During lunch today, I popped into Lighting Inc. to check out their selection of chandeliers. I understood they were having a sell, so I was all in. Lighting Inc. had a good assortment of chandeliers. Abraham and another sales person greeted me as soon as I walked into the store. Abraham also showed me how to look online for even a greater selection. This was super helpful. I explained that I would be having my maintenance tech make the purchase and arrange delivery, that I was just confirming what company had the lowest price to expedite the process so that when he finished the job he was working on he would know where he was going to pick up the materials. I can understand not selling the products to unlicensed amateurs but not being able to quote a price to the person who has to make the decisions about where money is spent I promise you is a huge mistake.

This is an ACE hardware store coupled with a tasteful, high end and carefully curated and presented homeware selection, including tableware, gardening supplies, greeting cards, candies and candles and one of a kind objects for the home. A $2,400 candelabra, a Smeg toaster, an excellent selection of flatware, tablecloths and glassware... pretty pajamas, $90 votive candles... But what to do if you want to know the price of that set of Wedgewood china, or the Rialto flatware? Prices are missing on so so many objects. And you cannot find a staff member... And you only have so much time before you need to meet mom for lunch. Ah well. Many of us are trying to ween ourselves off of online shopping. Retail stores... this is your moment to recoup some ground.

Hopefully corporate reads these reviews and uses it as an opportunity to hire different managers and/or train the staff better at this location. I learned from on of the sales associates, Marley, that CB stands for Crate & Barrel...parent store. CB2 Domain Northside store sells sleek, modern and eye-catching furniture. According to a sales associate, due to the store's heavy foot traffic (Next door to the Apple Domain Northside store), they design window displays to grab the attention of potential shoppers. CB2 sells a selection of sofas, tables, dinnerware and other modern furniture and housewares. The store appears a bit eclectic, which I like. They had some usual shaped vases and unique coffee table sculptures. I purchased 4 water glasses that were on sale as I have broken at least that many over the last few months. These glasses were $2.50 each and made in Poland.

We swapped out our existing chrome faucets for gold hardware, and the difference is night and day. The previous faucets had a very sleek, almost Star Trek-ish look (a fun nod to my hubby, who is a serious sci‑fi fan), but they no longer fit the direction the bathroom was taking. Once the rest of the space came together, it was clear the chrome felt out of place. The new gold faucets align beautifully with the overall design and add warmth and elegance to the room. They tie everything together in a way the chrome simply couldn't. What felt like a small change ended up making a big visual impact, elevating the finished space and giving it a more cohesive, intentional look. If you're on the fence about switching hardware finishes, this is proof that even after the "big" remodel work is done, thoughtful finishing touches can truly transform the final result. I was literally wowed when I walked into their showroom last Saturday. It was a mecca for everything home. Honesty, if you can't find it here, I don't know where you can. The only quibbles I have is that they do have departments and specialists for each department. I worked with Aaron in appliances but he could not help me with anything other than appliances. I also spoke with Kelly the day before by phone--both extremely pleasant to work with. Their computer system is not tied into their floor inventory, and apparently hard for even their staff to navigate, making identification of available stock on floor challenging without eyes on. Their desk phones are not wireless, so checking on an item on the floor means holding or calling back from cellular. This is a small, family-owned business. Now that Harway is no longer family owned and a part of the Ferguson brand, the choices for shopping local are dwindling. But don't let family-owned mean expensive. They price match with big box and offer much better service to compete strongly. Although I did not buy that day, I have them in mind for a couple of items. Recommended. Five stars.
