Fortunately I checked their hours online and saw they were closing in ~40 min. Since it was kind of close to closing, it would have been good if the employee had let me know the closing time so I could make sure I didn't wander too far away or get distracted shopping in another store while I waited. Overall pleased with this store and service though. It was my first time visiting. Oh, I also like that they saved my color in their computer so I can ask for it again without bringing in a sample!

When I gave him my business card for the contact details, Juan noticed that I'm a realtor and asked if I buy paint often. I explained that I buy paint for my sellers who need to freshen things up before marketing their homes. Juan suggested a professional discount that I can register for and save myself and my clients money. Juan was very professional and gave me the same customer focused service that he'd give to all his customers during the business day. Then he left in a huff, and the girl with the pretty blue and purple hair was very nice, but gave me an inaccurate information. I asked her for a specific color, I had the name and the code, and she told me that they were not able to make that paint or give a sample, it was probably discontinued. Even when I saw online Benjamin Moore was selling the sample online (for a $1 cheaper btw), and she still said it wasn't doable. Ordered the sample online for pick up at Camarillo Catalina Paints. Picked it up the next day, and what do you know as I walk in to pick it up? Someone is in there complaining about how bad the Ventura store is. Additionally, the color I asked for was available to sample or buy, they were super nice, and even gave me another paint recommendation based on what I was saying. What a difference! Wish Ventura would get their act together. I'll drive to Camarillo.

I had bought…read morearound $1000 worth of paint in the last few days and I called ahead to get the store to mix up some more paint to finish the job. My painters were waiting at the job site to get the paint. A woman who eventually identified herself as "The Manager" provided me some of the worst customer service I have ever had from a retail store in many years. Her name is Aliza Aldatzi and she was rude, curt, arrogant and just totally lacking in customer service skill. In the past experiences at this store I have never seen her and my orders were taken by "Johnny". I buy a lot of paint as I remodel homes but I will make sure I avoid this Vista Paint store because who needs more bad service in their lives?

So if you're getting lumber it's in the back and you load your car with it. There should be a few…read morepeople in the back on a busy day. When you're done with the wood, someone is usually watching you and they know when you're done usually. Or you can just let them know you're done and you want your form with the wood you got counted. Then you drive back out and park your car to pay inside. Then when you leave that parking lot, you give the guy in the shack your form and the receipt. Then he recounts your wood again. Then the little arm lifts up and you're out. You can rent a lot of tools inside but it's a bit expensive if you rent it for a long time. Might as well buy the tool and resell it on marketplace at that point. There's some drop in showers you can buy here. Also some sink options. There's a bathroom inside if you need to go.

They even have a Garden section! Associate Nick was quick to greet me and show me what I'd missed, the frozen pies!! What!!?? The BBQ dry rubs and marinates!! This place has it all. The staff here was so attentive and friendly it made it easy to shop around. For a female it can be intimidating attempting going to a hardware store. At checkout Sydney helped me sign up for their rewards program, I will definitely be coming back. I'd rather come here than those big wherehouse hardware stores! You can never find anyone to help you there and being lost seems to be par for the course.
