Our party of eight arrived in two groups, and those who arrived first were told they had to wait until everyone was present before being seated. Fortunately, we were just down the road. Once seated, our server was fantastic--very helpful, offering great drink recommendations and answering all our questions. My daughter had a great time pointing out all the cowboy decorations that they had, I also noticed a little bit of seasonal decor over by the host stand. The appetizers were excellent, especially the fried onion, which I highly recommend! The children's cheeseburger was a great size, and we appreciated the generous portion of extra pickles--my daughter was thrilled! I ordered the 7oz salmon, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful, though my broccoli was a bit too salty. Others at our table also noticed some dishes were slightly over-salted, but overall, everything was delicious and well-prepared. Service was great, though refills could have been more frequent. However, our server seemed very busy with several large parties, so we understood. The meal ended on a high note with a special birthday dessert that was absolutely delicious! Despite minor issues, we had a great experience and would definitely return.

Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable experience trying out the lunch menu at Longhorn Steakhouse, which I highly recommend. The hostess and our server, Nick, made it incredibly enjoyable. I went there with my girlfriend we started with the appetizer of the wings which we were already craving. Perfectly seasoned and the sauces were on point. The entrees, which I have provided, were spot on. I will say that Med Rare is the way to go with all meats here I had to opt for a better burger than preffed, which clashed with the more dryer toasted bun and whatnot. We did have some complications with our meal but our server and the rest of staff handled it pretty well.

I've been here multiple times for lunch. The food is pretty simple. I've had the cheddar stuffed mushrooms (very cheesy), firecracker wrap entree (tasty), and strawberry pecan salad with grilled chicken which was alright. Service is okay kind of slow and the hostness paid no attention to us while we waited for assistance. Nothing really stands out here. This place has a western ambiance. I wish they had better choices for lunch options.

We had a great time at LongHorn. It gave me Lone Star vibes which is a steakhouse I miss but LongHorn was amazing. The food was so good and our server was on top of her game. She was so nice and attentive and overall we truly enjoyed everything and we look forward to going again!

Awesome grilling, the service wasn't all that but the flavor of the the offsets that little hiccup.

Rib Fest Review: Hell's Kitchen BBQ - 4.5/5 Stars…read more I recently attended Rib Fest in Chicago and made it my mission to sample barbecue from several vendors, including Robinson's, Texas Roadhouse, and others. One stop that truly stood out was Hell's Kitchen BBQ. The first thing I noticed wasn't the food--it was the energy. The team at the booth was welcoming, enthusiastic, and clearly proud of what they were serving. Their presentation was also impressive. Unlike many of the other vendors, they displayed exactly what customers would be getting, including portion sizes and plated examples. As a customer, I appreciated that level of transparency. I ordered the rib tips and fries because I had already purchased ribs from another vendor and wanted to compare different offerings. While I was waiting for my food, I struck up a conversation with the owner. When he learned I had ordered the rib tips, he smiled and said, "The tips are great, but you should have tried the ribs." When I explained that I was trying food from multiple vendors, he graciously offered me a sample. What impressed me wasn't just the sample--it was the generosity behind it. The portion he gave me was anything but small. Afterward, I tried both the rib tips and the ribs. The rib tips were outstanding. Tender, flavorful, and seasoned so well that they didn't need sauce. Every bite was packed with flavor. The ribs were equally impressive. Smoky, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The sauce had a little kick to it--something spice lovers will probably enjoy. While I personally prefer less heat, the spice wasn't overpowering and complemented the smoky flavor well. The fact that the ribs came fresh off the grill made the flavors even more intense. The fries were standard fries--good, but the star of the show was definitely the barbecue. What ultimately elevated this experience was the customer service. The owner was kind, approachable, and genuinely passionate about his product. That level of hospitality leaves a lasting impression. Food: 4.5/5 Customer Service: 5/5 Presentation: 5/5 Overall Experience: 4.5/5 If you see Hell's Kitchen BBQ at an event or have the opportunity to visit them, I absolutely recommend giving them a try. #RibFest #ChicagoFoodie #BBQReview #SupportSmallBusiness #FoodReview #BlackOwnedBusiness #ChicagoEats #TheSpedWhisper

As soon as you walk in, the counter is on the left, and they have a display plate behind glass that gives you a visual idea of what the meals look like--which I thought was a nice touch. They offer a good variety on the menu. I ordered brisket, a smash burger, rib tips, and ribs. The brisket and smash burger were excellent--definitely the highlights of the meal. The rib tips and ribs were good, though the ribs were a little on the dry side. All the meats had great flavor overall. Personally, I wasn't a fan of their BBQ sauce, but that comes down to individual taste. I'll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu--especially since quality BBQ spots are hard to come by in this area.

My husband and I have always enjoyed this place, which makes what happened this afternoon around…read more1:30 p.m. especially disappointing. I've been having some hearing issues lately, and the restaurant was extremely loud. We politely asked our waitress if we could move to the other room so I could hear better. She simply said, "No, it's closed," and then walked away before we could say anything else. We ended up sitting directly underneath the TV, wedged between three very loud tables. We noticed there was an empty area on the other side of the bar, so after waiting until the waitress was finished talking with other customers, my husband politely asked if we could move over there because it was quieter and would make it easier for me to hear. She completely ignored him. He asked again. She looked directly at him and said, "I don't have time for this," and walked away. At that point, we simply got up and left. I own a local business in Yorkville, right down the street from Burnt Barrel, and I would never allow one of my employees to treat a customer this way. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable--we were simply trying to find a quieter place to sit because I was having difficulty hearing. People have bad days, and I understand that. But there is never a reason to dismiss and speak to customers that way, especially when they are being polite. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be returning. It's a shame because we genuinely liked this place and had always enjoyed coming
