They must have had a new employee at the drive thru and the order was wrong. They were just ok. I would compare to a concession stand or gas station hot dogs. The fact that I drove past many chain burger places and this little one was still operating is a sign of good things to come. Walked into this tiny spot with three guys running the joint pumping out burgers like they know what they're doing! I order a double bacon cheeseburger with fries. Burger was everything you'd expect from a good burger joint messy greasy and full of flavor. The burger had a hint of this smoke flavor that isn't like any burger I've had. Sooooo delicious!!!! So I've seen these little spots here and there around the area and thought I'd give it a try. But I will just do this review for this location...you've had them once and you've had them all. It's like doing a review for somewhere like White Castle or Shake Shack. Staff: N/A - I did the drive-thru. Can't judge staff if you're just cruisin' through...unless they were THAT bad. Location - 4/5: Tiny locations, so blink and you miss it! But sometimes good things come from small packages. Food - 4/5: Wow and yum. Of course it's fast food but it's not crappily and carelessly made. The food I got back seemed to have some sort of care into putting it together. The meat seemed to be done well, stacked on good veggies. Now what caught my attention was an option available for burgers - A1 sauce. Mustard/Mayo/Ketchup is okay but this makes a good thing even better. Nice job! However I'm not sure if the ol' school greasy brown bag is a good thing or not... Pricing- 2/5: Good quality product for what you're getting. HOWEVER - my problem is with their pricing. They do the same method as Five Guys where you have to buy everything separately in order to make a combo. Might I suggest a combo menu at a set price set instead of swindling customers to spend more? Pretty annoying... Overall 3/5: Still a notch better than BK or McDonalds, but the choice is yours. Local dude's review of a local burger joint.... Tops has a few spots in the area, but I frequent the Niceville one & this review is for them. If you asked my what I thought of the Niceville Tops a few years ago I would have told you to prepare for disappointment at least in terms of the service. I had an extremely bad experience back then that was tied to a former employee who came within inches of getting his mouthy a** kicked one night and doesn't even realize it. I wont go on about it as he is apparently gone, and we, the loyal Tops customers are all the better off because of it. That said, not sure what happened about a year ago, but on a whim, I chose to give Tops one more try. Perhaps it was their burgers and tots...because they are the best around. Folks, we are talking old-school grease here. Nothing fancy or gourmet. This is that old mom&pop drive in favorite you remember your parents taking you to as a kid. Simple menu with great prices. My scores: Burgers: 5/5 Tots: 5/5 Fries: 3/5 (meh...the tots seriously dominate the potato playing field here, IMHO) Dogs: 5/5 Chicken sandwich: 4/5 Everything is made TO ORDER. Chili and slaw can be added to anything which is a wonderful, wonderful thing. The staff are as nice as they come. Very friendly to me and my family each and every time we go. I literally love tops when I'm craving that cheat day meal! Their burgers are good and their crispy chicken sandwich is a hidden gem! It takes a little bit longer to make so they usually tell me to park on the side and they bring it out in 10 mins or so.
