They do not accept coupons that ACE uses on their app or mailing. It means nothing to them. 2. They do not honor military service like other ACE stores. Not on Veterans or Memorial Day. Not ever. Which is crazy because this is WA with active bases all over this state. 3. Got a Weber grill and propane tank. The tank leaked and the gauge didn't work. Brought back the next day, and they tried to blame the tank fill on Bay Hay & Feed. Said the gauge never really works on them accurately... blah blah. Did not want to exchange the tank. Basically had to hold my ground as a customer with a receipt less than 24 hours after initial sale. They were very unprofessional about it but eventually exchanged. The tank was leaking so bad in the car ride over mind you, all windows had to be opened and we left the tank outside the store doors when conducting the exchange. The manager wanted to actually inspect and attempt to fix the tank and give it back to us. WTAF? Seriously? What happened to honoring the customer who has chosen to spend money in your store? 4. After all this went back a couple months later to buy a small part. Needed to use the restroom. The sign for bathrooms is clearly marked. The door was blocked by piled up boxes with a sign saying...Not working/available indefinitely... the door directly across which is obviously a bathroom as well, is marked Employees Only. When I asked to use restroom, I was told to go across street at Walgreens or the McDonalds. Ummmm ..... here is the deal.... I'm not spending money in those stores. I chose yours for business. Seriously? On Bainbridge Island of all places, is using the restroom that big of a deal? Do not spend your money here no matter how convenient you may think the location is. Take the 20 min drive to Poulsbo or Silverdale.

Just today, I went in for some 2x4's and not only do I have to pick through their material to find something straight and with minimal knots, but their yard guys are rude. I can get similar lumber at Home Depot for less money and less attitude from their staff. When I can plan ahead, I will be ordering from Carl's Building Supply.

Here is a 'shout out' for JOSH WOOD, a Great Floors (GF) Rep in Silverdale!…read moreA while back, I went into Great Floors in Silverdale as a first-time buyer of flooring, and the Rep who initially helped me was ED MURILLO. We discussed the cost of the flooring of which I was interested in purchasing, and I told him I might just purchase the flooring and have someone else do the install. I asked him if they would give a discount to the outside installer for the flooring. He said yes if he was eligible. Then later, after thinking about it, I asked if he would give ME the same discount if I had GF to do the install. I was appalled at his response. He had an immediate personality change and raised his voice to me and very rudely said 'NO!', that the company had to pay HIM, they had to keep the lights on, and yadeyadeyada and so on. I felt his behavior was totally inexcusable, and I felt belittled as I sat there speechless. It made no sense to me that they could give the outside installer a discount but not the customer who would have had the company to do the installation. In either event, if it was okay to give the outside installer the discount, but yet not work with me for the same discount and get GF business. He would still need to be paid and they would still need to have the lights on. A few days later, I went back to GF to return a wood sample board. As I walked in, Ed was not present, but GF Rep, JOSH WOOD, was there to kindly and politely help me. A HUGE difference in night and day with salesmanship! I told him I was just returning the sample to ED, and that I had decided to go elsewhere to purchase my flooring. He asked me if there was anything he could do to change my mind. I told him of my personal experience with Ed and that I was not happy. He asked me to sit down and see what he could do to keep my business. JOSH gave me an incredible discount on my purchase because of my bad experience with ED 'to keep my business'. He even took the time with me to discuss the different qualities of flooring of which Ed didn't seem interested in doing without my asking. JOSH offered his personal opinion on flooring selections that would work well with my carpet color. I made my purchase with JOSH and was extremely happy with my dealings with him. I just wish I had read the GF reviews BEFORE my first trip there as at the time, there were all sorts of outstanding reviews about JOSH WOOD! He would have been my pick in the first place. Without Josh earning my business, I would have taken my business elsewhere. And guess what! I am now ready to make another flooring purchase, and it will definitely be with JOSH WOOD just because of his good manners and professional salesmanship. GF is very fortunate to have him as an employee!

(Now I know it did not need it) Something didn't seem right but I had them do it. The driver was gruff to say the least. I decided to have my tank looked at. With a strong recommendation from a plumber I know I called Sweetwater Septic. A small husband and wife operation. Dave the owner came out and did a through inspection, took a sediment level test and told me our tank did not need pumping and because we use good septic practices. He was a wealth of information and inspected my black water pump at no additional charge. After Dave found out I am a Veteran he gave me a Veteran discount. His price was very reasonable. Dave gave me a copy of the county septic report, and original drawings when the home was built. I highly recommend Sweetwater Septic and will always call them from now on.

When we started the project it took over a year to find the right builder. We wanted someone we felt we could trust, who could fit our budget, was creative and resourceful without sacrificing quality, and someone easy to work with. Justin and his crew were all those and so much more. The work they do is meticulous. Every detail is well thought out. Not only could we trust and lean on them to make the right decisions on our behalf because we were so busy with work during the process, but they came up with countless ideas and suggestions that enhanced the home, yet magically within budget. Now after living in the home for 8 months we are still in awe with this amazing home we are living in that totally surpassed what we originally envisioned. As we are a business we had a specific time we needed the stain because we have to close our business while we stain the deck. We ordered in plenty of time and the stain arrived as expected. The issue is that we ordered a specific quantity but by the time we could get to the store to pick up the stain they had sold 2 of the 8 gallons ordered. This puts us in a bind because we can't get more stain in time. This is truly poor customer service. I don't know why you would sell stain from a customer's order. Now we will have to make 6 gallons work where we needed 7. Very disappointing.

The insert swap out took a few hours and the installers where polite with a positive attitude. I had previously purchased all the material I needed to refurbish the old insert for the last 2 seasons ( firebrick, paint, etc. ) before we committed to replacement. Office staff is friendly and accommodating. They do a great job with quoting - in person or through email. I feel that the prices are competitive and I really got a good value on the new wood insert. I buy the pressed wood logs from them as a supplemental wood source - they carry them year round. They will close the parking lot while they unload a incoming log shipment , but just come back in an hour and they'll get you taken care of.
