FOR A PLACE BUILT AROUND BURGERS/DOGS THIS WAS JUST SAD. Maybe try a hot dog or something. I don't know, but my burger was a monumental dud. It was served on an egg white coated brioche bun which gave it a somewhat leathery texture on the outside, soft on the inside. It came with a pickle slice, one tomato slice, a lettuce leaf, a slice of cheddar cheese, a tiny dollop of mayonnaise (you must ask for a side of ketchup and/or mustard), and the single most boring tasting burger I have had since the little league game I went to last summer. No juice. No flavor. The patty was not hot and tasted as if it were sitting in a warmer for 30 minutes before we came in. The burger came with fries (which we all agreed were the best part of our meals) and it cost $16. NO MILKSHAKES OFFERED, which given the theme of the restaurant is just a horrible oversight. I cannot imagine this place lasting long. So forgettable most people will likely only come here once out of curiosity, then go back to their favorite greasy, oozy, flavor-packed cheeseburger spot for a real burger. read more

I stopped in here recently on a whim. After looking at their menu and talking it over with the cashier, I settled on their Village Burger. It came with fries which was nice to not have to add it on. So we live out towards this area and I remember when all these little shops were being built. Finally got a chance to jump in and try one and it did not disappoint. Had my son with me and he was excited to see if they had elote, even though it wasn't labeled as elote it was labeled as corn, but once you read the description, you knew what it was if you know, you know. Everything was made fresh brioche buns came out amazing. Everything was super clean and well put together and these days getting a sandwich and fries for $15 or a complete kids meal on the same size bun for nine dollars is a pretty great deal. Granted it's still gonna be hard if you're trying to feed a big family going out to eat these days but I really didn't think that we got out for a pretty good deal. Grabbed an extra fry for myself because I had already eaten and the five dollar side of fries was huge. Very happy with that because I am a big quantity of food kind of guy. He was very good and it's nice to see how good they put it together. For the price you see on the menu they gave us two. Very nice people working there explained everything and a great experience. The burger was average but still good, and the fries were nice and crispy. We've been wanting to find a new burger place for a while now, so when I was on my way home one day I thought I'd stop in at Buhnz, since it was on my way. Lovely, friendly staff, good vibe, it seemed like the whole family was there. I looked over the menu and had to think for a moment. Wasn't it Bourdain who said "You have to ask yourself, when you are making a burger, 'am I actually improving this? It is already almost perfect, so am I making it better by putting things on it?'" Buhnz brings that question into sharp focus. The-woman-who-lets-me-live-with-her (thanks Mike), likes a mushroom Swiss burger. It's not that she isn't adventurous, its that she wasn't there to look at the menu and I wanted to start off with something familiar. No Swiss, no mushrooms. Now, they're not on the menu either, but they're pretty standard, aren't they? That's one of the three or four classic burgers. I got her the cheese burger, straight up, no pickles. It's a good burger, no lie. Juicy enough, maybe a bit too far down the smashburger trail (not enough thickness to retain any pink), but a good all around cheeseburger. Fries are also very tasty. I ordered the Buhnz Burger for myself. This is their eponymous burger, what are they going for? Everything, it would seem. Somewhere under a mountain of very tasty stuff there was a burger, nicely caramelized, tender and juicy. But it was under there somewhere. Everything tasted good. The people are friendly. The vibe is simple, but friendly, the rest is just my biases. Burgers are, to me at least, something that should be available my way, since they are so customizable. Buhnz has been one of those "we should try it sometime" places since it opened and finally just decided to go. Ordered the Buhnz Burger (because you have to) and a Street Dog and WOW, I'm blown away. The very first bite of burger had me already planning the next visit. So juicy and packed with flavor, stacked with Beef, pulled pork, bacon, and onion ring. The street dog was smothered in peppers, onion, and aioli. The fries can make or break a meal and these definitely made it, great texture and taste. I'd love to see them introduce a fry sauce cause everything else was amazing, but they do include a dish of ketchup to dip which was a nice touch. The price is a bit high but the meal was so tasty and portions so large that I don't mind spending a bit more to make this a regular spot. We tried out Buhnz, a new burger spot tonight and were so impressed! Everyone in the family really enjoyed the Village Burger--it was packed with flavor and cooked just right. The french fries also deserve a special shout-out: perfectly crispy on the outside and delicious all around. I also loved the corn on the cob--it was done to perfection! 5-stars! The service was excellent, and you can tell they really care about their customers. They're open to feedback and even plan to expand their menu based on what people want, which is awesome! So we stopped in here after a massage at McMenamins just down the road, looking for a good hot dog and what I found was pretty good. Only complaint was the bun was a little old and dried out. Could use something soft and fresh other than that it was a pretty good dog the dog itself was very good nice beefy, not greasy big and plump all beef just as it should be. I don't normally like my hotdog this big around, but this was an exceptionally good dog so it made it OK. Say the service was great. Two people were working. I think one was the owner who took our order and one was cooking seem to be having a good time. It really had pride in the place. You don't see that often anymore and it just made me feel good. Very cute place. If I lived in the area, I would try it more often and if I'm ever swinging through that area again, I probably will Plus the price was quite reasonable for the amount of food that you got. read more

The staff are very friendly and seem to care a lot about their customers having a good experience. Their all beef sausage hot dogs are huge (footlong), and the "Buhnz" are perfect - soft, fluffy, and toasted on the grill, served with a side of crispy battered street fries. The Jambalaya dog comes with grilled street corn instead of fries, a large grilled jalapeño, and JUMBO shrimp. Expect to pay sit-down/cart prices ($15 for the standard street dog combo, $22 for the jambalaya combo, currently), but with the size and quality, they give you your money's worth. I think it would be a great idea for them to offer a "half dog" at a lower price for young kids. We got whole dogs and took our leftovers home, but I think it would draw in more customers if they see that they can get a 1/2 combo for cheaper. We will be back to try more options in the future - in addition to hot dogs and burgers, they also have a chicken sandwich and a vegetarian Beyond Burger option on the menu.
