I first want to compliment the entire staff for running such a smooth operation on NYE! We were part of the early dinner crowd but it was packed already. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. Our server was great and the staff worked well to help get food to tables. I was amazed how fast all of our food came out, and it was all delicious! Definitely recommend the Wild West Shrimp appetizer. I got the salmon, which comes with a bourbon glaze, rice, and 2 sides. It was so good! My husband really enjoyed his 7 pepper steak- I tried a bite and the flavor and tenderness were both fantastic. I had never been to a Longhorn and if I want a chain reasonably priced steak I go to Texas Roadhouse. Since I live in an area where there are none, I thought I would try Longhorn. The second I walked toward the place I had regrets. An employee was walking in right in front of me and did not even hold the door. Then said employee goes up to hostess stand and starts chatting with maybe 5 other employees that are all just standing there. Not one person greeted me or cared. I walked to the bar, which was empty and sat down, a girl came over and I asked her for a very basic wine, she looked at me like I was nuts. Then said she had to ask, came back and said they did not carry it. That was fine I just picked another and sat at the bar. Every employee in this place was standing around chatting acting silly. When they did give me a menu it was filthy, I did not even want to touch it. Literally caked with God knows what. Maybe instead of your team members standing around one of them could wipe some menus down. The only person working was a guy running the take-out orders. Every time a car pulls in to pick up their order this blaring sound rings. It is the most annoying system, I have ever seen in a restaurant, and I have been to many. The bartender took care of me, and I ordered right away so I could eat and leave. I ordered the bone in ribeye, parmesan crusted. I guess I should have asked if the parmesan crusted, which I have had at several steakhouses. This was not a crust; this was a steak covered in what looked like a beige cream sauce. I was so grossed out; I just asked for a container and took it to go. I understand that this is not a upscale place but McDonalds does better. My wife and I were out for an early dinner after seeing a live musical White Christmas and when we mentioned this to her after she asked if we were out for a special reason or Christmas shopping. Our party of eight arrived in two groups, and those who arrived first were told they had to wait until everyone was present before being seated. Fortunately, we were just down the road. Once seated, our server was fantastic--very helpful, offering great drink recommendations and answering all our questions. My daughter had a great time pointing out all the cowboy decorations that they had, I also noticed a little bit of seasonal decor over by the host stand. The appetizers were excellent, especially the fried onion, which I highly recommend! The children's cheeseburger was a great size, and we appreciated the generous portion of extra pickles--my daughter was thrilled! I ordered the 7oz salmon, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful, though my broccoli was a bit too salty. Others at our table also noticed some dishes were slightly over-salted, but overall, everything was delicious and well-prepared. Service was great, though refills could have been more frequent. However, our server seemed very busy with several large parties, so we understood. The meal ended on a high note with a special birthday dessert that was absolutely delicious! Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable experience trying out the lunch menu at Longhorn Steakhouse, which I highly recommend. The hostess and our server, Nick, made it incredibly enjoyable. I went there with my girlfriend we started with the appetizer of the wings which we were already craving. Perfectly seasoned and the sauces were on point. The entrees, which I have provided, were spot on. I will say that Med Rare is the way to go with all meats here I had to opt for a better burger than preffed, which clashed with the more dryer toasted bun and whatnot. We did have some complications with our meal but our server and the rest of staff handled it pretty well. read more

I've been here multiple times for lunch. The food is pretty simple. I've had the cheddar stuffed mushrooms (very cheesy), firecracker wrap entree (tasty), and strawberry pecan salad with grilled chicken which was alright. Service is okay kind of slow and the hostness paid no attention to us while we waited for assistance. Nothing really stands out here. This place has a western ambiance. This is our new go to place for a delicious but affordable dinner. There are two TVs at the bar, but they don't have all the apps for the sports channels so don't go assuming a game is on. We have gotten the ribs, Parmesan, crusted chicken, steak, and shrimp on a skewer, rice, fries, broccoli, bread. All of the food is phenomenal. Portion sizes are very large. I usually get three meals out of a combo meal . Price is great for how delicious and large the food is. Service is good, we've only sat in the bar, but the bartenders always accommodating and there's other servers that will offer you water or bread if they notice you're running low. read more

We stopped in on a Friday night around 8pm. There was at least a 30 minute wait but luckily found open tables in the bar area so we got seated right away. The server was friendly and attentive. Good silverware and cozy yet lively and comfortable atmosphere. The ribs were delicious. Fire grilled corn had too much sauce on it, otherwise good. I ordered the prime rib medium, which was a mistake. It was on the dry and tougher side. The server mentioned that everything was made from scratch and their seasonings are bold. Five star review tonight! Came with my family of 5. Everyone's steak was fabulous except my husband's. He ordered medium rare, it came out well. We brought this to our waitress' attention & she apologized & promptly returned it to the kitchen. 2 minutes later the manager came to the table, apologized profusely & gave us 2 free deserts & one of our meals was taken off the bill. When they came out with my husbands steak & side it came out PERFECT! They fixed the problem above & beyond. I ordered the ribeye medium--cooked perfectly but well under seasoned and with very little char and flavor. Friend had Flos fillet that was cooked and tasted better. My 12 year old daughter ordered the special salad with grilled chicken. The salad looked like someone threw a handful of lettuce and topped it with grilled chicken. The chicken was ok but i noticed the salad core-- the piece that gets thrown-- in salad. It was missing dressing and mandarin oranges and pecans. The waitress brought over a small cup of each and dressing but the oranges looked like mush. Service ok. It was New Year eve and not busy. When manager came by to ask how everything was I told her about salad and gave the "surprised" look and said sorry. Would not be going back. read more

