High recommend The Modesto Children's Museum to anyone with kids. I first visited as a teacher with…read moremy PreK/TK aged students during a few yearly class field trips. The kids LOVED the climbing structure and big slide AND the water room. The museum also has a light room where children can manipulate magnatiles and create colorful light projections. There's a shopping/store area where children shop, play in the juice bar area, and ring up customers. The air flow area where children can use air to make beach balls float and color scarves shoot through vacuum tubes and fly. There are a couple areas that alternate themes and activities. There are family bathrooms. There's a low stimulation room if your child needs a sensory break. This room also doubles as a nursing room. Every single employee is incredibly kind and helpful. I loved MoChiMu so much that I got my 1 year old a membership for her first birthday so now are regular and attended our first story time at closing the other night. We mostly stay in the little rainbows area that is specifically for children 0-3. They can climb, play with light projector to make colorful projections on the wall, manipulate the giant colorful light bright wall, read books, or rock or bounce on the other movement toys. The museum is probably ideal for kids when they start crawling and seeking movement to maybe 7/8 depending on the child's interests and developmental age. My baby loved watching other children and listening them talk and play at around 6 months, and now she's climbing all over the little rainbows area and walking around to look at and explore the rest of the museum. Anywho, check it out when you can. Yearly membership's go on sale sometimes too so look out for that. You can also get 4 free tickets once a year if you have an adult library card through the discover and go page.

For a Saturday there wasn't too many kiddos so it was felt very spacious and not too cluttered with kids. For $30 for me and him, I'd say it was a great price. Staff were also very nice and friendly!

He was very enthusiastic and you could tell he takes his job seriously. He has a very positive attitude and was very kind when he let us know that we needed to switch tables. He was a big part of making the whole experience a great one. He deserves a big bonus! We miss the animatronics being there but we know most every location has had to remove them. Despite that, it was very full and all the families were having fun. The prices are very reasonable and a good value compared to other family fun spots in the area. We like that this location has been open as a Chuck E. Cheese's for so long. Much has changed but it's still nostalgic. The salad bar and pizza are good.

Be advised that if you plan on having your children enjoy the indoor play area, there is n additional 15$ charge and your child is required to be under 56 inches in height, no exceptions. We decided not eat, but the there are plenty of tables to dine at including community style tables for celebrations and parties. The pizza smelled and looked amazing and the salad bar and drink station were well kept. All in all, this will probably be my location of choice for future visits. With Gratitude, Vanessa

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience truly broke my heart…read more I enrolled my 3-year-old son in this gymnastics program hoping it would be a positive, welcoming space where he could learn, grow, and interact with other children. My son is autistic, and like any parent, I'm doing everything I can to help him feel included and comfortable in the world. Before starting, I made the staff aware of his needs. Instead of patience or understanding, what we experienced was the complete opposite. The instructors displayed unprofessional and hurtful behavior--making uncomfortable looks, using hand gestures to signal him to go away, and essentially excluding him rather than supporting him. No child should ever be made to feel like they don't belong--especially in a place that's supposed to encourage growth and confidence. Watching this happen to my son was devastating. I understand that not every instructor is trained to work with children who have different needs--but that is exactly why proper training and awareness are so important. If you're going to work with young children, compassion, patience, and inclusivity should be the baseline. I share this so other parents are aware. Every child deserves kindness, respect, and a chance to participate without judgment. I hope this business takes this seriously and invests in educating their staff so no other child or parent has to go through this.

Not a obstacle course like they mention. Could of keeper the doors open because it was hot and it was not so great in the smell. For the set up was told it will be decorated for birthday child nothing was decorated besides the white board that said the birthday name. And the same rainbow balloons they say the keeps for many parties. Couldn't even serve our own food. Don't like asking for 2nds or not being able to help younger children getting food. Or being able to get our own drinks when we wants because if we stood up we be told to sit down. And especially not being able to set up cake and goodies we had. Not a great experience.
