I ordered it with onion rings instead of fries and my meal was very good! Bartender Joe was excellent! Lovely outdoor seating area, live music & karaoke, large dining are & cozy bar & high tops. Specials were presented w/ the menu, reasonable priced & large portions. Even the smaller sized salads were huge. Started w/ the Pork Rinds, I am not a fan, but my bf loves them. They were great & still crackling from the fryer! We took them home also & still crispy days later. Ordered the Ribeye Sandwich & mashed potatoes which were savory & very filling. Very local hang out. This used to be a great place but has changed owners a couple of times. Staff does okay but sometimes you have to look for someone to wait on you or bring you refills. Food is decent. Lots of options on the menu but sometimes overcooked but they have an excellent beer cheese platter. Expect a wait but it will be fresh. inside Could use a good refresh. This is not a steakhouse. It's a local dive bar. The place isn't clean dirty, dirt on the floor, tables greasy to touch. They do not use good ingredients or meats. I got a Philly and it was over cooked, greasy and the Swiss cheese was imitation cheese. I got the beer cheese and it was cold and just cheese-wiz with beer mixed in it. I'm going to start with this. I never go to any restaurant and say that every single thing I got was cooked to perfection. However, in this case I can absolutely say everything was cooked to perfection. And man, you have to try the 911 sauce on those wings. That stuff is awesome. The service was way above and beyond as well. I got to meet the chef and it blew my mind to find it was a young 18yr old girl. Guys, I would put her up against any of those 40-yr. old chefs with years of experience any day. We had the appetizer sampler, then the beer cheese burger with onion rings for me and mac and cheese for the daughter. When I say everything was cooked to absolute perfection. That is what I mean. Dropped off of the interstate because I was craving a good ribeye steak. Stopped in at 3:05 pm on Friday afternoon. Ordered the 12 oz Ribeye (medium) with a loaded baked potato. Salad with ranch dressing. (3:15 pm for order) Place was empty except for a woman and two children. The salad showed up at the table at 3:22 pm. It was in a side dish bowl with very shredded iceberg lettuce, a free small bits of tomato and cucumber (the lettuce was cut for a taco, not a salad). It wasn't bad, but less than I expected. At 4:22, the steak arrived. The baked potato was warm, not hot and had a few shredded of cheese and a few bacon bits in the cut (was not fresh - wouldn't melt the simulated margarine spread) The steak was a good size, little fat and cooked well done. It was extremely dry and had tasted like an overcooked picnic hamburger patty. Very, very dry. The waiter did stop and ask about the meal and I pointed out that a medium steak usually has a red center and this one was over cooked. The waiter offered to replace the meal, but I refused since I was traveling and it took over 40 minutes to go from order to the table. (No one else entered the restaurant during this time) I tried, but didn't eat the meal. My ribeye craving was gone, I paid and left to get onward to my destination. The wait staff were polite, but the food was subpar. If I had time, i still wouldn't have waited. They need a new cook. Sawdust and shoe leather is not a steak flavor. We came here from Kansas City to see family. We decided to stop at DJs because it had a little bit of everything to eat so our whole Group had stuff they could eat. It was delicious. The blacked salmon was seasoned perfectly and cooked well. The restrooms are really clean (liked their bathroom signs) and the server was quick and got us everything quickly. Stopped in during a weekly work visit from up north. From outside it's just an average strip mall type building. Inside it's a typical sports bar/restaurant. Then it gets going great.... The service was wonderful! Warm, friendly, helpful, and speedy. The extra dirty gin martini was to die for!!!! Made perfectly! I actually crave another! Order a mushroom Swiss burger with no bun & side of homemade chips. The burger was cooked exactly, and I mean exactly, how I love my burgers. The meat was seasoned wonderfully & the toppings were just the right amount. It was about the most delicious burger I've had in a long long long time. Hubs had a steak and potatoes plus Bud Light. I have the Smokehouse burger and it was one the best burgers I've had in a LONG time. The patty was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the topings were well proportioned and complimented the burger and each other superbly! Menu items are typical of a bar and grill. Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches and Steaks. The steaks are grilled out year round to the doneness you request. Something I want to try, Broccoli Poppers. Broccoli florets made with cheddar cheese and deep fried. Sounds good. Non-alcohol beverages include Coke products, Ale 8, Tea and Lemonade. They also offer coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate. I had the hamburger platter. The patty was hand patted and was very good. Comes with french fries and cole slaw. The fries were big, crinkle cut fries. Very good and hot when it came to the table. The cole slaw is homemade and contains Donna's secret dressing which is very delicious. Friday and Saturday they offer specials. They have beer cheese. Happy hour is Monday - Saturday 2-7pm. Be prepared to ask them to clean the table before you sit down. Pre Covid they had decent steaks and prices were reasonable. Steaks are fatty and tough now and prices are up about 25%. They have never done a decent salad and that has not changed. Iceberg lettuce and a few cucumber slices and red onions with dressing brought to you in a package.
