I really want to like this place but time and time again, the service is lacking. Dining in is a nightmare. Everything takes forever! And after you get your food, you can forget about ever seeing your server again. Celebrated a friend's birthday here. We had a big group and our waitress did an amazing job taking care of all us and brought our buddy a birthday cake! The restaurant is very spacious and clean. I enjoyed everything we ordered from fried pickles, garden salad, and we happened to arrive on a Thursday where they had get one boneless wing and get one for free. Let me start by saying I LOVE Buffalo Wild Wings. This review is specifically for this location because fuck this location. A couple weeks ago, I was charged incorrectly. I called about it and was told I could come back and get some wings and fries on the house. I don't eat here every day, so I said I'd rather just get a refund. They told me I'd get a call back about the refund. Never got the call. A couple weeks go by and I finally call them back. I explain what happened and that a manager had previously offered me wings and fries. They put me on hold for 10-15 minutes. Eventually I hung up because at that point, they had me fucked up. I call back from my phone. I'm put on hold again, then the automated system tells me to call back. I tried multiple times -- same thing. So I call from my fiancée's phone and, SURPRISE , they pick up on the first call. Funny how that works. I explain everything AGAIN and ask for a manager. After waiting again, I'm told the manager isn't there and "they'll call you back." LMFAO. That's literally how this whole thing started weeks ago. At this point I don't even care about the wings and fries. It's the principle. You charged me wrong, didn't follow through on the refund, had me chasing you down weeks later, kept me sitting on hold, and now we're right back to "the manager will call you." Let me start by saying we had the most fantastic waitress! A friend was celebrating his birthday here so we had a large party of 12 people. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She got all our orders and requests right and did it all with a smile on her face. She also gave our friend a complimentary chocolate cake slice for his birthday. I started with a mojito which was very refreshing. Their fried pickles were pretty good. The sauces that came with the chips were delicious (queso, salsa, and guacamole). I loved their potato wedges. On Thursdays they have a really good deal where if you buy one boneless wing you get another free. I ordered 10 wings and got 20! For 20 wings you can pick up to 4 sauces. I chose their hottest sauce, Blazin Knockout, and a lower heat one, Jammin Jalapeno. I can eat super spicy and the Blazin Knockout was definitely super spicy! Also a bit on the salty side. This location sucks. Everything takes forever. Want a table? 15 mins. A beer when you sit down? Another 20. Food? That'll be 35 min wait. The staff is kind - we've never had a rude server!!! Went there yesterday after bowling, the service was slow, our waitress looked unhappy almost like she didn't want to be there. The restaurant was pretty empty despite it being lunch time. It took awhile for us to get our drinks, it should've not taken that long for being an empty restaurant. Walked in to pick up my order, no real greeting just a look of "what do you need". The restaurant was quite loud but not too busy, noise comes from all the tvs on. The staff was quick to grab my order which was nice but once arriving home, we noticed all the wings bone in were dried up and old tossed with a little sauce. Which made the $60 order seem way too expensive for the type of service and food quality received. There's not a lot of love for this location but we had a very good experience. The negative reviews for this and almost every place on Yelp are usually due to poor service. Unfortunately, they are seriously short-staffed but our server really hustled and did a great job under the circumstances. The restaurant was pretty busy on a Friday night and they had two servers total and no one at the host stand (so the servers had to work all the tables and seat people, too). The wings with parmesan garlic sauce were good and don't sleep on the loaded bird dawgs which are like chicken tender hot dogs with grilled onions and a spicy sauce. The bird dawg tastes exactly like something you would get at a state fair and I mean that in the very best possible way. Just don't think about cholesterol or calories while you are eating it. They have an excellent happy hour. We split some pretzel knots which were fine (the cheese sauce was just ok) and a terrific draft beer that was the size of New Jersey. If they could manage to get one more server and maybe someone to run the host stand, this place, and its reviews, would improve immensely. Brought out our food, drinks and anything else we needed as quickly as she possibly could. Been to a lot of places and servers think we won't tip so they end up giving us horrible service which leads to a bad tip. First time in a long time having a server who looked like she was enjoying her job ( whether she does or don't). She made being able to go out to eat something enjoyable. At first I thought it was just me but after talking to other people that come this restaurant often she is very disrespectful to specific people. The food at the Buffalo Wild Wings in San Marcos is pretty solid. They cook everything right, and there's nothing to complain about when it comes to the quality--it's your usual wings, burgers, and appetizers done well. The customer service, however, is a completely different story. Especially if you go in at night, the attitude from the staff is just ridiculous. I'm not one of those people who shows up 20 minutes before closing--I'm talking about showing up three or four hours before they close. Yet, they've still treated me poorly. On one particular visit, I showed up early before they close, and not only did they ignore me at first (which seems to be a regular thing there), but they actually told me they were closed. I was completely confused because, according to their posted hours, they didn't close for another three hours. There were literally people eating in the restaurant, and it wasn't even packed. There was clearly enough room for my girlfriend and I. When I asked why they were closed, they dismissively said they weren't accepting new customers at the moment. Meanwhile, I had just seen them let other people in right before me. It felt like they just didn't want to deal with us. Even when I show up to simply pick up food, the experience is frustrating. They'll ignore you until you physically go up to someone to get their attention. One time, I told them I was just there for a pickup, and I watched their annoyed expressions shift to relief, as if they were glad I wasn't going to stay and eat. It honestly makes me wonder if they just hate attending to customers. I'll say this--if you're going during the day, the customer service might be different. But at night, it's consistently terrible.
