Oh my, I kept driving by here and never stopped. Finally stopped and got a burger. They have a small menu and niche hours but my my their burgers are great. They do a smash style burger and everything is super messy and they lean into having a messy meal. Their fries are hand cut and shoe string, DELICIOUS, perfect seasoning. I tried their au jus was fantastic and meaty. I got the bacon burger and my other member got the BBQ burger. They had a raving review, though had to wash their hands lol. Awesome hidden gem on Eglin pkwy! Not a lot of space inside, and order at the counter kind of mom and pop spot. Food is amazing! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and WOW! Service was great especially for a lunch rush they got the food out super quick. When we walked in we felt like this is a local joint, which is what we were looking for. We have been here 3 times in two weeks. First time we asked what was their best seller and we were told the Smoked Bacon Cheddar burger so we ordered two along with a small fry to split. The small fries are enough for 4 people and they will tell you it serves 2-4. We have t had a good bar burger in a long time and this burger blew our socks off. Second time we ordered to bring home and had this burger along with a Ruben and fried bologna sandwich and fries. The fries are delicious and what I would call a shoestring fry. We enjoyed all 3 sandwich's but when we stopped back in a 3rd time we both ordered again the smoky bacon cheddar burger. Something about the slightly crispy edges of the burger hanging out from the bun and all its goodness inside the bun. Both times we ate inside we must have gotten there at just the right time because the place had a 3-4 people eating and we walked right up to the counter and by the time we put our order in we had 6-8 people behind us in line as the ta Les quickly filled up. My first trip with my son who raved about SAX. So I had high expectations and I have to say I was not disappointed. SAX is a local sandwich shop with a great sandwich menu. While I wanted a burger the Ruben caught my attention. My son had the Spicy Blue Cheese Burger. The service was awesome you order at the bar and the staff is friendly and prompt ! Love the high tables where you can meet new people while enjoying your meal. They were playing old classic jazz and blues. The Ruben was awesome - amazing thousand island - gooey Swiss cheese - tender corned beef and sauerkraut and perfectly grilled rye - their shoe string French fries were tasty especially with the male vinegar they provide. Will be returning soon to try the burgers which my son said was "the Bomb" - so check it out !! read more

This place is amazing. We random found it on our way back from a trip. The atmosphere is 50s or 60s. Old music playing and they give you a number that you stick on your table after ordering. The burgers are money!!! The fries are just right. One small fries is enough to feed 2 people. Highly recommend this gem. read more

LOVE! I absolutely love cheeseburger joints. If I was stuck on an island with one thing to eat it would definitely be cheeseburgers. You walk in and go directly to the counter to order. The sandwich.... Ummmm.... Less than appetizing. The bologna was pretty much a thin, waaaaay overcooked slice. Really thin. I haven't tried shoe leather yet but I can guess it was comparable. Now, this next part is on me. I have never had a fried bologna sandwich with Mayo (and mustard). As a southern staple, it's usually mustard. The over generous amount was enough to say, "no more". Disgusting amount of Mayo. If there is a Mayo shortage, now you know why. I scraped off what I could and it literally filled the bottom of the basket. The fries are pretty decent though! read more
