Buffalo Tap's wings were highly recommended so we figured we'd try it out. We went on a Friday night so it was busy although the wait was only 20 minutes (not bad). We were shocked to see the massive burger menu. We came for wings though so we ordered wings with 4 different sauces and an order of fries. We sadly were not too impressed by the wings and probably won't get them again. We will come back to try the burgers though. Hopefully the burgers can win us over since we like the vibe of the Buffalo Tap. read more

What is it about the Buffalo Tap that makes it so popular?? Their specialty (wings) is consistently horrible (more like "dried salt lick jerky"), the place is usually a greasy mess, and the service is slow and unreliable. Yet; the parking lot is always JACKED full!?!? I don't get it. I have tried to like this place, honestly, I have. It's so close to my house, it would be super convenient and easy to visit but it's just so awful every time I try, I refuse to go anymore. Don't let the huge number of cars and trucks outside the place fool you. The wings are expensive, scrawny and small, with very little meat. The wing sauce is predictable and very salty. Service was deplorable. I think its a requirement for all employees to smoke... our server reeked of cigarette smoke and she actually bent over and rested her forearms on the table when she talked to us. We weren't at the bar, but at a smaller "sit down" table. She was bent at a 90 degree angle with her arms, bulk, and hair literally draped across much of our table as she asked, "what do you want?" She stood herself back up with much effort, pushing up from the table to reach a standing position. I'm not easily grossed out, but the smell of her smoke breath, etc, was too much. Went here for dinner with a friend on a Saturday around 5:30pm. It was super busy and I was happy we got a table in just a few minutes. The waitress was polite and friendly. I have really enjoyed coming here over the years, we used to go almost weekly after baseball/softball tournaments in the summer. But it its gotten so expensive for what you're getting. $12 for a regular juicy Lucy with chips? $2.50 if you want fries. $10 for a small, plain burger and fries. It seems like every time we go back, the prices go up. The food is generally decent, service is usually ok and the manager is really nice.
