The Main Pub is always a great local place to have a drink, eat a meal, listen to some music, and in warm weather, sit outside on a beautiful patio. We stopped by on a cold night for some dinner. Sat in the bar area at a high top table. It's welcoming, comfortable, and 'nice'. We were there on a Thursday night. They have trivia on Thursday, but not until 8:00. Since we came at 6:00, we didn't want to wait around that long, however, another time we will plan to come later. Our server was beyond nice (I wish I found out her name). Whether it was checking if we had what we needed or making sure our member number was recorded - they have a Loyalty program. My husband had a turkey sandwich as a wrap. I had the fish tacos. Comes with 2 tacos and a side. I got the ceasar salad as my side. Took 1 of the tacos home (lunch the next day) Delicious. read more

I usually don't like pub food but the food at the Main Pub is amazing! I usually get their burger because it's so good but their tater tots, mac, NY strip and everything I've smooch off of other's plates have always been good. I love their bands, karaoke nights on Sunday and another day during the week. I joined their rewards club and didn't even realize that I had a $10 rewards last night. What a pleasant surprise. The service is always with a smile and the drinks are fantastic. Plenty of bar area since there's two sides, a beautiful patio, and another dining area where it's quieter. Family friendly as well. My girls loved their Mac/chicken tenders and veggie burger! Nothing like steak and a glass of cab while listening to people having fun singing karaoke! Can't wait to go back on a Friday or Saturday for their famous Prime Rib! Word is that they've been selling out so her there when they start serving it at 4pm! read more

This one's a little tricky to rate because I didn't even go inside the restaurant, so I have no idea about the bar setup or the bathrooms. But based on the patio experience, here's my take: The patio itself is stunning: lush plants everywhere, cozy fireplaces, string lights, and even live music. As the sun set, they brought out little battery candles for the tables, which gave it such a romantic vibe. Honestly, 10/10 for atmosphere. Perfect for a date night, or in my case, a night out with a friend. Food was more of a mixed bag. The garlic bread was a total letdown! It honestly should have just come as a free side with a salad instead of being served as an appetizer. It was underwhelming and overpriced for what it was. The Cobb salad was fresh and delicious, but a pretty basic salad. The homemade ranch was a win (points for that!), but honestly, the bacon was cold and not good at all. I added salmon for an upcharge, and I'm glad I did because without it, the salad would've been disappointing My friend had a burger and loved it. Her fries were the standout, thick, twisty, wedge potatoes that reminded me of the ones at Sicily in Middletown. Funny enough, she ordered sweet potato fries but got these instead, and I'm actually glad because now I know they're on the menu. The service was fantastic (even despite the fry mixup). Our server was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. No complaints there. Neither of us ordered alcohol, so I can't speak for the bar service. Overall: the patio is the star here and makes it worth coming back for the view, the live music, and the vibe alone. Next time, I'll check out the inside (I'm guessing TVs and pub-style atmosphere, perfect for football season). Came here for Sunday night Karaoke. The atmosphere was great. Great group of people that came out to sing. The bartender was great and very nice. 80s music. Wings and good friend.. all I needed for good Friday night. Loved trying the new cocktails on the season menu. I highly recommend trying before it goes away. The Olde Mill and the Chai Cantina The wings are cooked to perfection Garlic Parmesan and sweet chilli I always order my wings naked then dip them into the sauce. Stopped in for some appetizers and they were perfect. Enjoyed some spinach and artichoke dip which was really flavorful, the jumbo pretzel which was flaky and very soft! Also ordered the flatbread. A downside was the waitress could not honor the happy hour menu unless we moved tables, so we opted to move in order to get happy hour honored, once we moved we were not informed that only one thing we ordered even counted towards happy hour in the first place. We made a follow up visit to The Main Pub in Manchester, CT,. We had the pleasure of sampling a few dishes: the spinach and artichoke dip, fish and chips, and the blackened chicken Caesar salad. The spinach and artichoke dip, without a doubt, stole the show--it's the best we've ever tasted, creamy and packed with flavor. The fish and chips were equally delightful, offering a generous portion at a great price, with a crispy exterior and flavorful fish that hit all the right notes. The only hiccup was the blackened chicken Caesar salad--the chicken itself was unfortunately on the dry side, which detracted a bit from an otherwise enjoyable dish. However, the attentive service more than made up for it, with our server ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Overall, we're rating this experience a solid 7.5/10 and still happily recommend The Main Pub to others. It's worth revisiting for the inviting atmosphere, attentive staff, and menu standouts like that incredible spinach and artichoke dip. Give it a try--you might just find your new favorite go-to spot! This was the first trip my wife and I took to The Main Pub. The food was delicious she had a burger which was cooked perfectly the bun could've been a little bit bigger but a solid burger. I had the Rustic Rigatoni and it was also delicious. We shared the fried mozzarella which was accompanied by what tasted like a homemade marinara. The ambiance of the patio was relaxing and the service excellent. Highly recommend. read more

