Just ate dinner here for the first time and my family loved it! The menu is super creative so everyone will find something that sticks out to them! The couple that runs this place are super friendly and you can tell they opened this restaurant because they love what they do. My husband got the Doc Holliday and I got the Philly the Kid. I had a lot of studying to do today and was looking for food, WiFi and a plug for my phone. Found all of that, and more, here. Had a regular hot dog with chili, jalapeños and Mac and cheese. About halfway through I told myself I needed to stop eating and save the rest for later, I was full. I could not. It was so delicious. I ate it all! This place is awesome! Our table tried a corn dog, Montgomery TX hot dog, chili cheese hot dog, grilled cheese with bacon, tater tots, chocolate shake, and strawberry funnel cake. All were great. Definitely going back to try more things. The seating is pretty limited, but works for the quick turnover. You go to a table, fill out your own ticket, bring it to the counter, and drinks are in a cooler case. The workers were very friendly and all the food was fresh and made to order. Unique and solid eatery in Montgomery area. Took my kids here and wasn't disappointed. The food is sort of a food truck fair. They call it carnival food. Basically great hot dogs which are then topped with nice ingredients. The sides are good and the prices are fair. The food is all cooked fresh. My husband has made the American tour of the hot dogs from Chicago to the Philly to right here in Montgomery he gives all 6 five plus stars. I ordered the chicken and funnel cake waffles both times because it was so good the first time I needed a repeat. I thought it may be the best choice ever until I tried the buldogies bacon , Mac and cheese... there are NO WORDS to describe the first bite of this multi sensory experience , it was so incredible the second bite was necessary to confirm that it was indeed that amazing. The owners Jamie and Brie are incredibly welcoming, love to engage and interact with their customers and are genuinely invested in the feedback of their customers. Delicious carnival treats! If you want a light meal, there is nothing here for you though. The hotdogs were very tasty with lots of topping choices. The buns were lightly toasted and a little sweet. The fries were awesome: thick, spiraled, covered in chili and cheese. We also shared a dessert churro in an eclair like a hotdog with light airy strawberry ice cream. Tonight we went to Buldogies & the food was pretty good. But our entire dinner was disrupted by the owner's rude behavior towards his employees and customers. He was so mean to this young kid who stayed calm and respectful the entire time. He was also rude to anther customer about silverware. It was the entire time and the customers beside us agreed as my 8 year old was saying how mean the guy was. We didn't even want to order ice cream after because we were worried he would be rude to the kid again. It bothered me so much I nicely went up to the guy (who I didn't know was the owner) when we were finished and told him the food was great but we would not be coming back due to how he treated people. He said they were busy but that doesn't matter. (There were 2 other people by that time in the restaurant). He didn't care what I said and continued to get mad at me. He came from around the counter and was still getting mad. As I left, I thought about that poor kid and how I probably made it worse for him. So sorry to him! I never have posted a bad comment anywhere but I just don't think people should be so rude and expect to stay open when there are so many other places. read more

Wow what a great place. Great hotdogs, sweets and carnival food. I had the New York City Dog and a Chicago Dog. Nice Texas toast style buns with Nathan's or Hebrew hotdogs are a phenomenal combination. My son loves the chili cheese dog with loaded dogie fries. The fries are homemade chip style load with bacon, sour cream, cheese and chives. No matter how you like your hot dog they do it here. They also have things like funnel cakes, fried snickers, root beer floats and churros. You will not be disappointed. The only thing I can see that might slow this place down is the small space. Went here for lunch with the family. It's a bit small but has plenty of seating. Staff is exceptionally friendly. My hotdog was the sundance, which highlights an over easy egg on top, if my egg was cooked correctly it would have been a great hotdog, but the egg was overcooked and therefore no golden liquid over my hotdog. skip the loaded fries, and the deserts are not worth it. The malt was a bit soft and not enough malt, because much of it was left in the bottom of the cup and not mixed. I am glad we went, it's not a multiple visit kind a place. 2 speciality hotdogs, 2 plain, 1 plain with bacon, 1 malt, loaded fries and 2 funnel cakes (under cooked), 3 bags of chips (Zapps). $50 driveout. I have been to Buldogies in the past and always had a great experience. The food is always good. Tonight however, proved to be the complete opposite. Their FB page advertised that they would be open on July 4th and would even be open late while the fireworks display was going on across the way. At about 9:30 I walked in to buy some drinks and when I went up to the counter a man rudely told me they were closed. Uhhh ok, the door was open and patrons still inside eating but they were closed? Ok - guess he decided to pick and choose who he wanted to offer service to. Well, I can pick and choose too and I will choose another place for now on. It's a shame because the female owner was always nice, but the dark haired guy who I think is named Jamie needs a lesson in customer service, or go find a job where he's not around the public. read more

Buldogies is an incredible experience, to meet it is foodie heaven. I have been going there since they opened and I love not only the awesome food, but the team there each day! The owners have always treated me and everyone that walks through the door as family, or at least friends! They show how thankful they are for all of us who support them. Poor people got slammed due to 4th of July fireworks at the dam and only 2 employees working. You fill out your own ticket and hand it to a free employee then patient wait for them to not be super busy. Again like I said they were slammed and out of just about everything.
