I think bears are created during intercourse by their parents, rather than being built in a Mall by humans, but hey - what do I know. Build-A-Bear stores are super expensive - but super cute! This one is right at Galleria Dallas and is a little on the pricey side but still has some great stuff inside like all the Pokemon cuddly toys. We ended up spending a good 20 minutes in here when it was supposed to be 5. So we obviously really like the store but like I said Build-A-Bear stores are super expensive but super cute! read more

The saddest build a bear ive ever been to... we didnt get greeted, nobody cared we were there... we had to ask for next steps, they didnt even offer to help... and when we told them what it was for we just got stared at... they were more focused on themselves and showing things on their phones than helping... the lady who helped was ok but these workers are clearly burnt out.... read more

Was here yesterday, and the line was taking a little long so my two year old got off from his stroller, and started playing with the miniature basketball accessory that is made with foam while waiting, and I heard the staff behind me whispered "please don't throw our stuffs", and I told her it's okay we're buying it, and the staff passive aggressively said "well I just don't want anyone to get hit" mind you it's a two year old playing with a very small, foam ball trying to enjoy while waiting in line I can understand if my son was playing rough but he was just gently playing alone not even near anyone. The only decent employee was the one filling bears, the other two there were just standing around while the line was wrapped all the way around the store. My son wasn't able to even do the full heartbeat ceremony and we left 30 minutes after close because, again, only ONE person was actually filling the bears. We were in line for an hour and a half if not longer and the cashier was rude to us and the person behind us. The person behind us was also made to pay card instead of cash like she had wanted because the cashier had already closed the registers. Overall, an absolutely terrible experience for us, but our kid loves his bear, so there's that. read more

I've never in my life been treated so rudely by a store employee--I guess it's only appropriate that it happened "where best friends are made." I waited twenty minutes in line to buy my little cousin her bear, only to be accosted by a store employee who aggressively and condescendingly accused me of line-cutting when my family came to join me. We're just buying the one bear, can't a family wait in line together? Even when the employee realized she was clearly wrong in this situation, she chose to act pedantic and magnanimous rather than apologizing, telling me "I'll let you stand right here" in the most condescending tone. As if she were gifting the spot in line to me, as if I hadn't earned it myself by waiting twenty minutes in line to give this store my money. Build-A-Bear must be proud of this employee--she sets such a great example for all the children who go into that store, when all they want is to have a good time, be happy, and take home a new best friend. read more

One of the employees named Gizell received us and acted very different with us than with other people from the moment we arrived. We asked her multiple times to sell us a birthday hat that was in display and she denied, when in other shops they have offer to sell us articles that are on display since they are the last ones they have available. read more

If you're reading this, take your money to a different build-a-bear workshop. The entire premise of this company is to do more than provide a bear- it's to give the child and their family a fun, interactive experience. Some of the workers there are not trained whatsoever to maintain order in the store, which lead to much disorganization. The woman in particular that addressed the issue was condescending and yelling right in my face IN FRONT of my child and the rest of the children there. How ridiculous and inappropriate. If you want a place where you'll get the experience part that you're paying for, this is NOT the place. read more

Decided to take my 2 year old, and I arrived 2 min before closing. The staff was super friendly, even though I arrived close to closing. They where very respectful & interacted with my 2 year as she was stuffing the cotton. I will say even though I did arrive that late, never did it feel rushed. The staff is very professional and as well helpful. I did walk out with several boxes and where nice enough to offer help. read more

This place was one of the busies Build a Bear I have been to. I was not in there to build anything this time as I think it would have taken awhile to get it done considering the line. I was there to purchase my sone an outfit for his bear that he built. The prices are reasonable but if you go in there be prepared to spend a lot if you are there to build. The bears come in all different types and most importantly they have the accessories and thats where it gets expensive. Not that the items cost a lot it is just there are so many different thing - sounds, clothes, skates, glasses, bags, beds and on and on... Will I go back that is almost guaranteed I have a 2 year old that loves the place and is becoming a pro at bear building. read more

I had amazing experience with my child and her friends, as a mother of children probably to old to be going to build a bear I found it absolutely wonderful the way the staff were treating the kids. They had an amazing time making their bears and procedeed to have a great time making their second bear after the staff kindly allowed them to change their bear and assured them it was ok by saying "the build a bears could be models." Staff at this location (store # 329) is excellent. Especially Christina. She was very friendly and helpful. I had a stuffed toy dog that a real dog got a hold of and tore its nose and eyes. This toy was not from Build-A-Bear, yet they accepted it and fixed it without charge. I was willing to pay for it, but they insisted. I will definitely be back. read more

It's a cute shop that my son absolutely adores. Luckily they have great sales, but watch your kids, if left alone, they'll pick out a million things and you'll be in trouble; as the accessory can cost a small fortune. We save this as a special occasion stop. You can be a bit cynical but try and brush it aside and remember you're doing this for memories. read more

Got a kid? Bring them here. I brought my 2 year old little sister here because I had such good childhood memories of Build-A-Bear. First, we went to pick a unstuffed plush. They sell all kinds of animals here. Dogs, Cats, Bears, they even sell well known franchise characters such as Sonic and Pikachu. I picked Sonic, and my sister picked a pink bear with a heart shaped nose. We went to the stuffing step. While on our way, my sister saw the sound machine, and played around with all the sounds. Then, it was our turn to stuff our plushies. (The line was huge!) Let me tell, you the process is GREAT. First, they stuff the plush, and tell you to hug it to see if you want to put more stuffing or take some out. Then, (My sister loved this part) the employee told us to pick a heart and do all kind of actions with it such as rubbing it on your side so your plush is always on your side. It was cute, my sister was laughing the whole entire time. As soon as our plushies got stuffed, it was time to dress them up. This is where your price skyrockets due to there being SO much clothing items, that your child will want to buy them all. Luckily, we both only chose one clothing item. I got a Sonic the Hedgehog shirt, and my sister got a Peppa Pig dress. My mom took a picture of my sister with her bear. Finally, we had to make the birth certificate for our plushies. This is where you get to name your plush. I named mine Ironic, and my sister named her bear Peppa. Finally, we purchases our plushies, and we went our merry way. I absolutely recommend bringing you children here. (If you can afford $50-$100) The staff are so nice, the experience is so memorable, and you really get to Build-A-Bear! read more
