We received confirmation texts showing my appointment at 11:00 a.m. and my husband's at 11:15 a.m. We arrived 15 minutes early, only to find out that my husband's appointment had been changed to 7:30 a.m. without any notification. I showed the staff our confirmation text, but was simply told it was "booked wrong" and that he would need to reschedule. There was no apology or accountability, despite us both taking the day off work. The clinic itself was also extremely disappointing. The facility was run-down and dirty, with visibly worn broken furniture, and dirty used water cups throughout the office. The overall condition of the office did not give us confidence in the quality of care. So maybe it was a sign. After this experience, we feel we're better off finding a different provider. I signed up with Humana several years ago only because they had an MD at this location, near to my home. I had a bad experience with a DO years ago who misdiagnosed a serious condition I had that led to a life long disability that could have been avoided if it had been diagnosed and treated by an MD (the spinal manipulations he did made my serious spine issues worse). If you choose to be treated by an MD, the Centerwell location on S. Ft Apache can't do it. If you are on Medicare, chose your next plan wisely this fall.

The waiting area is very small and doesn't seem to have very good air conditioning (they did have a supplemental fan). The interior is definitely nothing fancy. A very basic medical office. The staff are quite friendly and cordial as is Dr. Byer himself, and I am always in and out quite quickly! Don't forget the confirmation number from your FAA online application. They will need this for your medical certificate to be issued. This is a great choice for your FAA medical certificate!
