You can tell she is genuine and truly cares about you, your vision, and your overall eye health. Not only did she get me amazing glasses and a great prescription, but she also offers specialized scleral hard lens custom fittings. I have keratoconus, and it took a few sessions to get the right fit, but I have never been able to see this well until now! It is a total game-changer. Havent needed glasses for most of my life, but was starting to feel like I could benefit from an eye examination and an evaluation for glasses. I came in during a lunch break, Dr. Bui and her staff were very friendly and considerate of my time crunch. Due to my rushing, I ended up choosing a pair of glasses that I ultimately didn't like, and Dr. Bui exchanged them for any glasses that I wanted, free of charge! This was excellent service. Only comment is that my initial bill seemed a bit pricey. These are my first glasses with prescription, and I only have eye insurance and not vision, so I might not have the best reference point. I recently moved to the La Mesa area and needed a new optometrist -- I'm so glad I found Buitique! As a procrastinator, I was looking to squeeze in an annual exam toward the end of the year. When I called to make an appointment, I had the expectation that I'd probably have to wait at least a week or so but the receptionist Jennifer was able to book me in for that week. I appreciated how thorough Dr. Bui is, especially as she explained the different tests and how I did. I always have so my questions at doctor's appointments, but she welcomed all of mine with no hesitation. She seems to really care about her patients and building a rapport with them. Dr Bui is simply the best! I was seen in their office for the first time a month ago. I struggled with itchiness and redness but truthfully I scheduled the appointment to do a routine vision check. They not only checked my vision and my current prescription glasses, but Dr Bui has been treating my ocular allergies and it has made all the difference in the world. Exceptional service! Jennifer is always warm and welcoming when checking in for an appointment as well as picking out glasses. They aren't transparent about pricing. I came in for an annual exam and was charged $50 plus they tried pushing a $220 pair of blue light glasses on me. I can get those for $10 on amazon. I called my insurance to ask why my copay was so much and they called the office while I was on the line and they said I was schedulers for an annual exam and retinal imaging. I never asked for retinal imaging or was told I was having it done, let alone costing extra! read more

This place is no good... I missed my appointment due to work. Called spoke to Jennifer and I apologize. She told me she didn't have anything available until Wednesday the 27th then I let her know I need to be seen sooner if possible may I get a sooner appointment & she said she can squeeze me in on the 26th. I asked her when when I called couple days ago to reschedule I was able to get so many options & she sound irritated and stated " cus I don't have any appointments, everyone wants an appointment" I hung up on her. 1. Because I know she took me missing my appointment today personal. 2. I don't like her customer services approach.. I had a bad experience with her before regarding my files and I deleted my bad review due to speaking with the new doctor and she explain to me with better communication why they weren't able to locate my files.. I thought I'll give this place another chance but the customer services is still poor. 3. I know there was an earlier appointment she could've given me before the 26th. Please cancel my Friday appointment.. I went to several Optometrists offices in hopes of turning my sunglasses into my prescription everyday glasses as I like the frame. After many places telling me they wouldn't be able to put lenses into existing frames I grew frustrated. A lot of these establishments would show me "comparative" frames, the problem is I don't want to spend more money then I already had to. I stumbled on Dr. Levy Phillip's office, I called them and they said they would be able to put lenses in my existing frames. I wanted to be sure, so I bought my frames in and spoke with a pleasant woman by the name of Jennifer. Jennifer looked at my glasses and confirmed what she told me over the phone. Jennifer also explained to me why a lot of places wouldn't place lenses in existing frames. I was able to make an appointment for the following week to get a vision exam. Dr. Phillip was very kind and explained the examination process and it was a breeze. I was able to get updated an updated prescription and new glasses in about 7-8 working business days.
