I do not recommend this location. We had a long wait time for food despite very few diners. When the food was finally ready, the waitress sat our food down in front of us and walked away. We had to flag another waitress down to ask for condiments. My chicken wrap had various temperatures and sauce even though I ordered it plain. We ordered 2 different orders of wings, which they plated together instead of separately. Also, apparently this location pays employees to sit and fill plastic cups of condiments, instead of just placing bottles on the tables. This is inconvenient and doesn't seem financially savvy. When we received the check, we included our rewards info because we had active rewards. However, the waitress did not enter the info, despite us informing her we had active rewards. Because she had already charged us the full amount, our credit card was then locked because she attempted to process another charge to fix her error. We stopped in around 5 for an appetizer, since we were having dinner late. We ordered the fan fave ultimate sampler. Morehead used to be our go-to BWW, always better than surrounding locations. Recently it has gone downhill, and after last night's trip we will no longer go here. We ordered 30 wings, with 3 different sauces (same order every time). This time, one set came out sauceless. When we told them, they said they were out of the sauce. Instead of asking a sub, they just didn't sauce them. Also, all the wings were lukewarm and tough. If we weren't starving we would have sent them back and left. To start, we walked in and had to search for someone to seat us. Once seated they put us in like the only booth without a tv. Which someone has to sit there so I guess I'm ok with it. I had time to go to the restroom come back and my coworker go and come back before we were asked about our drinks. My lemonade was not impressive like most other BWWs. Other BWWs lemonades is freaking good. We order and my coworker gets traditional Thai curry wings with chips and salsa as his side. I ordered boneless honey bbq wings with wedges. I specifically request that they cook my Wings after his because the bone in Takes way longer to cook and I end up getting cold food. We get our food and he has a ton of chips and a tiny 2oz cup of salsa and his wings are barely coated in sauce. My wings and wedges were.... Drum roll.... COLD I couldn't even eat the wedges. Floor manager came by and asked if everything was ok and I explained everything to her. She was going to take my food and get me fresh food (or stick it in the microwave). I declined. Very good local franchise, located in Morehead. Servers usually go the extra mile to make you welcome. Excellent low-cost luncheon menu, and of course with all the TVs, a great place to catch a game. Bar area has always seemed most welcoming. A great place to unwind after work on a Friday. Good beer list with a choice of several select microbrews. Bring next door to the Morehead cinema makes it a good place to feed after or before a show. Recommended! read more

Well, wow. This is the worst Wild Wings I've ever been to. When you go here, you're going for the atmosphere. A place to drink beer, watch a game and eat something. First the wings. Regardless if it's bone in or boneless, they are overcooked. Always, I keep coming back every 3 or 6 months to check if they have improved but no, they still haven't. Dried out wings, with very little sauce on them. Boneless is basically a chicken nugget with no sauce on it, I want to say "Come on Karen, quit acting like it comes out of your check and get me some sauce!" So do the bone-in wings, next time I go (like the idiot that I am) I'll make sure to take photos of this crap they are passing for chicken. And if you get boneless, count them. Even a very very small piece, counts as one. The draft beer is good. Usually have most brands on tap. But the bar food is subpar. You're buying the tv time and drinking time with friends. This was the absolute worst restaurant experience I've ever had. A bit of background, we were a group of 10, we called ahead to be sure they could accommodate us and were told us to come right in. Our group included 5 that spent many years in both the front and back of the house in fine dining and casual restaurants and are very forgiving of issues that can come up. We arrived to a mostly empty house and were shown to a table, a number of the chairs were dirty and sticky and we moved them ourselves to find clean ones, there was also trash on the floor. Our initial drink orders were taken but if you don't have ID don't expect to get a beer. I'm 67 and was refused service. Half of our group received their food, some things required a fork. We had to ask 3 times from 3 people, including someone who claimed to be a manager, Michael. By the time we got it the food was cold. The rest of the food showed up and not a single plate was correct, it was recooked and once again delivered, still had items wrong. Please note we ordered burgers, nothing special. At this point our original server disappeared and another one came to try to straighten out our orders. We finally got our food, long after the rest of the group had finished. Our 4 meals were comped as they should have been but the "manager" never returned to our table to help us. So, in a nutshell, they were not busy, they had numerous servers working, they sent out cold and