Great crispy wings and huge tasty portions! Buffalo's is definitely a mom and pop (in the late 80's) type place. Our server, Courtney, was extremely pleasant! She was just the type if waitress everyone hopes to have. We were immediately seated on a Saturday during lunch time. The parking lot was very crowded, but we luckily found a spot. As for the food, everything was great! As an appetizer we had the mozzarella sticks. They arrives hot and crunchy on the outside with a steaming gooey counter. The marinara was a little bitter, but that is just a personal preference. As for the entrees and the wings: great! Someone at our table annually visits the bar that created buffalo wings and he said the 'medium' and 'hot' are completely the same. Texture and all! I had the Parrot Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries and this place is all about the details. The chicken sandwich came with a wheat bun and condiments on the side automatically. Great thinking! And the sweet potato fries had a brown sugar (and maybe cinnamon) dipping sauce. As for the burgers, they were just as large and just as tasty. These portions were not very cheap but also not for the faint of heart! So it was a fair trade. Buffalo's also has pickles that everyone at the table enjoyed. All in all this place was delicious and of I could give it for and a half stars, I would! My only real caveat would be the very outdated decor but that doesn't compromise the food quality at all; only atmosphere and first impressions. Why not five stars? The food and service were both excellent, however Buffalo's didn't do anything original or innovative with the dishes distinguishing it from a, great, old school and traditional joint. read more

I have consistently eaten here for 3 years and I order the exact same thing. Unfortunately, today my order was brought out as boneless wings instead of traditional. I immediately notified the waitress and she went to correct the order. Apparently the manager told her not to because she had written boneless down. I spoke with manager and she asked if I ordered traditional. I told her that I was pretty sure I did but can't prove where the communication went wrong. She said that sometimes they replace orders but the waitress said that I ordered boneless and I was out of luck. I later asked the waitress if I ordered boneless because in our initial conversation neither of us was sure where the miscommunication happened. She said she said that to the manager but "she didn't listen to me". So I spoke with the owner and let her know that the manager had not replaced my order even when the waitress had not actually been certain I had misordered. The owner was unnecessarily defensive and basically said that since they were "trying to stay afloat" they weren't going to replace my 10 chicken wings. So I paid the tab and immediately left and gave my order to a homeless man. One less regular customer over 10 wings. Maybe customer service is why they are having money problems. read more

This place is great! One of our top 5 favorite locally owned places in the area. They have American red on tap which makes them a 5 in my opinion to begin with! The wings are huge and LOADED with whatever sauce you choose. The veggies are fresh and they aren't stingy with any of their servings. A full order of curly fries can serve 4 or more people for $3.50. The place has plenty of tv's and the AC is always cranked up. Very rude customer service. My husband chose to place a to go order from this place as he wanted me to try wings from the place that him and his coworkers regularly get lunch from. He was driving and asked me to order traditional wings. I thought that was a name for one of their flavors. I called and asked for 20 wings with half mango and half traditional. The lady on the phone was upset saying traditional is not a flavor. I said let me ask my husband cuz I didnt know what he meant. Then the lady on the phone said quote on quote "Your husband should have been the one placing this order then" I was speechless for a sec then told her he was driving. I understand that they maybe busy and I may have wasted 5 seconds of her time, but should she give me an attitude for that? I wish there was an ability to give 3.5 stars, because thats where I think my review should lie. I can't quite give it 4 stars, but it is a decent place. I'd heard that the wings were good here. They're ok, not spectacular. Probably the 3rd or 4th best Honey BBQ wings I've ever had, but... they're nowhere near the worst. For the type of restaurant that it is the setting is perfect. Our waitress was incredibly nice, helpful, and made the experience very nice. Also what really impressed me was the level to which they were willing to customize the cooking of their wings. Usually if you order wings on the crispy side the cooks just don't care and give you whatever they're making. Here the wings came out exactly as I'd ordered them. My only complaint is the amount of sauce the put on the wings before serving them, but that can easily be remedied. My advice to anyone is to order wings with light sauce if you don't want a basket of wings drowning in sauce. They also have a decent menu, their salads even are surprisingly good. Not amazing, but good portions and decent toppings. Tiny bit on the pricey side for the food quality, but overall it's a great place to stop in and get lunch. Great place for families. Service and prices are great. Wings are great but on Tuesday's wing ding all you can eat nights expect to wait 15 minutes between reoders which is how we think they keep you from eating a metric ton of wings. This place is a local hangout with great food and wonderful atmosphere. The wings are cheaper and taste better than other "chain" restaurants in the area, hands down. For that, they deserve a solid 4 star however, the last experience we had was embarrassing for everyone involved. I invited a friend for lunch to a place she had never been (buffalos reef, obviously). Half way through our visit, my guest realized she made a critical error when she placed her order, which we immediately got our server's attention to correct the issue. Long story short, eventually the kitchen manager or the manager on duty (her name is Dina) came to our table and rudely tried to push the incorrect order on my guest telling us that she can't resale the product and insisting she take the order she didn't want. When we explained that's not what we want, that it wouldn't get eatten and that we are willing to wait as long as it takes to correct the order, Dina throws her hands up and says "I'll just have to throw the product away, your order will be out". Uh? For the record Dina, we are your guest expecting a good experience and great food that we want to eat. My guest (who was completely embrassed and irritated by the treatment) admitted to the mistake and apologized vehemently to the server, to us and even to Dina and still was rudely asked THREE times if she was sure she didn't want the incorrect order. It was very awkward and but a damper on our meal. Dina, your waste is not our problem. Your first priority is to ensure your paying customers have wonderful experience from start to finish. I raved about this place beforehand and this was my friends first experience with the restaurant. Embrassing. Luckily the food was up to par as usual. I'm picky about my wings - I grew up eating them, and then went to college somewhere that had several good take out wing joints around that had great wings with a lot of variety for not a lot of money. My husband and I tried Buffalo Reef, and I think maybe because I've been eating the good stuff my whole life I wasn't impressed. I felt like we paid too much for what we got. The wings themselves were tasty, but to me they weren't phenomenal like everyone else seems to think they are. The decor is very college bar reminiscent and the service was ok. This is the second time I got a bad experience. The first time the girl that served us was, in my opinion, racist. As soon as she heard my accent, she went out of her way to not understand me to the point of asking my friend to translate!! I was just asking for hot sauce! But today's experience was just awful! I ordered a chicken tender wrap, I added the option of tossing them in hot sauce. When I received my food, the wrap was leaking sauce and oil, to the point where the flour tortilla was so soggy it would not hold my food. The tortilla was not grilled and therefore when soggy it became very doughy and chewy... not what I want in a wrap! So I told the waitress, who then decided to tell me: - if I didn't want a soggy wrap I shouldn't have asked for it tossed (their menu has this as an option). - I said then to please take back the wrap and grill the tortilla. She responds with I cannot take back food because it's against the law, you know cross contamination (what? right). -I asked if then I can get a new one done, with the tortilla grilled. She responds there is no way they can grill the tortilla because they have open fire grills (umm, ok?...) At this point I am so frustrated I am ready to give up and just not eat. My friend then suggests maybe getting a bun and making it into a sandwich. (notice it was my friend's idea, not the waitress). When she brings back the bun she tells me, "We even grilled it for you". (What?? you can grill a bun but not a tortilla??!!) Summarize the experience? I ended up with mediocre food, an upset stomach from getting annoyed, and a grease stain on my sleeve from the oil running down my arm like a river whenever I picked up the wrap. NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE! read more
