If I could give this place zero stars, I would. It took the waitress 28 minutes just to come over and greet us. That should have been a warning sign and I wish we would have left. The restaurant was almost empty so there really isn't an excuse. Our food order was completely wrong. She forgot a meal. She double charged us and we had to correct her. Not to mention, she didnt check on us one time. Working in the industry, I kindly tipped 10%, but seriously.... This place is a joke. Dont go here.

I loved coming to Buffalo Wild Wings back in the day. Wings, beer, pretzels, fries... what more could you ask for? It has been quite a while since I've been to a BWW (maybe 3 years or so?) so this was my first time back in a while. Unfortunately, I think the hype of this chain has faded away and the quality has gone down hill. Or maybe they're struggling to find an adequate number of staff during this post pandemic era just like many other service industry establishments. Either way, my experience here doesn't have me excited to come back again. I ordered some boneless wings, fries, and a spicy margarita. The wings were lackluster with way too much breading to meat ratio, they were under sauced, and the fries were pale and under done. Some to-go fries from any drive through would have been better. The margarita was "okay". A fairly weak shot added to a commercially premade mixer, then dressed up with some garnishes and a Tajin rim. The rim was probably the best part. Also... when did BWW switch to "baby carrots" instead of their formally sliced carrots? The celery could have been cleaned better and it was sloppily prepared. Just a little extra attention to prepping them by cutting off the gross looking brown ends would have gone a long way. Oh well, now I'll appreciate the wings I make at home a little bit more.

I was so thrilled to check this pub out especially with our doggie, Meatball the Bulldog! How perfect right? A Bulldog at The Bulldog Sports Pub. We snagged the last available booth, and it had crumbs on there. Not clean. SMH. I went to the bar to order some drinks for my boyfriend and me since he left his wallet in the car. It was raining that night, and we parked several blocks away. The service was okay. I remember the guy bartender said $29something, but then he charged me $30something. I got the Jalapeno Margarita while my boyfriend had the Tito's Mule. My drink was very sweet with a kick of jalapeno while his was pretty good. They had music playing. It seems that there is a modern jukebox where you can pay to pick a song. There was one pool table for people to play. So many people came up to pet Meatball and give him so much attention. He absolutely loved it! There was one guy who asked if he can say "Hi" to Meatball, and we said that it was okay like we normally do. This weirdo was basically making out with Meatball; not cool at all man. Then Meatball flipped on his back, and he was holding Meatball. My boyfriend told him to let go of Meatball. It was such an uncomfortable interaction. Not normal at all. He even said, "This is my NYE kiss!" SMDH. The guy sat down at a table that is across from us, and he kept looking at us. We quickly finished our drinks, and then we left to ring in the new year at our hotel lobby instead. We should have just hung out in our hotel lobby instead of going out; it was much better there.

We love finding new places to eat with our family, and this place did not disappoint. The halibut special was mouthwatering, and according to our son, he would eat the ribs daily. If food is good but the service is mediocre, it ruins the entire experience. However, the staff checked on us about every two minutes, and even brought a small dish of water and extra napkins for our son who was eating ribs. We'll be back...very soon. Mind you there was only two of us. There was a table of 4 that were behind us, they got their food, ate and we still didn't have our food. Worst service I've ever had I am from the Bay Area where we are over populated and use to waiting. It wasn't the wait, it was how disrespectful the wait became. DONT OPEN THE 12 doors just walk away.... Not to mention they didn't even give me my damn truffle fries, didn't even have the heart to ask and wait another hour for them to fix it. Yet the ambiance, service, and food are very good! I love the various aspects of the decor, as well. Other than parking challenges on a busy night in the downtown, we were lucky to get a table for 5 relatively quickly, as this place isn't that large, with some additional bar seating, and it seems very popular. 5:30 was a great time, as we watched the waiting line grow longer after we were seated. Our server, Michael J., did a great job of greeting us, providing menus, and taking initial drink orders while we decided what to try. We decided to try BBQ honey wings, fried artichoke hearts, and onion rings for appetizers. The main courses were two orders of kids' cheese pizza and tater tots, a small dinner salad, a cup of New England-style clam chowder, and a NY Steak sandwich. The food came in a reasonable time, with appetizers and salad first, then the rest. The apps were good, but the onion rings were a bit greasy. The honey wings were well-liked, as well as the artichoke hearts, which, strangely, were not oily like the onion rings. Yummy! The cheese pizzas paired with tater tots were certainly different, but the pizza was more like a reheated frozen pizza. The tots were okay. The NY Steak sandwich was good as well, with a side of steak fries - obviously! Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely consider dining here in the future when in town.

It was for a group of seven (3 kids and 4 adults), and it was the perfect choice to make the day special. The restaurant is beautiful, and we loved the amazing views paired with lovely weather. We had to ask for directions once we arrived at the hotel, but it was worth finding. We also really appreciated the complementary valet parking for two hours with our reservation. The service was excellent -- our server was friendly, attentive, and really helped make the occasion feel memorable for the whole family. The food was tasty overall. We ordered the fish and chips, clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, and the sea bass tacos. The clam chowder was delicious and paired wonderfully with the fresh sourdough, while the sea bass tacos were flavorful and a real highlight. The fish and chips tasted great with good seasoning and fresh fish, but it arrived a bit soggy by the time it reached our table. It was still enjoyable, though I wish it had been crispier. All in all, the food was good, the views and atmosphere were fantastic, and the excellent service made it a wonderful Father's Day lunch celebration. Highly recommended!

I didn't know that Schooner's was in the Monterey Plaza Hotel, so I did have to ask some directions as to how to get downstairs to the restaurant. Arriving a bit early, we did have to wait until our reservation time to order lunch instead of breakfast, but the hotel was quite nice, and we were able to sit on a bench overlooking Monterey Bay. When we were seated, we opted outside to get a nice view, and they do have heating lamps (that were even a little bit too warm) so don't worry about the breeze. I ended up getting the fish and chips, my wife got cioppino, and the little one got some buttered pasta off the kids menu. The fish and chips was amazing...so fluffy and flaky but also had a nice crisp on the outside - probably some of the best fish n chips that I've had! Our little one also enjoyed the pasta, which was basically spaghetti noodles with butter, and we were appreciative that she was given some crayons to entertain herself. Service was excellent as well. Overall, it was a rather fancy, but very nice lunch for the three of us, and I enjoyed being a little bit away from the busy wharf/Cannery Row to enjoy ourselves before the crowded aquarium. Highly recommend!