We wanted to beat the heat (and wait out automotive service) so we sought out brewpubs. We had driven past a few times, but it was calling... The air was cool, the interior cozy, the atmosphere lovely (great tunes). A nice beer collection served up Counter Weight "Precious Petals" (yummy) and Bell's Two Hearted Ale, both of which were tasty. Son has been channeling Harry Potter and made the OG Hamburger disappear (Look, Ma, no wand!") with massive fries. My Ranchero Burger (BBQ enhanced) was superb. The BLT was great, but more than enough for slim esposa. We joined the loyalty program, and shall return! read more

First visit. Excellent. Big, easy parking lot. Large outdoor patio with many flowers. Indoor tables nicely separated. Best fish sandwich I've had for quite a while. This has been our go to spot for nice lunch with a large menu. I went yesterday with my nephew we started with the Ruben kegs they were delicious. My nephew had the special, Dublin burger. He loved it. I ordered the ultimate BLT it has been my go to for over a year! It was AWFUL! Why did you decide to change it up? The lettuce was dressed with a terrible tasting dressing! It ruined the sandwich! I should have sent it back! It used to have fresh avocado lettuce and a mayo. It mostly lettuce tomato and maybe 2 pieces of bacon. Definitely a disappointment! read more

I had lunch today at the main pub with my daughter and her in-laws. It was a delicious meal. The outstanding part was the honey mustard, aïoli sauce that we dipped our french fries in. Delicious I had a Long Island iced tea. That was very good. The second one was much stronger than the first and then I had a chicken sandwich with cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. Delicious. I stopped in here recently on a sultry summer late afternoon. I noticed the outdoor patio was unoccupied. I found a seat at the bar which was much cooler than outside. I promptly ordered the fish tacos. The menu indicated "comes with any side." The bartender told me that was a TYPO. OMG. When my order was delivered, the friendly staffperson asked me what I wanted for my side. I was baffled. I told her that the bartender had clearly informed me that no side came with my particular order. The staffperson informed me that they changed this just today! I did get a side. I was frazzled. Won't return. I get better service and food in several other restaurants/bars nearby. The music was 10 out of 10 on the intercom by the way. The crew was too busy talking to each other to take good care of the patrons. I heard a lot of shop talk about the employees schedules. WTF? Loved EVERYTHING about this place. Number one being how extremely clean it is.. how calm and beautiful it is. The decor is gorgeous. The staff is the SWEETEST and so attentive. Prices are great! The portions are perfect. The food was actually VERY delicious.. my favorite today was definitely the artichoke dip, it was crispy on top and creamy. My favorite artichoke dip will always be from here now. Also.. those pub fries!!! Wow! Also had their signature dry rub wings.. loved those too! Can't wait to try more of their foods!! read more

