Happy hour June 2024
Carl D.

We came here on a late Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar the place was only about 10 percent full. We decided to sit at the bar thinking it would be faster service. My wife ordered the wrap with sweet bbq like she always does. They either forgot the sauce or the dab was smaller than a dime as she tasted no sauce. Then we had to wait for the bartender to come back so she could ask for a side of sauce. The naked tenders were good. Overall 3 stars due to slow service and missing sauce.

Eating in here is always a nightmare because it's loud as anything, but with Covid shutdowns reducing everything to takeout, that wasn't an option today. Still, the music was still insanely loud considering there's no one in here to listen to it and it makes it that much harder to hear the staff... I ordered online and came in to pickup as I did not opt to pay in advance. Got the lemon pepper boneless wings (sauce, not dry rub). Very tasty, though I would have probably liked it better eating a smaller order; they got saltier tasting as I went along. I do like BWW's standard Buffalo wings, and they always seem to be meatier than Wingstop's. Fulfills that craving for the old-school appetizer.

If there was ever a place where undercover boss needed to hit, this would be the place. We walked in and half the tables were empty. But times are different and I know it's hard to get people to go back to work and or justify working for tips when gas is over $4 a gallon. Nonetheless, we waited 25 minutes to be sat, wait let me rephrase that, we waited 25 minutes to be told we could go over to that section and seat ourselves. Wait nope, we waited 25 minutes to be sent to a confused server who stopped us and said they weren't seating anyone else, at 8:30. After standing by the restrooms for a few minutes while they figured it out they finally sat us. 7 TABLES!!!!! And one over-served gent weaving back and forth from the bathroom. That's how busy they were when we sat. We made 7. Now I don't know who makes the rules about who should be serving food or drinks but I can't recall the last time I was served by someone who hasn't shaved in maybe the last 2 to 3 weeks but whatever. Scraggles McGee untucked and playing on his phone walks over and takes our order on a napkin. A second manager brought us someone else's food. Remember now, there are 7 tables. So for someone to mess that up must mean talent. Cheese curds tasted like never changed oil in the deep fryer. Everything else was almost alright. Steer clear of the Caribbean Jerk. Supposedly it's worse on the boneless wings because the breading on the boneless wings adds to the nasty pinesol taste. Oh and then a second round of drinks came out. Not ordered, just served then taken back.

We went for a date night and it was honestly such an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It is lively and has a great energy, but it is not overwhelming or too crazy, which makes it perfect for a date night. You can actually talk, relax, and enjoy your time together, which is exactly what we were looking for. We ordered a mix of things and everything was so good. The BBQ platter with ribs, pulled chicken, mac and cheese, fries, and toast was packed with flavor and perfect for sharing. The chicken dish with mashed potatoes and greens was also amazing and really well done. We also got dessert and it was the perfect sweet ending to the night. The service was great the entire time. Our server was especially attentive and funny, which made the experience even better and added such a fun, personal touch to the night. Overall this is such a great spot and definitely one we will keep coming back to. If you are looking for a place that has a fun atmosphere but still feels comfortable for a date night, I would absolutely recommend checking this place out.

Place was still packed, food was good, & 90 different beers on tap along with with some out of the ordinary taps like cider and the such. They had a bunch of screens going. I enjoyed the salad & pizza lunch combo and service was good. As others have mentioned a negative as the parking because they shared with other businesses and there's not enough parking but definitely a place worth your while. And the USA won!

We went on Super Bowl Sunday the first time, and were seated right away. Our waitress, Ciera, explained the specials to us and gave us some time to decide on our order. She was great, the right mix of attentiveness but not hovering, super friendly too. On Sundays, apps, crocks, and salads are all half off. Such an amazing deal, especially in this economy. My husband really enjoyed their devils eggs, he ate all 12! The appetizer sampler was great, and we ordered 10 wings with the devils sauce. Ciera was concerned it may be too spicy for us, so we tried a sample with some fries. It's delicious! The devils sauce is one of the components of the wing challenge, so we understand her concern. We went back again on Valentine's Day for a late stop after a busy day. They have a $5 burger and fry special. Again, great food at a great price! Ciera waited on us again, and again, she was incredible. The bartender was very friendly when we were coming and going, and the rest of the staff we saw on Super Bowl Sunday seemed very hard working as they prepped take out orders for the game. They have a great space in the dining area to host events. I'm hoping to host something here in the near future. Overall, I think we've found our new go to hang out. I highly recommend Crosstown. Check out their menu and daily specials, the food is definitely worth the visit.

When we're in town, we hit up all the old favorites, and Miller's Ale House was on the menu on June 25th. We had dinner plans with friends later, but we squeezed in a lunch date with beer and a shared appetizer. Their wings are legendary, so we ordered 12 to go with our brews. Let's get to the review. Service was top-notch - our host greeted us with a smile, and our waiter was on point. We got our beers within five minutes, no problem. The ambiance was cozy, well-lit, and bustling with sports tv and ambient noise. But here's the kicker - we waited 30 minutes for our wings. Yeah, it was 1:30 when we arrived and the place was pretty empty, but that's no excuse. Now why did give a rating of two? Well, for the service and ambiance only. We were served our wings at 2:00. How were the wings you maybe wondering? My Husband and I eagerly grab wing flats. 'Can these bones live?' Eating those wings immediately reminded me of Ezekiel 37 in the Old testament after he saw skeletons scattered about asked, "Can these bones live?" The wings were drier than the Sahara, and the honey barbecue sauce was just a weak attempt to revive the corpse. Can these dry out wings live up to being freshly made and juicy covered up by a tasty honey barque sauce? Hell to the naw, naw naw!!! We called our waiter over explained our dissatisfaction with a request to remove the wings off our bill. We still tipped him, because hey, he's not the wing assassin. since he only served the food and it was the kitchen that prepared that saucy dressed up trash plated up real pretty. What a let down Miller's. We noticed your price increase for six wings cut in half sold as 12 pieces. If you expect customers to pay more for less than you should be serving your best, that is cooked fresh not food that is precooked sitting for hours then reheated. I did check your reviews which were not the best and gave you the benefit of a doubt despite low ratings. Would I recommend Miller's? Sure, if you enjoy eating dry wings and wondering if they'll crawl off your plate. However, to each their own, your money, your call. This economy has got me rethinking the whole 'strike three and you're out' deal. Paying more for less, subpar service, unnecessary waiting time, honey it is now, strike one, you're on out as my time and coins are valuable and restaurants are hurting so I will search for one where I can get the love I deserve.
