This was the worst time out ever. They were not busy. I ordered a salad, my order came out and it wasnt even close to what I ordered. Sent in back and took them 15 minutes to bring out a salad. Disappointing. Not that we had high expectation but still... Service was not good... We sat in bar area. Took like 15-20 min for a waitress to come over. Ordered boneless chicken and appetizer and another 25min wait. Didn't come to refill our drinks until we are almost done. If it was packed, we could be more understanding but it wasn't busy. Terrible service, solemnly due to manager Joel. As soon as we came in he came over to our table and told my friend they do not allow outside drinks in the restaurant and so after my friend finished his drink he says with an attitude "wow man that was the coolest thing I've ever seen". Then we got Keno cards and when we asked him to cash them in he said "so you want me to cash these?" And when my friend said yes he did not hear him and said rudely again, "I'm asking you a question so answer it." Lastly when our friend came late we asked to pull up another chair and he refused and told us he could sit at the table behind us with a whole other server. To say the least Joe was a rude manager with zero customer service and proper communication skills. They do not have the best wings I have ever had, but I have been to a few different ones to catch some UFC fights before. What really impressed me this past visit was their set up for a live fantasy football draft. They had boards set up with sticker sheets with all of the players. There were little swag bags with coupons and beer glasses and a turf coozy. We were set up with drink specials and our waitress was super amazing the whole time. We had a ton of fun. It is super popular (for good reason), so I highly recommend calling ahead for a spot. Definitely becoming an annual tradition for us! read more

Wings were acceptable and tuesdays are half price wings, so that made it worth our while. Just won't be back for full price wings as there are much better spots I'd rather pay full price for. First time at this new BWW. We made the half hour trip for Sonic, but with no A/C in my car and the heat being so wretched, we changed our minds at the last minute and opted for wings indoors. Atmosphere is loud and pumped full of current pop music, and they seem to want to be both a bar and a family restaurant, which is accomplished by having two semi-separate areas. (There is outdoor seating as well.) We sat in the back bar area at a high top table/booth with a panoramic view of about 10 large screen TVs playing all sorts of sports as well as at-the-table trivia (which was offered to us for free, just sign in as "guest".) Service was great, she was very knowledgeable and friendly (Thanks, Cassandra!) Pointed out the newest menu items as well as some special summer beers on tap, which led me to find a brew I really enjoy - which is rare, considering I'm not much of a beer drinker. Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy, a beer & lemonade combo with a lemon slice to top it off. Pretty fantastic if you like lighter, citrusy beers. Food: I went for the smallest order of boneless wings, but I wasn't a big fan of the sweet bbq flavor - rather boring, but that's what I get for going with the safe choice I guess. The Desert Heat dry rub was pretty awesome though, like Adobo with a kick in the ass afterwards. The boneless wings are not like chicken strips, they're smaller in size (think almost like sweet & sour chicken from a chinese place) but the smallest order is 8 instead of 6 like the traditional. There is a fair amount of breading. Next time, I'm going to go with the traditional bone-in wings, even if it's messier. (By the way, I totally agree with Torrey L. about the best boneless wings coming from The Hangar!) The cole slaw left something to be desired as well, too dry and really lacking in flavor. The salt & vinegar fries which were surprisingly REALLY good (never thought of that flavor on fries, but it works!) though next time I'd probably go with the Buffalo Chips instead of the shoestrings. Order came with celery & carrot sticks and our choice of ranch or bleu cheese - I picked the bleu cheese but it didn't have much flavor and no chunks of cheese to speak of. I've been told I need to try the pulled pork sandwich, and I'm curious about the roasted garlic mushrooms, so it looks like another visit is definitely in order. read more