Just had lunch there today. Ordered reuben kegs app. Never got it. Burgers tasted good but the buns used just fall apart. They don't hold up to th burger. Also ordered a coke. Not really sure what it was in the glass but it didn't even taste like cheap cola. Noticed other customers comment on the off taste of the coke. 1st time here, and it was nice to see some different things on the menu vs the same ole stuff. We both decided on the fish tacos & each added a side to split of coleslaw & pub fries. It was a cold rainy day & the very strong coffee we ordered hit the spot. (not for the weak at heart) The pub fries were good, not the thick steak fries you would expect, & the coleslaw eas decent. It seemed to be a mix.. I don't like sweet coleslaw made w/ dressing, I'm more of a savory girl, but this did have sugar in it. Next time, I would opt for the fish & chips over the tacos because they were VERY MESSY! It was nice that they lightly toasted tortilla, filled w/ coleslaw at the bottom, a thick chunk of Avocado and the sauce on top made it very sloppy, too sloppy for public. The staff was very pleasant & the food came quickly. We even got an endorsement from a regular who couldnt say enough good things about the establishment. Always a delicious meal at Main Pub. This was my first time having the Reuben kegs. Basically Tator tots stuffed with rice beef and cheese. They were delicious. The cob salad was prepared beautifully and all the ingredients were fresh. We also had the giant pretzel which was a tasty bar staple. Our staff were extremely attentive and helpful. If you are looking for a non chain local place to eat look no further. We met friends last night and everyone enjoyed their meal . I can say I had the best chili I have had in a long time. It was perfect with a side salad . My husband had the corn beef Reuben and enjoyed the grilled bread, lean corn beef and side of fried potatoes. I can't wait to return for happy hour where choices for appetizers looked interesting . Waitress was very sweet and even brought me a refill of soda without me asking. read more

This was my first time here for lunch and won't be my last time. It was a beautiful day to sit outside but we changed our minds after all the bugs were out along the flowers. Then we decided to go inside with the air conditioning and grabbed a booth where it was very comfortable and the serve was right on point. It wasn't a long wait for our food to arrive since we were on a time limit which made the visit enjoyable. The cheeseburger was alittle pricey at 17 but was a very good size and fresh patty that my son enjoyed along with his tastes mashed potatoes. I enjoyed my tasty spicy chicken sandwich which was fresh to order. The French fries were fresh sliced potatoes and very yummy. Definitely will be returning for a 2nd visit. read more

They don't know how to make an actual Cobb Salad. Chicken is a $7.00 add on?? That comes to $23.00! I could get Seafood fra Diavlo for $23.00, with a plain salad and bread. Others complained on Google. Not a fan of an un underwhelming overpriced lettuce with mostly chopped tomato and chopped red onion. No seasoning so bland as sand. read more

