Paper menus on the order counter, lots of combos they offer they take your order and of course want a tip for taking your order dumb. I got the bbq bacon burger no cheese just a personal reason. With onion rings that they make fresh. Hamburger cooked good and the onion rings were really good even though a little greasy. Nothing special about the beef and I got basically 1 strip of bacon. My boyfriend and i came to try Cowhead because we are burger fanatics. To say these burgers were fantastic is an understatement, hence why the plates are empty in my photo. They were cooked perfectly and the condiments and toppings were so fresh, the side of fries was a huge portion. My Hubbs ordered a strawberry shake with his dinner and it is so good! Remember the scene in Pulp Fiction when Vincent asks Mia about the $5 shake...well this one is that good! I would not come back, even if I was starving and it was free. The only reason I'm giving them stars is customer service was average just like my review. They make their own breakfast sausage and deliver a very large amount. The first one was literally cold raw in the center, and it is pork. Walked in for a quick milkshake while walking on the strip, and it was delicious. I asked if the strawberry ice cream was fresh (as in at minimum having real strawberries) and he said yes! The Cowhead was probably the most mid burger place I went to out here. The food was pretty decent, at best. My burger was very bland and the cheese that was "stuffed" in the burger all slipped out right onto the table. Their menu was a pretty good size but most of the burgers kinda seemed the same. The best part of the meal I had was definitely the fries, the fries were very good honestly and would go back just again for them. The service here was pretty lame honestly. The guy working the counter was kinda forceful and pretty much rushing us to pick our food in the nicest way possible when it was our first time there so we had no idea what we wanted. The cook in the back also had AirPods in and was on his phone in between cooking and not washing his hands which is a big red flag to me and most likely other people as well. Overall, I'm probably not going to be going back to this place and will not recommend it to other people as well due to there being better burgers spots in the city of Fort Walton. read more

We were in town for a competition at the convention center and went afterwards to grab something to eat before heading back to the hotel, as we hadn't eating anything of substance all day. We walked in with maybe 45 mins before closing, which I already felt bad about, but the cashier reassured us we were fine. My daughter and I had milkshakes (mint chocolate and cookies and cream) and she and my husband had cheeseburgers, and I had Buffalo chicken eggroll bites, which were crispy and delicious. Oh MAN - Pancakes are downsized!!! What the heck!! This is our goto place for years on vacation for amazing breakfast and we were so hype for their pancakes and they are freaking tiny now!! If you go here for their breakfast and you always get 1 pancake for $5 - be prepared to be upset about getting shorted with a tiny meager pancake. Also their sausage is not good - heavy and not traditional breakfast sausage. Will likely not come back now because everything else is in parity with other breakfast joints. So Sad .... Here's a pic.