Having lived in Texas for a long time, I felt like I was in a time warp in this restaurant: perpetual country music, paintings of cows in fields of bluebonnets, and huge steaks? Where am I?! But no, we were still in Oswego, at the Longhorn Steakhouse, where they know a thing or two about steaks, service and satisfaction. We started with the appetizer of white cheddar stuffed mushrooms. Beautifully toasty, these were gooey with cheese and full of rich umami flavor. There are many choices of steaks here, including combos such as the filet and mini lobster tail, as well as some less commonly seen grilled options like pork chops. My dad and I both got ribeyes, my mom the filet, and we all enjoyed the flavorful rub and tenderness of the meat. My choice of the Texas margarita was the right size for me (i.e. not too big) & a nice value at $5.99. There were many side options including salads, potatoes and rice; you can also upgrade to some fancier options for a higher price. Our server, Joe, was very observant and aware of the niceties (i.e. brought extra butter for the 2nd loaf of bread; good knowledge of the menu including the wine); nice job. We moved back to Chicagoland a year ago from Tucson, AZ, where Longhorn Steakhouse was a regular date night location for my wife and I. We love the bold Longhorn seasoning they used. We were exited to see one in Oswego, a few short miles from our house. We went within a few days of moving into our home. Unfortunately, the boldly seasoned steaks do not exist at this location. We always order the Outlaw Ribeyes. The server asked how our steaks were and I told him, bland. I didn't ask for a manager but he must have told her and she came by. I explained that we loved the boldly seasoned Longhorn steaks and she admitted they have dulled down the seasoning due to some complaints that the steaks were seasoned too well. I jokingly suggested telling those people to go to Texas Roadhouse if they wanted a bland steak. We have been back three more times since the first visit to see if the seasoning would return to that bold seasoning we loved at the Tucson location but it has been the same bland steaks each time. The cook of the steaks, the salad, bread, and they appetizers that we are used to getting all taste great. The seasoning has just not been there and the steaks are why we went there. Maybe we'll try it again in a couple years in hopes something changes. read more

My wife and I have decided that this is now one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Every time we have been here over the last year we are consistently met with excellent service, attentiveness, high quality food, and a lasting impression. Our last visit was just a couple of weeks ago, and for a weekday night the place was a quite busy. (Apparently we aren't the only ones who know quality is at the forefront of the menu.) We started with the stuffed mushrooms, having had them several times before, and they are usually phenomenal. We did notice, however, that the mushroom caps were unusually small. Like so small it was hard not to notice. So we felt kind of gipped on that, even though the flavor was second to none. On the other hand, our waiter suggested we try cinnamon butter with our bread, and now that we know it's an option we can never go back. Try it, you'll thank me! Steaks were cooked to perfection, salads were cool, crisp, and utterly perfect, and we left zero room for desert. That being said, we'll be back for sure! read more

I come here very frequently. Me and my family enjoy the food here. We always get the steaks. We only ran into issues a few time where the temperature of the steaks where off. I always order mine blue rare and they seem to never get it right. Other than that the drinks are good. The longhorn old fashion is my go to and my wife's is the mango margarita long pour. Service at times are a bit some especially on the weekends due to a-lot of people going. We have a favorite server when we go along with a favorite bartender. Ambiance is good. It's a bit loud inside when it's on a busy day. Other than that they have a large replica steer head gear the bar with long horns. Overall 8/10 and will continue to go. read more

The food was ok. I found the steak in need of seasoning and a little tough. Service left a lot to be desired. I ordered a bowl of Baked French Onion soup which the server never brought out until the end of the meal and only because I prompted him. He brought out a cup instead of bowl. The part of the service that was disturbing to me was when the server delivered our food. He took each hot plate and distributed to each customer expecting us to grab hot plates from across the table. This definitely runs the risk of someone getting burned. My sister arrived first and when my elderly mother and I arrived, we were greet by a younger gal as the hostess who had an attitude immediatey. I let her know we were meeting others. She had a snotty mouth and would not continue to help us in either way of seating or when I let her know we were meeting others. So we had to walk past her as I saw my sister already seated. As soon as we sat, my sister let us know about the issue she had with the hostess as well. I was shocked she had issues too. That was pretty disappointing. But on a lighter note, we had the BEST waitress! Her name was Brittany and she said she had just finished training but we couldn't tell. She was Great! We'd def go back to see her!