incorrect food, they must have a silverware shortage and god forbid you are a senior citizen that wants a beer and the place was dirty. We came in on a Friday night the restaurant wasn't to busy they seated two party's of 8 after we had been seated for 30 minutes. NOBODY came and took our food order for at least an hour. First let me just get out of the way that I ordered cheese fries and I think they made them but didn't serve them to me until my wings were ready which made the cheese hard and luke warm. Not that's over with, here is everything else that made it bomb. We came on a Tuesday night for their 60cent wings and the place wasn't packed!! On top of that their service was possibly the best service I've ever had. They changed channels promptly when asked, fixed my food in seconds when given the wrong order, had water refilled as soon as my cup was empty, and they checked up on us quite frequently. Also, their wings were gigantic!! My whole table was amazed and kept mentioning that the wings here are huge. Unfortunately we weren't able to tolerate the foul smell of this restaurant and left. The rancid dirty rag, rotten mop odor made us lose our appetite. They sat us near the bathrooms so we relocated ourselves but that wasn't the fix. We were hoping that would work as we've been really craving some of the infamous Bw's wing sauce. So that they can be prepared for a big crowd. 8th Grade Rowan County Graduation, and BWW, was not even close to ready for it. We order 5 entrees. 2 were delivered, then the next 2 came 10-15 minutes later. And 1 was never delivered. Oh and 1 was not even kind of correct! Brought the completely wrong thing. Our drinks were not refilled, and while apologies came over and over, nothing was ever corrected. Okay, let me start by saying this....I know we're in COVID, and I know things are tough for everyone. With that said, I don't believe the root of this not-so-good review is COVID related. I gave two stars simply because our waitress was fantastic and did the best she could to make everything go as smoothly as possible. No, our issue yesterday stems from the kitchen, whether understaffed, untrained, or whatever the situation was, it was an utter disappointment. As a normal rule, my family and I absolutely LOVE Buffalo Wild Wings, so I was SUPER excited at the opportunity to eat there before we caught an afternoon movie at the cinema next door. As I said, the waitress was great, drinks arrived promptly, she took our order which included appetizers and sent it off to the kitchen. When the appetizer arrived, our waitress was apologetic and let us know that she had told the kitchen to make us a new one because these deep fried pickles were all clumped together in three or four large clumps. We thanked her and even ordered an additional order of them, so that meant two more orders of pickles were on their way. One order was good, individual batter dipped and fried golden brown, the other was clumped together just like the first batch was. We sent that order back to the kitchen. When the food arrived, this is where we were extremely disappointed. My wife had ordered a grilled chicken salad. The greens didn't look good, like they had been sitting around way past their use by date, and the chicken was dry, rubbery, and had a pale yellow shade to it. After one bite my wife sent hers back. I ordered a brisket sandwich and cheese curds. The cheese curds were good, no complaints there; however that brisket sandwich left a LOT to be desired. The flavor of the meat itself was masked by a weird combination of other flavors which I couldn't put my finger on. The meat was very dry, and most of it fell out of the sandwich after the first bite. I forced myself to eat it simply because I was starving and had to eat so my blood sugar wouldn't drop. My son ordered a cheeseburger but only ate one bite of it. After sampling it myself, I can see why.....I believe a warm piece of Kingsford Charcoal would have tasted better....I had to spit the bite out after gagging multiple times. He ate his fries and most of our cheese curds. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger as well, but said she enjoyed hers. It really hurts me to even have to write such an unpleasant review, but hopefully it will be used as constructive criticism and help them improve what comes from the kitchen. I will say, they comped my wife's salad, but our bill was still over $60; which isn't a big deal if the food is edible, but this was a big waste for us. read more

This place is a hit or miss with me. Sometimes the food and service is superb, other times it's subpar at best. Their alcoholic beverages are overpriced compared to other places around town. It's a great place to catch your favorite sports team in action if you don't care about actually hearing the game because of the hundred screaming college students but that is to be expected in a college town. Not the best experience I've had at a Buffalo Wild Wings. The service was slow & the food was subpar. My salad and celery looked and tasted like they had been frozen. My tenders were almost over cooked. But dessert was really, really, good. Our waitress was sweet, but not very attentive. Drinks ran out before she made her way back to us and I had to get sweetener for my tea from another table. I'll probable eat here again but it won't be one of my preferred restaurants in town. read more