Excellent wings, almost OK service, crappy atmosphere. I know BWW is a sports bar, and they had a wide variety of sports on the TVs. Went to the Manchester, CT location on a Saturday afternoon with my son. Not crowded at all. I think they had a limited wait staff. It took a while for our server to arrive, and when she did, she put the silverware on the table, and said 'I'll be right back'. After a while, she did return, took our orders, and got our drinks. The food came out pretty quickly, and was very good. Had to wait some more before she returned again. Asked for the check. Waited. She dropped the check and left. I put my card down. Waited. Waited. She picked up the check, I went to the restroom. Got back, and the check and card were sitting there. IMO, with the small number of customers in the place, our server should have been much more attentive. The music was WAY too loud, and the bass was painful. I like the food at BWW, but the atmosphere sucks. I would return reluctantly. There are plenty of other choices in the area. read more

Went for the first time last night to watch NFL playoffs and celebrate a buddy's birthday. The food is nothing short of terrible - we had six different entrees and three apps in addition to three different small wing orders. The food is basically McDonald's quality or slightly worse but for double the price. Everything appears to be frozen and re heated. The "cheese" for the nachos is almost certainly a microwave dish of processed junk with what they call Chili on it - it was the worst nachos I've ever tasted. To be fair, the service was very good - all the people were friendly and they were willing to change the televisions to any channel. The beer selection is above average and they are quick to refill. That said, my friend's wife asked for a glass of wine and one of my friends ordered a crown and coke - both were terrible pours and they switched to beer immediately. If I want to watch a game out of the house Damon's or Black Bear or Tavern in Hartford would all be better choices. Even the food at Hooters would be much better. I've been - but won't be back and don't recommend this for anyone who doesn't want an upset stomach from dinner. read more

Waited more than 40 minutes and was only served drinks. Twice asked if there was a problem only to be told food was on the way. Finally walked out and left my daughter to complain to management. Came here for dinner after shopping because Ive heard so much about it. We love wings and salad and this place had them both but wow this menu was a tad confusing in how to order wings. There are just so many different ways to have them. I like dry rubbed wings so just asked waitress if they had any. The only dry rubbed were the parm garlic so I just tried those. They were ok. Daughter ordered boneless bbq. She absolutely loved them but they are not to my liking. Drowning in sauce. I dont think they make many salads here because frankly they did not taste fresh. The seating is odd to me, no privacy and people scooting to get through tables. Came for the rousey fight and I won't be back. The staff were literally screaming obnoxious crap like "don't you touch Ronda" on their way into the kitchen literally at the top of their lungs. I really don't understand why people love this place so much. Maybe its the affordable prices, cheap beer, and endless sports games being broadcast throughout. But for chicken wings, they lose hands down. From what I've experienced, they're small, tough, and the actual chicken is flavorless. There's a large assortment of sauces to choose from which is nice, but the ones I've had were nothing to rave about. The happy hour deals are decent on an already inexpensive menu, but you're paying for what you get. And typically those options seem to be pre-made, high in sodium, and frozen. We walked in and were greeted by an unfriendly hostess only to be seated and not even asked for a drink for a half hour. We had to ask the manager to get us a waiter. Then when we finally got to order they brought out the wrong appetizer. The manager said "this does not happen often I don't know why there's a mix up". Needless to say, our waiter was less than attentive the rest of the evening. She ordered a mild sauce on her wrap and she got a medium. As two people who can't handle too much spiciness, this was just another unpleasantry to add onto our poor dining experience here. Their credit card machine was also down so that was another annoyance trying to pay, especially when our waiter forgot to give us a pen. Really loud and obnoxious. Went in for lunch on a weekday with my wife and 4-year old son in order to blow a gift certificate. They were blasting horrible teenager dance music, with like 500 TVs everywhere showing sports. On one 20-foot tall TV they showed clips from some kind of fighting match where one of the guys was covered in blood, with blood all over the ring. This was in front of my 4-year old kid, remember. Totally clueless, all the most horrible things about American culture (or lack thereof) turned up to 11. The food was gross. The waiter sits down at your table, which is creepy and uncomfortable. I dig this place! I met a friend for drinks and food here and it's a good place to hang. It's a bit of a frat boy hang out, and that's what its intended to be. The food is ok, I've enjoyed the chicken fingers twice. The beer is cold and the TV is load (I remember Homer Simpson saying something like this once). It's no frills dining and it's a good time.