Sadly enough, this might be my first time here! The restaurant is located at 306 Main St. in a Manchester. Per the owner: "Whether you're in the mood for excellent comfort food cooked just right or an exquisite evening out with someone special, our staff will proudly serve you with the same excellent service as we have for 40 years." 40 years! Hats off to them! So, they have a big building, a huge patio and quite a bit of parking. It's Happy Hour (M-F 3-6; Fri-Sat 10-12). I'm taking advantage of this for sure! There's a good crowd in here too. $6 Classic Cocktails (1/2 price)?! You can't go wrong! They have live music too later on (a small is included in your bill). For my first drink , I'm having an Old Fashioned which is made with Elijah Craig 12 Year, Angostura bitters and sugar. That's a great choice of whiskey! It tastes great, is properly garnished (nice, long orange peel) and is served in a glass that is cool to the touch. For my first food item, I'm having a Garden Salad made with a lemon dill vinaigrette dressing. I can smell the dressing from here! It is made of greens, cucumbers , tomatoes , carrots , purple onions and croutons. The utensils are wrapped in a high quality, disposable napkin. That is damn good dressing! I like the croutons too. I think they're made from rye bread. Next up, I'm having a cup of French Onion Soup I made with melted Swiss cheese (light for me), provolone cheese and a crostini to soak the deliciousness in! Per WP: "French onion soup is a soup of onions , gently fried and then cooked in meat stock or water . usually served gratinéed with croutons or a larger piece of bread covered with cheese floating on top. Onion soups were known in France since medieval times, but the version now familiar dates from the mid-19th century." This is very good ! It piping hot and served with a lot of cheese ! For my next drink , I'm having a Manhattan. This is made with Rittenhouse Rye, sweet vermouth and Angostura bitters. I see these use jiggers here (to measure properly). That's not common. It takes longer, but gets its right. This guy is good ! He makes multiple drinks at once! This taste just perfect . It is served in a Margarita glass (which is odd) and garnished with a cherry . For my next item, I'm having the Hummus with Chips and Veggies. This comes with roasted red pepper hummus, Kalamata olives , roasted red peppers, feta cheese , tomatoes and red onion . It is served with roasted garlic naan bread . Per WP: "Naan is a leavened, oven-baked (usually using a tandoor) or tawa-fried flatbread. It is characterized by its light and slightly fluffy texture and golden-brown spots from the baking process. Naan is found in the cuisines mainly of Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and the Caribbean." This a real good ! The veggies are fresh. The humus tastes great! The chips are fresh, thick, crispy and real good ! For my entree, I'm having the Spicy Chicken Sandwich (extra spicy for me) which is grilled chicken on a soft brioche bun, with melted pepperjack cheese and topped with lettuce , tomato , onion and chipotle aioli (light for me). My side will be cole slaw. Well, they didn't get the side right, but I love these chips/fries do I'm not concerned! The bartender noticed too. Wow ! I'm glad they made a mistake. These "fries" (they're like almost chips) are good! I love ketchup too. I'll give them credit. They did put a few jalapeños on there. Wow ! For my last drink , I'm having a Negroni made with Tanqueray Gin, Campari and sweet vermouth. Very good ! It is properly garnished in a nice, cool glass and tastes just perfect ! The small (must be the "bar" men's room) has just a sink and urinal with the old "turn to flush" mechanism. I heard there's a Table "74." This place is big and very well run! I have been passing through Main St over the last 12 years and always wanted to get a glimpse of the atmosphere created by the live music and the crowd that I keep witnessing. I was just driving around the area with no plans and today was the day that I decided to just pull into the parking lot rather than driving away. The place has been redone since what I have been getting a glimpse off as I drive. The outside seating is well done with beautiful flowers and ample shade on a warm summer day. We ordered fish taco, fried chicken and smores lava cake. Fish taco was well prepared and tested good but lacked the authentic taste in the tortilla. Fried chicken was crispy with a tender meat and ample sauce that had you craving for more. The fried chicken came with a side, I picked garlic mash with a $2 upgrade for a side that compliments the sandwich well. However, the lava cake was not what I expected as it was missing the lava and had turned into an ingenious rock. The restaurant made up for the error by enticing us with a gift card instead of a refund for the error. read more

Date night, and with no promising prospects in terms of food we came here on a whim. The location is nice, decked out and clean. The servers were well presented but aloof, and the outdoor dining was plentiful and spacious. One of the problems of being outdoors is the proximity to a major intersection. There's a lot of commuter traffic and no real buffer for the sound. So on multiple occasions you would get deafened by a man on their motorcycle revving his harley. There were some misses in terms of food as well. The Ruben Tots were very good, little greasy but not horribly so. Good flavor, the highlight of the meal. The shrimp and grits were prepared well, but there was only 4 shrimp offered and they were pretty expensive for 4. We wanted to finish on a slightly sweet note, so we got the strawberry shortcake special. The picture was the best thing about it. The biscuit was very dense, the strawberries were not emaserated, which made the dry dense biscuit that much harder to eat. They removed it from the bill, which I do appreciate. It wasn't good though. For the price, it's not really worth going to. It's not bad food, but everything kind of combined to make a not so nice night. At least I can say that I went and gave them a try. Hopefully if you try them you have a good experience, will probably be a pass for me. read more
